  • wish i am a painter .... i d love to paint these expressions on Dilip Sahab s face....

  • What a bhajan!! ONe of Rafi Sahab's top 5. Amazing rendition. Such emotions!!

  • In Each and every movie Madhubala gave her heart, soul and whole life

for hindi cinema. She had true love Mr Dilipkumar but Kishore Kumar

helped her during her sickness. Madhubala will never be duplicated

    ever.

    sjhobalia Sion Bombay-22 July 19th 2011

  • I have done lot of research regarding DILIP MADHUBALA tragic love affair nd come to conclusion that DILIP MADHU ND HER FATHER all had their own priorities which prevented happy ending, she wanted to be successful actress remembered for her success,at the same time she loved dilip as well.DILIP demanded that she give up acting after marriage whereas her father needed in come nd refused to her getting too close to DILIP.

  • I JUST READ ONE COMMENT dilip saying in court he did not love madhubala is opposite to what he actually said was that he loved her nd always will love her,nd acording to her sister ZAHIDA she only loved dilip kumar go on google u will find all about them.

  • I PRAY TO ALLMIGHTY GOD TO FORGIVE HER SINS COMMITTED IN LIFE LIKE EVERY BODY ELSE SHE TOO WAS A HUMAN ND TAKE HER IN JANAT FERDOS AMIN.

  • i watched Tarana in my younger days in ABBOTTABAT WHERE I WAS A YOUNG COLLEGE STUDENT,not taking any notice of the film except ordering sweater like dilip wore in the film untill started using internet, since january last year, when i read about dilip madhu romance nd found out about these very special people how it ended in tragedy nd she died at the age of 33 i as always sympathysing with sufrers have become her fan. M interested to share my thoughts no is 00447828182015. email ijazk65@yahoo.com

  • mine too

  • where are you rafi ? it isn't the same without you all we have today is crappy singers and musicians i wish you were alive again

  • Extremely superb. The face expression of Dilip Sahib showed his inside in the film scene. His dry eyes and gestures proved him a GREAT artist. And Madhubala in the same height of art. WONDERUL. Khalid Asghar, former Controller/ Station Director, Radio Pakistan, Lahore (05 July 2010)

  • thank you mr. khalid asghar for your nice comment. i fully agree with you on the talents of mr. dilip kumar (Yusuf sahib). I am thrilled you are writing from pakistan. this is one of dilip kumar's finest movie along with devdas, nayaDaur, ganga jamuna and mughal e azam. thanks again for the comment. prabhakara

  • @prabakara Thanks dear prabakara, for your reply. You up loaded a song immensely liked me. It contains all segments of art. Khalid Asghar. (05 July 2010)

  • HISTORY WILL SURELY DOMINATE OVER INDIAN MEDIA WHO ARE CONTINUOSLY NEGLECTING THE BEST ACTOR OF WORLD DILIP KUMAR . THEY ARE PROMOTING AMITABH BACHAN JUST DUE TO A HINDU ACTOR .. AGAIN AND AGAIN THEY JUST PLAY HIS FILMS ON TV CHANNELS FOR NEW GENERATION....... AMITABH HAS NOT A SINGLE FILM IN HIS "HERO ERA TIME" LIKE MASTER PIECES OF DILIP KUMAR . HE CLICKED DUE TO HIS ANGRY YOUNG MAN IMPACT . HE IS A GOOD CHARACTER ACTOR. DILIP KUMAR IS THE BEST HERO EVER PRODUCED BY INDIAN CINEMA.

  • DIlip Kumar was the Best Actor Hindi Movies ever had!!!

  • Comment removed

  • rafi saab;s voice .....WOW!!!

  • What a superb film Amar was. Dilip and Madhubala played excellently. Mehboob Khan produced and directed the movie and it is really immortal.

  • irony of muslim actors having to adopt hindu names & then having to go to a "temple of justice"- & this is apart from all the gender stereotyping

  • reject

  • nice song and very meaningful, yes purifying the soul is very must

  • Hazaroon sal nargis apni benoori pe roti hai.

  • Mohammad Rafi the greatest singer in the world ever. what a voice what control, what skill, what range, inimitable even today. Underrated by indian film industry who only awarded him a handful of awards and none posthumously. Just look at the shear number of difficult songs he sang. A pillar of the industry. They should mourn the loss of such talant every night and every day

  • dilip kumar is the best actor ever he is brilliant and madhubala is amazing they are great together

    thanks for this beautiful add

  • they made such a perfect couple.

  • In real life he ditched her. There was a court case(long story, try googling) , he openly declared that he does not love her. This after having an affair with her. This seem to have hurt her so badly that she went into acute depression,

  • i think it was not that but yu br partially right. Madubala took her fathers side and i guess she did the right but dilip kumar did not do the right thing by givinging witness against her. I think he lacked of integrity. If i was dilip kumar i would atleast avoid testifying against her!

  • Madhubala refused to go for outdoor shootings for Naya Daur on her fathers orders, after signing for the picture with BR Chopra. Dilip said what was right in the court. The real culprit was her father.

The decision against her came incidentally on the day Naya Daur was released with Vyjayantimal who had replaced her.

  • No yu r damn wrong here. If her father refused to let her go then her father had all right to do that. have yu no right on yur doughter? and madhubala testimonyed on behalf of her father and by doing so she did right. Here one person was wrong that was md. yusuf(dilip kumar) He could stay out if he was really honest but i guess he was a opportunist.

  • lmao to the title!

  • Thanks, Thinker, you know, that is what I feel religion should be all about. Correcting our ownselves before we start correcting others...Ask God's forgiveness for our own mistakes instead of fighting other's for their alleged sins...This can't be achieved by dogma, this requires an open heart..

  • nice

  • indian films lost their way in the sixties and are still groping in the dark. all the great indian films were made during late 40s and fifties. now there is not a single director of the caliber of bimal roy, guru dutt and mehboob. so what you see is mostly junk.and that is my humble opinion.

  • prabakara - u r right and wrong. its true that todays movies are all india shining junk, but there was a resurgence in good movies in late 70's and early 80's. movies like arth, bazaar etc were made by great directors like bengal. even today we occasionally make good movies like water, earth 1947 etc, but yes overall quality has gone down

  • mostly agree with your views but the 60s were also great with many classics, i think they lost the plot in the 70's

  • Now-a-days, i see a lot of movies with good script and good acting. Films like Wednesday, Tarey Zamin par, to name a few. Of course, the days of melody are gone. Singers like Md Rafi and music directors like Naushad come once in a millenium.

  • @prabakara

I totally agree with you Sir.

  • I have da same cassett which has da subtitles like these... :D

  • Film AMAR is like Kohinoor diamond: every face plenty of everlasting brilliance.

  • Bahut Khoob, You make me a very happy person...Thanks...

  • More than anybody, credit should go to Naushad Sahab for composing this beautiful tune in Bhairawi, and using Rafi Sahab's inimitable voice. The enitre composition is just perfect. You cannot improve on it.

  • Thanks, for this wonderful song. Madhubala is gorgeous, beatiful, innocent & elegant. Khalid

  • Thanks, for this wonderful song. Madhubala is gorgeous, beatiful, innocent & elegant. Khalid

  • Same type music & song on Vayjantimala in naya Dour???

  • thanks,prabakara for this wonderful oldies-switerland

  • Indeed his voice was very touching. Most of his songs and Bhajans are memorable.

  • Rafi: Allah (SWT)/Bhagwan entrusted him with powers with which he touched souls while singing religious songs.

  • AWAZ KA FARISHTA--- Mohd Rafi sahab

  • So true!

  • so beutiful :D , what's the film?

  • this scene was from the movie "amar" released in 1954.

directed by mehboob, dilip kumar, madhubala and nimmi

were the stars.thanks for the comment.

  • thanks i want to see amar!!! but i don`t find where i can download it :(

  • seriously doubt if you will be able to download "amar".

only option is to purchase the dvd on the net or borrow

    from a friend.

  • very memorable scene
