  • so beautiful, i love beer to

  • Couple of questions, the copper manifold is a filter, but where does the wort feed into it, does it have little holes or something?? Also Theperrynator said he should have steeped the malted barley, what does that mean?

  • Why did you water the wert down? I would have sparged more to get all of the goodies out of those grains!! Looks good though!

  • whats the abv for the beer u made?

  • Fantastic tutorial. It will make a true beer professional out of me, some day.

    Thank you waterball.

  • He also should be lautering directly into his brewpot. Creepy is right.

  • This guy is like the epitome of a String Cheese fan. LOVE it :D

  • he wouldn't have to hassle with half of this if he simply steeped the malted barley instead of mixing it in.

  • this guy creeps me out, seriously, but it looks like he makes a damn good beer.

  • Thanks, learned heaps, but what is the purpose of the copper manifold?

  • It acts as a filter.

  • i wish i was your neighbor

  • i wish i had a knife like that

  • who sings that song around 4min? message me please

  • Dude, if you want to truly pay respect to your wort, which is pronounced wert by the way, you shouldn't aerate the shit out of it when it is on hot side! Homebrewers!!

  • i might have missed it but whats the purpose of the copper hexagon ring sitting on the bottom of the pot?

  • man at the start of the video you run your finger on the PH tester.... don't you think that is rather stupid considering your fingers may have a high PH due to soap or vinegar from chips etc. it could be the difference between a good beer and a bad beer :O

  • When running off the mash directly from the tap into the plastic bin are you not worried about hot side aeration? I'd use a pipe to avoid aerating the wort at this stage.

  • Who makes the 50 quart mashtun & boiler? Great job - good info.

  • Beer tasting out of plastic cups. Mmm... ech!

  • Red-neck luv to ya! All the "MASH" copper and fire aside did ya ever think about,.. the sourmash dump on yopur compost?? "BEER-FED" canabus plants.. nitrogen, sunshine and a better spiritual experience?? Other than that "this" is a great hobby!! Post apocaliptic ideas for self preservation!!

  • Carbonation is acheived by priming the beer with corn sugar (takes about two weeks) or force carbonating with CO2. About 25 PSI for 24-36 hours.

  • YEAH! HopTown IPA! represent!

  • What about hot-side aereation? I know...relax, don't worry! Wouldn't a different false bottom give you better extraction? ; ) Nice work!

  • Hey thanks,

There might be a more efficient false-bottom. But the copper one came with the kettle and has worked fine for 15 years. Every five years or so I will clean it with steel wool to make it shiny again. It will last forever!

  • HSA is a myth.

  • you dont carbonate the beer or something?

  • Foolish none beer drinker, anyone who drinks beer should know that the yeast naturally carbonates the beer! Well actually i really dont know but that would be my guess which i should be correct.
