I am an American living in Taiwan, circumstances have changed. For those who believe that Taiwan is part of China are technically correct because yes it is the Republic of China but it is not mainland China which is completely different. It is a separate island that would be better without China. Before you judge and say that Taiwan is NOT it's own country should visit and see for yourself. The government works perfectly without China and they are their own people.
