Tara became the most trusted commenter. Her past experiences with figure skating put her at the top of her level of competency. Shizuka also had her debut as a commenter. I would highly appreciate it if you learn how to respect Tara's right to do her job. You may not agree with some of the things she says, but it is her job to make a commentary of that figure skater, and you do not have the right to shut her up.

Her ability to rise to the occasion, address the pressures coming from hopes of an entire nation, is something that I will always admire. Beautiful music certainly helps carry the day no question about it. A moment of beauty in her career for sure.

i have to agree with tara, i think this is the one performance i've seen where she's at least tried to connect to the music. although she has nice jumps her skating doesn't impress me.

Why come on all these videos, people keep focusing on the commentary? The commentary was fine, you don't need to point it out. Focus on the skating. Miki Ando did a beautiful performance and all you can say is Tara did an excellent job of commentating? Who cares?
I loved Miki's skating, it's so elegant and delicate. She really showed personality. Congrats on the gold.

@strawberrykiwi20a Miki has one of the best performances of her career with a near-flawless performance and Tara has to complain about why she didn't have a triple-triple and a 3Flip instead of a 3 Loop. Ugh - shut up Tara! Miki might not need a 3-3 with her improved artistry ...or who knows maybe she had a mild injury. Who knows? Dick Button, Scott Hamilton or Peggy Flemming would make you get really excited when a skater did very well but Tara just annoys ...well, annoys me anyway.

Tara did an excellent job of commentating and she had the right to analyze..she is after all a great champion and knows what she is talking about. She skated the skate...didn't just talk the talk...I suspect that the criticism of Tara has to do with her Olympic Gold Medal Win in 1998....hmmmm....
