Love Rosemeyer oversteering out of the tunnel! Caraciola's lap record of 1.46 in 37' stood until 55' when Fangio did 1.41.1 in the short chassis W-196, what amazing days, wish I could have seen it!!!

Damn the Monaco track has changed in 70 years, just one long straight out of the tunnel along the water front, no swimming pool complex and just a hairpin turn on to pit straight.

but it was not easier. 100 laps, no termac, justb paralel rocks, trameay lines in some parts of the track... in those times racing was for stong minded, cold blooded, and fearless man (woman didn't race yet).
