IL-2 is not going to get its ass kicked YET. It offers a lot more planes and a different setting + it's a lot cheaper and has lower system requirements. I bought RoF but didn't have the graphics card, so I sent it back and got IL-2.

I love modern day air combat also, but WW2 was the pinical of air combat!

Kind of cliche though. Most of combat flight sims or mock combat flight sims are set in WWII.
