Kubrick is too much of a craftsman to put things into his films for mere 'coincidence'. Eyes wide shut has always been a huge mystery to me about what it was he was trying to say and what exactly it was all about. I also believe it wasn't the actual cut that Kubrick had intended. And Kubrick almost always gets final cut. I wonder what he would have done with A.I. It appears there's a bit of weird stuff in that as well.
