Guavas in Hawaii

yum. supermarket guava's never seemed picked right or were frozen for shipping (& not organic...) but the juice, heavenly.

all the best natural things either cost too much because of evil capitalisms false economy, if they are even available in places like scotland. i've not even seen the non-organic ones here for about 8 years.

we have several guava and mango trees in my backyard in our family home in India. how i miss being there in there in the summer time!

The best guavas I've ever tasted - except maybe the ones from my native Cuba - were the ones I picked from trees in Hana. Heavenly! Nothing in any supermarket comes close, so I never buy them. Funny story - a guy stopped me on the trail to ask if I'd noticed the "limes" growing everywhere! LOL! I told him they were unripe guavas and gave him one of my good ones to try. Hopefully, he liked it!

I keep guava plants in pots so that I can look after them indoors during winter. Their fruits are delicious but not as large as those shown in the video. The climate in Tokyo is a little too cool for them, I suppose.

I like guavas, but seldom to see they sale in usa market but in oriental market and expensive too, hopefully one day i'll travel to hawaii to have guawa to eat alot, yummi yummi yumi hehehe
