I thought No Mercy was a very good show in that both main events delivered the goods, and just about every undercard match was either decent or wildly exceeded my expectations.
However, I do not feel so strongly about No Mercy that I would attack anyone who didn't like it. My opinions are not the standard.

I would've loved for Sarah Palin to use the "well, that's your opinion" with every response she had at the debate. This is just taking the "everyone has their own opinion" argument a tad too seriously. Siskel & Ebert had logic behind their opinions, no matter how different they were. It's not like Siskel said "Mortal Kombat sucked, because it's gay" then Ebert says "pfft, whatever." Slayer made sense because he was logical. Everyone has their own opinions, but why can't everyone have logic, too?

Yeah. This is just one of those topics that goes in circles and no one can really win. There isn't much length you can take this, which is why Slayer is going to get on this dude about blocking people, rather than what the topic of this video was about. It's like "Yeah, everyone has opinions... so, why do you make a video complaining about Slayer's? It's a contradiction in itself and redundant, really.
I think Truthslayer was saying if you gave the two main events 4 stars and gave the ppv less than 7.0 then you're a moron because two 4 star matches as the main event should have a 7.0 higher rating. Now I kinda agree with that but if the mid card is terrible, which this one was bad but not terrible that i believe you can get it 5.5-6.9.

See I don't agree with that as if you give me two great matches unless the undercard is so bad you can't get through, which this was far from that, I can't see how you can say it was a bad PPV. Now if you didn't think the HHH vs Hardy match was GREAT then that is diffrent but when you have people saying you have two Great matches then saying it was a bad PPV that to me is stupid.
Yeah I understand that I gave the ppv a 7.0. I thought the two main events were really good and the midcard wasn't that bad but if the midcard was all 1 and a half star or less than i can see somebody giving it less than 7 but I agree that this ppv should get a7 or more if you think the main event matches were great.
I will agree with one thing with you about No Mercy sure the last to matches where good to great with IMO HHH/Hardy being a great match and HBK/Y2J being a good ladder match not a great ladder match I felt it could have been better. God that stuff before those matches was a pain to watch with allot of lackluster matches and a long drawn out MVP/Orton skit that went nowhere.
Excellent points! I didn't even bother watching No Mercy because of the underwhelming card that didn't really make me care. Marc P gave TSlay's video 1 star. You have to have a good undercard as well as good main events on your PPV. EcwHardCore07 underrated Victory Road and I thought it was a 7/10, but I still respected his opinion.

What do you think is a good undercard though? Also I am sorry if you have two GREAT matches on your show its a damm good show that is more than you can ask for. Just go back and look at how many shows have ever had more than 1 GREAT match on it...now lets see if I am banned as well as veryone else that would respond to some of the stuff on here.
Plenty of shows have had more than one great match. The great matches on No Mercy's card just so happened to be the last two. From my perspective, if you have to sift through several mediocre matches just to get to those last great two, it's generally not worth buying the entire show unless those undercard matches are able to flow well enough all the way through to those last two great matches. The undercard didn't flow, and therefore the undercard was pretty sub-par.
Thank you Jpwn3r. If most of, if not all of the undercard matches don't flow right, it's an OK PPV at best. Plus, the hype toward most matches has been pretty weak.
Where ever did I say I didn't like the show? I just said it wasn't worth shelling out $40 to watch the entire show. I believe HHH vs Hardy was right where it needed to be. The undercard just felt too cookie-cutter to me. "Here's a match, here's a match..."all the way to those last 2 matches. I never said HHH vs Hardy should have been moved down to even out the card. All I'm saying is a good, flowing undercard is key to enjoying an entire show.

It may have come off that way but what I meant was that it makes little sense to call an entire show great simply because the last 2matches were great. 2/6 matches delivered on the card in my eyes. If the 4 matches before those last 2 were contributing something worth watching to said show while flowing well enough into each other then the overall show becomes that much more enjoyable. A viewer becomes entertained leading up to those last 2 matches rather than simply waiting to get to them.

Good video, i think truthslayer is incorect on many of his points as I do not feel the ppv was "GOOD" i felt the last two matches were good, but does that make a show good? not in my view. Also is it just me or should 5.0 be an average rating as it is the medium of the scale from 1-10? how is a 7 average? just something that i don't get with peoples reviews.
the main event was incredible. It was the first time in AGES that i have watched a match and aloud said "HOLY SHIT". Amazing match, fantastic. I also liked Big show vs Taker very much apart from the finish.

Look the way I see it as being bad is the fact in my own personal opinion without attacking any wrestlers I like or dislike it was a boring PPV. And ass for your ratings in the review you did in your video about No Mercy I would say that there wasn't 1, 4 star match
The hardy match was lame as hell in my view the womens match was a waste of time. The Kane and Rey match was a botch fest that was boring. JBL and Batistas match was boring and slow. And the show and Taker match you your self even rated 3 stars.
HH and Hardy wasn't a 4 star match it was far from it and once again proves HHH is superman not CENA. Oh and just to let you know I don't have any issue with HHH. And the Jericho vs. Michaels was not 4 1/2 stars like you rated it I thought it was ok. Again if you have been watching a PPV 20+ years and say that a 2 match show is not a good show then I would love to hear what you do consider a good show. As most PPVs might have ONE great match on it. No one is saying you have to say its a 4 1/2 star match.
I will say that in a way your correct in my views and wrong. Even with a PPV that had 2 great matches if the rest of the show was ok or good depending on the show could be a good PPV. But in my opinion there were 2 good matches on No Mercy 08 but I don't rate them in the way you would thats all. I will admit that maybe I would have seen things differently as a kid who didn't critique wrestling at all other then like or dislike I didn't start breaking things down like this until I was like 20.

You're right. For $40-50, just two good matches are not enough. That's a lot of money, gone are the days where in your house ppvs were only $20. We all have our opinions about things. I thought the two main events were really good and the midcard wasn't that bad but if the midcard was all 1 and a half star or less than i can see somebody giving it less than 7 but I agree that this ppv should get a7 or more if you think the main event matches were great.

I will agree with one thing with you about No Mercy sure the last to matches where good to great with IMO HHH/Hardy being a great match and HBK/Y2J being a good ladder match not a great ladder match I felt it could have been better. God that stuff before those matches was a pain to watch with allot of lackluster matches and a long drawn out MVP/Orton skit that went nowhere.

Excellent points! I didn't even bother watching No Mercy because of the underwhelming card that didn't really make me care. Marc P gave TSlay's video 1 star. You have to have a good undercard as well as good main events on your PPV. EcwHardCore07 underrated Victory Road and I thought it was a 7/10, but I still respected his opinion.

Just go back and look at how many shows have ever had more than 1 GREAT match on it...now lets see if I am banned as well as veryone else that would respond to some of the stuff on here.

Plenty of shows have had more than one great match. The great matches on No Mercy's card just so happened to be the last two. From my perspective, if you have to sift through several mediocre matches just to get to those last great two, it's generally not worth buying the entire show unless those undercard matches are able to flow well enough all the way through to those last two great matches. The undercard didn't flow, and therefore the undercard was pretty sub-par.

Where ever did I say I didn't like the show? I just said it wasn't worth shelling out $40 to watch the entire show. I believe HHH vs Hardy was right where it needed to be. The undercard just felt too cookie-cutter to me. "Here's a match, here's a match..."all the way to those last 2 matches. I never said HHH vs Hardy should have been moved down to even out the card. All I'm saying is a good, flowing undercard is key to enjoying an entire show.

It may have come off that way but what I meant was that it makes little sense to call an entire show great simply because the last 2matches were great. 2/6 matches delivered on the card in my eyes. If the 4 matches before those last 2 were contributing something worth watching to said show while flowing well enough into each other then the overall show becomes that much more enjoyable. A viewer becomes entertained leading up to those last 2 matches rather than simply waiting to get to them.

the main event was incredible. It was the first time in AGES that i have watched a match and aloud said "HOLY SHIT". Amazing match, fantastic. I also liked Big show vs Taker very much apart from the finish.

And the Jericho vs. Michaels was not 4 1/2 stars like you rated it I thought it was ok. What Im saying is that 1 or even 2 matches in a PPV in my opinion is not cause for considering a PPV good it needs to be a whole to be considered good in my views as a fan. I will say that in a way your correct in my views and wrong. Even with a PPV that had 2 great matches if the rest of the show was ok or good depending on the show could be a good PPV. But in my opinion there were 2 good matches on No Mercy 08 but I don't rate them in the way you would thats all. I will admit that maybe I would have seen things differently as a kid who didn't critique wrestling at all other then like or dislike I didn't start breaking things down like this until I was like 20.

You're right. For $40-50, just two good matches are not enough. That's a lot of money, gone are the days where in your house ppvs were only $20. We all have our opinions about things.
