  • ive always been a camaro guy myself, but i have to say, when these years of mustang's are done up right, like your's i can't help to say there so nasty!, if i found a mustang at the right price i would not hesitate to buy it!

  • @rockstardrinker95 haha, thank you!

  • my stang has a miss like this. i think its my cold air intake sensor but it only pops and back fires when shes cold and running at 1100rmps-2200rpm

  • @heymynameistyler

I have an 88 lx with the 5.0 swap and mine does it too. A lot of times it bucks too.....

  • @Loudandproud90 im getting all new sensores for the ford, ill let you know if it clears it up.

  • @heymynameistyler Nevermind ....I found out the issue and now my car drives great and its got a lot better performance. Turns out the guy that i bought it from a few weeks ago have the timing advanced to like 25 or 26 degrees........

  • even sounds better :)

  • hey man, I built your computer lol... happened to stumble on your videos and thought "damn this is a small world". car sounds nice bud, keep up the good work!

  • @my77stang haha, I recognize you're screen name. Check out my newer videos!

  • not talking shit i have a fox myself love them great cars. BUT why pay someone tune ? i mean buy urself wideban adjust fuel to ur airfuel throw some timing in it call it a day. Only reason i can see taking a car to a shop is for drivabilty isssues say from turbo or s/c. like the vids tho

  • @gorditaking69 did you not hear the car? I had played with timing, fuel, and everything I could, and nothing worked. Got a tune, and it drives perfect. I say it was worth it.

  • @Xarmy187 dyno tuning is always better then no dyno tuning

  • what did they use to tune your car? Diablo or SCT?

  • @91331gt i believe it was a diablo chip.

  • my 68 in my videos has all most the same exact setup ...numbers look about right ....i made 300 and 300 out of same motor with a tiny 600 edelbrock and performer 289 intake ....swapped to efi and used a victor efi intake and sum other goodies ....made 348 rwhp

  • @svtmotorman cool! I had to rebuild the motor, due to spun bearings, and put on a victor 5.0 EFI intake while I was at it. I think the car is around 340rwhp now. It picked up 5 tenths and 4mph in the 1/4 mile alone just from the rebuild and new intake :)

  • what cam do u got?

  • Comment removed

  • @micus09 24lb injectors

  • Comment removed

  • @EGOBreaker50 WAT?

  • Comment removed

  • @EGOBreaker50 my car has 24lb injectors....

  • nice car man

  • Like music to my ears!

  • nice numbers. is this on a stock bore 302? if so i wouldnt what the numbers would look like if its a 327 or 342

  • @lucky700 yes, stock bottom end.

  • @lucky700 331 or 347***

  • what head and cam setup are u runnin? any other mods, i saw u upped the fuel press a little too.

  • @anythingwitwheels all modifications are in the description. lots of things changing, so stay tuned ;)

  • @chevyslayer1 I couldn't really drive the car hard before, it would break up, but yes it felt better.

he played with it a bit before putting it on the dyno the first time, so it probably picked up a bit from what it was making before the dyno right there. first pull on the dyno was like 303hp, the best pull was 321rwhp.

I would guess the tune gained me 20 to 30 horse power.

  • @chevyslayer1 It's really hard to follow what your asking. but yes, you will gain power from bumping your timing higher. Timing was set at 10* base when he started, and played with the timing in the computer.

yes a dyno tune is worth it if you have heads/cam upgrade. stock heads and cam will see almost no gain from a dyno tune.

  • @chevyslayer1 I believe he put the timing at 16* base, and in the computer made it ramp up a little faster then stock. For fuel pressure I think I was at 46psi with the vaccum off, but my fuel pressure gauge seems in-accurate.

  • Aint no one jelious of you brahh lol

  • U know we runnin the same setup besides i got afr heads 165's and 80 tb and also im runnin a comp wit a 512 lift 1.7 rockers but my rear got 373's i just givin u a hard time earlier bro lol dont get offended lol i like sarcasim but yah my everyday green one was just my rider i since sold it for 2k and dropped that in my garaged one ima post some vids saturday so go try and clown me lol hey how much it costs for a tune bcuz ima need one

  • @707mustang707 cost me $500 for the tune and dyno time. stop being a dick. im obviously a nice guy, dont need people trying to rag on my car just because there ass hats that are jealous.

  • what cam are you running?

im on the search for a nice cam for my car

  • @SuperElitaylor its a Trickflow Stage 2 cam. very good cam for something off the shelf/not custom. just make sure to check piston to valve clearance, as its about as big as you can go with stock pistons.

  • that car is fuckin sick

  • @hass5006 haha, thanks man. check out my other videos!

  • how much did it cost you for all those pulls, my car keeps backfireing through the intake at WOT, Sweet ride man sounds great

  • @BigBoyd06 it cost $500 for the dyno time and tune.

have you pulled your distributor lately? backfireing into the intake sounds like a timing issue.

  • @BigBoyd06 hey what size throttle body u got ? i got the same set up trickflow heads r manifold stage two cam

stock 302 24 pound injetors ? i had a 70mm went to 75mm felt like it lost power

  • @rodarte20 um i think i have a 75mm, my buddy has all stock 87 with intake bbk shorties and flowmaster cat back still hasstock 4 cats, his car pulls right beside mine but i need a tune bad 3k in topend should walk that some bitch

  • @BigBoyd06 clean your mass air floww sensor the little wires may be dirty which can couse improper fuel/air ratio, and thats why it backfires into the intake..it should only take 5 minutes and be very gentle while doing so...let me know if this helps..if it doesnt i bet i know someone who can tell you whats wrong...btw the sensor is by the air filter.

  • @MIGHTYSAMINYOURFACE i fuckin threw my C&L meter in the trash and got a pro m like this guy Xarmy187 told me to do and everyone else, car fucking rip's now but i still need o2 sensors i dicked mine all up

  • nice car bro is this still with the 302?, i have a 95 stang and want to do achieve the same rwhp as you.

  • @thelsx454 yes, stock 302, 160,000 miles, one dead cylinder, and spun a bearing a month after this dyno. My build is not complex at all, just well picked out parts, that performed better then expected. Check the discription for a full list of mods!

    oh, and subscribe :)

  • @Xarmy187 which tfs heads are they, sorry to hear about that bearing, good luck on your new build.

  • @thelsx454 thanks! there trickflow track heat heads. 170cc, o-ringed, and ported a little bit. but nothing note worthy.

new build is fordstrokers built 347, same heads (more porting) and same cam. hoping for close to 400hp at the wheels

  • @Xarmy187 hey how are you tuning the car on the dyno,r you adjusting the timing,or your fuel preassure?or something else

  • @MIGHTYSAMINYOURFACE had a tuner do it via a chip attached to the computer, and a laptop.

  • I like the "sleeper" look... 300hp in a conservative LX convertible.... nice!

  • @NedacFilms yep. not many people build convertibles, so I like doing something different. but with the wide micky thompsons, and mean sounding cammed exhaust, it isn't to much of a "sleeper" haha

  • yea that last run was very good.................y was it running lean on the first runs and all? new motor? is it carbed?

  • @bbsombs just needed tuned to the new set up. stock computer won't put up with the cam/heads/24lb injectors

  • @Xarmy187 find an A9L computer, they can handle pretty much anything you can throw at it, with factory tune... up to 400hp.

  • @NedacFilms I tried a A9L my buddy had, and it didn't help my running problems. So im just going to have it re-tuned after I rebuild the motor.

  • which twisted heads are they? and are u runing stock injectors

  • @413murdermass twisted wedge 170cc heads, with a little bowl work, and I have 24lb injectors

  • sweet im looking to make simalar numbers

  • mine has 306cid typhoon upper and lower intake manifold 75mm MAF cai bbk 70mm throttle body 30lb injector 1.6 scorpion Rockers 1" manifold spacer msd blaster coil chromeoly push rods keith black flat top pistons twisted wedge 190cc "fast as cast" heads trick flow stange 2 cam aluminum underdrive pulleys MK1 short throw shifter king cobra clutch 2.5" pypes x pipe SLP loudmouth shotgun resonators 3 3/4" tips gt-40 strut tower brace 17" bullet rims 245/45R17
  • and 373 gears

  • @413murdermass you should make atleast what I did, but probably a bit more from the sounds of your build.

  • @Xarmy187 ill find out in the spring. motors getting compleatly torn down putin new ring ect

  • @413murdermass haha, yea, mines getting new bearings and rings too

  • i love your 5.0 its a childhood fav i been so into the imports i forgot my roots. are you ever gunna get GT ground effects

  • @truelegendinblack haha, yea, me too. I love'd 5.0's when I was younger, and im pretty addicted to modifying this one.

If the GT ground effects wern't so heavy, I would put them on. but I like the car being light for racing.

  • @Xarmy187 thats the way to do it.. looks are nothing compared to the looks of ricers when you destroy them

  • @xmodrock I like the fact that im building a monster out of a convertible. its one thing to get your ass handed to you, its another to be raped by a car that no one thinks can be build fast just because of the soft top

  • @Xarmy187 lol i love sleepers... clean.. nice looking cars.... with astounding HP.. lol perfect .. and peoples reactions are great.. and your right.. i would never thing of modding a convertible to be fast

  • Did you ever fix that breaking up? I have the same problem, want to know how to fix it

  • @Njknittle the tuning solved 99% of it. I still have a slight stumble.

  • ohh yea i kno lol it sucks i think i have to get a k member n caster plates for them to fit tho ..they hit my struts soo i still have to 4 banger ones on it u look at my vid lol

  • what u mean?? so ur saying i wont be able to get my 17x9 rims in the front??

  • @repinda561 no, they should fit fine. I meant some of the 4cylinder mustangs came with smaller rims.

  • ohh dam cu my car use to be a 4 banger and my front rims wont fit lol and idk whyyy

  • @repinda561 some of them had small 14" rims I believe. that could be an issue.

  • ohhh cuz thr rims u have on it are for the 4 bangers lol thats why i asked

  • @repinda561 oh, no, those are some old rims I bought off someone so I could mount street tires. my other rims are weld drag lites and have 275/50/15 micky thompsons on them.

I have just heard drag radials can make your numbers lower on a dyno, so I threw on the crappy rims and tires for the dyno.

  • was this thing a 4 banger before??

  • @repinda561 no sir. its a LX "sport" convertible. 5.0l motor came in it.

  • dam dude, nice numbers. congrats on hard work paid off

  • @capasquarello Thanks!

check out my other videos :)

  • @Xarmy187 yea dude i saw them, i saw your 1st video when your car dynoed like 228 or something... How upsetting man. I had a 95 cobra with almost full bolt onsand a tune, and made like 240. (pissed me off soo bad.) but i sold it and now ive got an 89 306 with afr165's f cam.. the works. and it feels good. Yea dude, your other vids are sick. Congrats.

  • @capasquarello haha, yea, mustangs can be disappointing until built right. I am still working out a few bugs, currently installing a new clutch, then have to adjust my roller rockers AGAIN.

  • @Xarmy187 very true, my lx has 1.6 roller rockers, i actually baught it with everthing done to it, unlike my cobra, and wow it feels good to not have to do anything except cosmetics, because it looks like a piece. but it a recently rebuilt motor and trans so i still "breaking it in" so i have to drive it like a civic most the time. but it should be putting out numbers close to yours which should be TONS of fun.

  • @capasquarello good luck with it, I hope the best

  • @Xarmy187 thanks man, same to you. Ill post a vid or something wen i get some time.

  • Thanks mann really appreciate the info.

  • @hemnkyjr no problem!

  • Nice car mann.R u running a stock block and bottom end?

  • @hemnkyjr yes, 100% stock 160,000 miles bottom end and block

  • Nice car mann. R u running a stock block and bottom end?

  • Interesting what do you have for your fuel system (FPR,Injectors,Fuel Pump)? Im still tinkering with the car as soon as its set I post some action. I've seen few of your vids, your car is badass nice numbers and combo! How come I never seen your top down ahah? I got a 92 vert aswell.

  • @shundal17 fuel pressure regulator is from professional products, 24lb ford injectors, and a 255 high pressure welbro fuel pump.

I try to put the top down as much as possible, but im mostly driving on a quick romp, and dont feel like dealing with the latch's.

plus I have red/black interior with ash grey seats from a 1994 mustang GT so they are an eye sore.

  • Hey I have a similar set up, what was your final fuel pressure set at and aswell as final base timing and spark gap for maximum power. Thanks

  • @shundal17 fuel pressure is around 46-48lbs, base timing at 10* with the tune putting it up to 16* via the computer, and spark gap is around .40

  • On the dyno graph, its wheel hp and torque right?

  • @gunzkevin yes sir, it is rated at the wheels.

  • its cool to see how your car is doing! Very nice Stang!

  • @gdahl2 Thanks! how is your's doing? you haven't made a video in a while!

  • nothing like a cammed up 5.0 haha, what kind of cam is in that thing again?

great work dude, im sure you were happy with the results!

  • @denmah thanks man, glad to see you keeping up with my videos! The cam is a Trickflow stage 2 cam installed strait up. about as big of a "off the shelf" cam you can go with the stock bottom end.

I'm very happy with the numbers, with 160k miles you would think It would make less, but these 5.0s can be nasty when built right.

even still, Im itching like a crack addict to hook the nitrous back up, and see what thats like on this new set up

  • Lol @ the guy pluggin his ears @ 2:50

  • @BigDiesel85 yep, car is REAL loud now. same exhaust as before with the stock heads and cam, but now that the motor is free to breathe, its twice as loud as it was before, its crazy, lol

  • Lol @ the guy pluggin his ears @ 2:50

  • Comment removed

  • So what do u think its makin at the crank?

  • @BigDiesel85 380-395hp at the motor

  • bad ass stang

  • bad ass stang

  • @palmbeachstang Thanks! watch my other videos, and subscribe!

  • @palmbeachstang Thanks!

  • Hey xarmy ive seen all of your videos, im having a problem with my 86 stang it keeps surging i tried all the possible fixes but still no use?? help thanks

  • @ZEN0M0RPH could you be a little more descriptive? have you pulled the KOER codes? If not, I would do that first

  • @Xarmy187 My car has no EGR no smog etc....i recently bought a 70 mm throttle body and has no air intake only a filter? maybe thats the problem, it gave me running rich codes 91 and 92

  • @ZEN0M0RPH what do you mean no air intake only a filter? im not sure what you mean?

have you checked and cleaned the MAF?

  • @Xarmy187 its dosent have MAF its speed density.....you have a BBK cold air intake i dont have anything but a filter on the throttle body

  • @ZEN0M0RPH the only real problem with that is your pulling in hot air from the headers.

speed density cars HATE modifictions. they will run like crap with the minimal things done.

you still need to look over the car for other issues, but It could just be that you need to set it up for a mass air flow sensor

  • @ZEN0M0RPH thinking about it more, it could be a vaccum leak. get a bottle of water and spray around the engine. on the gaskets and different areas where the air travels into the motor. if there is a leak, and it sucks in the water, the car will hiccup, or bog down. the water wont hurt anything ether.

  • Sick!!!

  • @Vert344 thanks! I'm very happy with the results!

  • thats awesome man...wat exactly do they mean by "safe" tune? lol

  • @gpfordstang302 He said the car was too lean. i've seen n/a set ups that lean before, and it wasn't a issue. I think he just didn't want to be blamed if something happened to the motor from it. IDK. So the tune is now pretty rich and happy like stock set up, but its not the best for power.

  • @Xarmy187 ohh ok I see...thanks much!

  • @gpfordstang302 no problem!
