I just got a HP mini 1000. Last night I tried to use the web cam and just got a lot of darkness, of course all the lights were on. Today though, I used the web cam and it worked fine. The shades were down and it was actually kind of dark. Tried using it again at night with the lights on and got darkness again..... Does the web cam actually work better in the dark with barely enough light? Doesn't make any sense but then again why would there be a dark film covering the lens?
so you can make the microphone sensitivity higher then? it's kind of a deal breaker for me if the webcam volume is gonna be that low. it'd be great if you can post more videos on this:) thanks for responding btw

sound is pretty low or is there a volume setting?

that was shot using youtube's "record from webcam" so there was no settings adjustment. The microphone sensitivity is on the stock setting.

btw this was filmed directly with youtube capture. maybe that is the cause the clipped ending and limited quality.
