  • So you would rather have a crumbling country rather than pay? What a good American you are. I can tell you love your money, eh, I mean country very much. Some things are more important than money - kinda like the survival of our fucking country!

  • nice language, insane in the membrane!! You didn't answer my question; how do we PAY for all these infrrastructure repairs? Be a liberal like you and just hope it will magically appear? Sprinkle some fairy pixie dust on a problem, it will just go away! Yes, I DO love my country, I'm retired military, and my family works hard each day. Each dollar spent is important in the raising of my kids; Obama's bailout won't do anything but plunge us deeper into recession! Robt. Reich wants to lock me out!!

  • ...Obama is therefore on the right track. He has the right idea. We have to put money in places that will get us out of this mess and then write laws to make sure the businesses who put us here to begin with can never do it again. Can government do everything,Hell no. I agree with you on that. But it CAN do what we can't do and the big businesses won't. Republicans want to give money to the people who have money so they can keep, eh, I mean spend it and it trickle down. Bush tried it. no thanks

  • you pay for it by reducing our aircraft carrier groups to what we had during world war 2, from the current ten, to seven. By not funding something as stupid as the f-22. By rasing taxes slightly on the very wealthy. that, is how

  • "Will Republicans Try to Block Infrastructure Projects?"

    Is Rick Warren a shit-spewing two-faced scumbag?

    Same answer: FUCKING HELL YES!

Same solution: PROSECUTION! Better do it quick, or else people will start taking the law into their own hands. And nobody wants THAT.

  • I'm a straight man. Rachel is a gay woman. So why did my heart leap when she did that "Grrrr"?!

  • Do yourself a favor sometime. The next time you go for a 15 minute trip. Count the number of bridges you encounter. You may be very suprised.

  • Don't you think that depends on where you are? Not all the world is like the Great Plains.

  • You are right, of course! The type of infrastucture in need of repair/rebuild is a function of many factors (including location). Bridges are merely one aspect of our ailing national transportation system. Also in need of repair/rebuild are numerous roads, tunnels, rail lines, water systems (including dams), electrical power grids, levees, schools...

FYI - Popular Mechanics has an excellent article available on the web called: "The 10 Pieces of U.S. Infrastructure We Must Fix Now"

  • I saw a special a few months ago on the staggering number of bridges in the United States. That are in dire need of repair and replacement.

To deny the seriousness of even this one element of our deteriorating infrastructure. Is to INSIST upon more disasters like we had in Minneapolis 17 months ago. Most people are unaware of the number of bridges they cross over or under each day.

  • F u sh them, of course they will, they ought be butte mobbed individually, then splayed

  • I'm sure the Rs will find something to complain about to keep the D's stimulus package from passing. They won't give up 28 years of "government is the problem" propaganda that easily.

  • The GOP reminds me of a child who breaks a precious tool and then looks up to say: "Look, it doesn't work".
