When I walked in there, I was really intimidated by all the actors there (most of them there had been in schools plays and stuff) but I'm glad I stayed :D

as much as i want to be on film, there are almost NO good roles for beginning young women in film, especially what i've seen in toronto. it's discouraging because although i fit the model type, i prefer to play stronger, interesting characters who are more than someone's ditsy trophy girlfriend. i want to support feminist work and it's hard to find in film. theatre is more empowering.

...but I bet there are local plays (theatre)? With help from your parents, find your local theatre and inquire if there are opportunities to act in a play at your age. If not, keep practicing at home and looking locally first. You would be amazed at what the other actors can suggest to keep you busy acting.

Look a the college websites for theater plays or productions. It is not common that a college will have "acting classes" but rather a lot of plays you can audition for parts in. You will then gain the experience to act.

Listen and re-listen to my videos and make sure you memorize the tips. Being young and needing help from others is an obstacle that all younger actors have so you must work with your mom to get cooperation. This means being helpful to your mom so she does the same for you.

With the help and permission of your parents, look up "talent agent" or "talent agency" in your local yellow pages. If not there, try internet with largest city near you. You want to ask a legitimate, established agent how you can get auditions. If they have the time, they will give you ideas to help you out.

Hi Bianca, thank for your comments. It would help of you could find a reputable acting school and try enrolling. Acting is a skill more than it is a natural talent. It is hard to get started because everyone wants to do it and so only the very good actors get the regular work. Good luck!

Hi im 16 from Ireland, this is a longshot but is it too late to take a liking or taking to acting? Im a comedic guy but can pull off emotions, (well so i think), ive never shown a acting coach so in all honesty i could be terrible.
