  • hey...do you mind if i ask you were you bought those blades..if theres a site plz send me a link :).....Thanks in advace. @masahiro121

  • i have these but they are dull do u have any tips on sharpening them??

  • I don't know if I should cry or laugh because of 5 people that seriously claimed that this was a waste of water.

You are doing really good with two blades, and your accuracy is really great! Keep up the movies. And please, when you are making a blade, next time make a video or at least shoot some pics. Greetings and my best wishes!

  • Wait u made them. R u a blacksmith?

  • Well done.

  • that scenery is beautiful. id hate to see it covered in your blood from you accidentally lopping your head off.

  • That was a rather large waste of plastic haha. Good balance and aim however. The Cuts were pretty well done.

  • very little train..more like no training at all. just dont hurt yourself kid...

  • Interesting stuff. Were dual Kodachi ever actually used?

  • daaaaaang... Love the blades... >3 uber sharp ftw X3 Make me some? lulz, jk. (well, halk jk =P)

  • interesting. do you think you could use a nodachi?

  • very cool

  • Wow that was awesome, I been training for w hile with dual swords, but only bamboo training swords, It must be awesome with real ones

  • Are the swords REALLY heavy? it doesn't seem heavy to you... :S

  • Comment removed

  • @P3tray You kidding? I use full-size katana, and they only weigh 3-5 pounds, Kodachi's are probably no heavier then 2 pounds.

  • @P3tray are you retarded???? scotish calymores dont even weigh 10 pounds.....kodachi way 2 lbs at most...i should know i have 2 of them

  • Comment removed

  • @P3tray nothing wrong with not knowing, but dont put out false information as if you did know.

  • que te hace el samurai¡?

  • Cool dude. U should think about trying other targets as well. I've not tried useing dual kodachi before, so its difficult to get an idea of how it would preform on heavier targets. But with the experience i have with Shinkendo, and Nito-Ken, I'd say it would be worth a shot. Hope to see some interesting vids in the future.

  • not bad technique and the swords most deffineately got the job done. good job, and to the fag that said its a waste of water. go read an encyclopedia and learn the water cycle its not a waste and tap water is free.

  • waste of water lol

  • You need to get some wara imo, I'd like to see you work on a free standing target, the bench-rest is getting in the way.

  • It never fails. Plenty of haters when someone tries posting something like this. I'm no expert on Japanese cutting technique but as a western martial artist, I have to say his cutting technique looked ok to me. I don't know how much of it was the sword and how much of it was technique but her certianly got the job done.

  • the close's thing to the human body is a pig, skin and bone tissue and swines flesh and muscle. try your kodachi on that.

  • i want those swords :'(

  • Those are cool ! Where do you got /earn it?

  • How very Shinomori Aoshi of you

  • this video reminds of aoshi shinomori of ruroni kenshin :)

  • *reminds me*

  • its not a waste hes watering the plants at the same time....question: whould a kodachi be too long to be used duel underhand by a ninja or whatever? or am I thinking of duel tanto's that are used underhand?

  • kodachi if dual weilded would be over hand not under. Mainly that it's weight would have a longer recover time from a swing. Tanto can be weilded under hand but shouldn't ever be, weilding to short a blade under hand only shortens the distance of reach even more, and alot less effective for slicing more effective for stabbing. Personally I prefer over hand slashing and stabbing with more reach.

  • what a waste =/ of water

  • It will be evaporated and return to rain clouds where it will rain back down on the earth.

  • easy for u to think tht way

  • shut up, no one cares, and it isnt a waste of water, in your sense i suppose rain is a waste of water as well?

  • technique (single or double) isn't really that great.

    BUT

somehow, i don't doubt that you made those swords. and if you really did make something that can cut like that, that's some impressive work, my friend.

  • For your own safety, you really shouldn't swing both at once. Kodachi/Wakizashi are significantly tinier and could swing in on you if your not careful. THAT wouldn't be pretty. Good luck with your training, fellow Kodachi user! ^.^

  • WOW really nice!!!

you slice them jugs like i slice butter o.0

    i am just kidding.....

    i don like butter xD

  • usually, you would not be trying to cut with both swords. One would be for parrying blows.

  • Can you post more videos like this? I just think it's cool and your really good!^^

  • 1000000% correct man

  • ur the new Shinomori Aoshi

  • haha not really

  • any quicker and u will be

  • lol im getting a katana soon

wat ill do tho is fill the bottle's of water with red food dye

    lol BLOOD

  • lol im doing that for halloween

  • awsome mi b'day is on hallowween lol

  • cheers then! mines just a lil after

  • cheers =] and awsome u doing anything special for ur b'day ?

  • uhh running away from home? lol probably gonna go out of state and visit people i know on youtube... maybe take a vacation

  • Lol visit people you know on youtube?

sounds pretty risky..but go for it!

Also, you did pretty good in the dual sword part.

  • risky yes except for the part where most of them are people i know within 20 miles ^_^

  • Lol still, it could be anybody.

  • dude, I love your uniform!!!!

  • where did u get the carbon steel? or did u make it? if u bought it, how much did it cost?

  • Such a sharp blade but the thing that sucks in today's world is that you really can't use swords anymore to actually...um kill or self defense... :(

  • How/where did you forge the steel?

  • Did you MAKE them or assemble them?

  • ok listen up cause i know its hard... I made these from carbon steel with a carbon rating or content of 1018 and used some cotton cord not meant for swords with a tsuka made out of white oak and a tsuba made of steel and the fittings i didn't know how to make at the time so the appear to be fittings are actually wood carved into the tsuka. This was my first sword so i didn't know how to make a habaki so there is not one present.

  • lol

  • I doubt you made that sword, but I definitely do not doubt your technique. That is good cutting.

  • You didn't make those swords. I'm sorry, but unless you post proof (Which you have so far evaded doing), it's bull.

  • wow one to talk right? if you chose to not believe me then thats your downfall my friend. I can tell your not a martial artist because you underestimate what i have done.

  • On the contrary, I can yell *you're* not a martial artist due to your arrogance.

    Where's that proof?

  • Can't the same be said about yourself?

I still have pictures from when he emailed me, in Japanese, you can see HIS name.

  • That's great, post them and I'll gladly shut up.

  • Alright, I'll mail 'em to ya. Your Email?

  • umm he did dude.

  • Where?

  • wat do u mean where did he make the kodachis? idk at his house?

  • @maganashi making a sword is relatively easy if you have access to the right tools, and hes already explained how he made them.

  • I imagined kodachis to be longer, but they are super impressive swords. :)

And you have some super impressive techniques. :) What material do you use for the blade? (I'm so interested, I can't believe it xD)

  • to make the blade?*

    xD

  • basic 1018 carbon for those blades and my technique is very very basic

  • what a waste of water... but good cutting, just a bit straigth so it can be almost perfect cut, those old execution cut, cut the parts the sky... that in english i forgot in japanese... anyways

  • fuck tap water, this is just to fun

  • yea in real situation i would slice back. but i'm not a swords person. more into butterknifes n steak knifes.

  • lol either way cool

  • water containers don't slice back.

  • lol would you?

  • Very impressive Nito, and kudos for making your own blades

  • watering the lawn are we?

  • why yes, yes i am

  • your very good with swords. when you cut through the bottles with water will the water rust the blade?

  • Nice; I'm with you on not having experience with Nito-ryu, though. I spar with my buddy every once in a while (using bokken; I don't wanna ruin my katana) and I had a hard time with it. But I've found if you file a normal bokken down to about Kodachi size, it offers a little more control and reach than a shoto. As for why I filed a bokken down to that size... Well, let's just say I learned the hard way during our first sparring session the proper way to parry an overhead strike if necessary.

  • what is your job dude?

    fucking cool man!

  • im a fucking pizza boy >_> making just enough dough to make a pizza XD

  • where do you buy the swords? and I think you should make a video where you kill something with the sword

  • where do i buy them???? jee i dont fucking know!? maybe cause i MADE THEM!!! oh wait i know what you mean! i made them and then sold them to myself! thats where i bought them!

  • Why the fuck would he kill some thing with a katana? you obviously would not be able to get close enough to any animal to kill it.

  • Made by you? Wow. Kudos! Have you considered trying them out on ballistics gel or dead pigs? Or meat, in general?

  • I would REALLY like too! haha and i dont mean people on my "to kill list" XD

  • you should've used red dye in the water...

  • lol i did on halloween

  • dude very impresive, please could you post how to made my own kodachi.

  • One important thing you need to practise is immediately bringing each arm back into a defensive position after each strike instead of just leaving them away from yor body in a pose.

  • rumour has it that someone made a 33' carbon fiber katana (yeah i know, wtf?). personally i don't believe it, but it sure would be interesting if it were true

  • ' as in feet!? a 33 foot sword??? hmm maybe sephiroth made it XD

  • dude the swords you made are bad ass

  • wow howd ya make those nasty blades?

  • bottled water is a great method of testing sword duribility but its a waste of water XD

Meh good vid keep it up

  • A tip with your dual wielding.

Strike with your bad hand(left) first then cover the mistake with you good hand(right)

If you do it fluently, you can recover quicker and not allow your enemy to catch you off gaurd when swinging your left.

  • >_> i was dude... i dont know if you can tell my right from my left

  • Very impressive.. and quite cool! I haven't seen any other videos showing Nito Styles and not many others showing shoto techniques. Thanks for posting this one!

Du you perform a specific nito ryu or du you know any using two shotos? Unfortunately I haven't found any useful information on the internet about styles, schools etc. so far. (except a lot of information about Niten Ichi Ryu...)

  • well im a noob practitioner of iten seeing as how i have little training but it is from what i know the most effective in two shotos as well as having the most techniques out of all the existing styles today. Musashi was very profound on using two shoto saying it is best to use two instead of one...

  • As far as I know Musashi never used two swords at the same time in important duels, like against Yoshioka Seijuro or Shishido Baiken. He just said that it would make sense to use both swords, daito and shoto (not two shoto!), at the same time if it becomes necessairy ("This is the truth: when you sacrifice your life, you must make fullest use of your weaponry. It is false not to do so, and to die with a weapon yet undrawn."), but usually he just made use of the daito (katana/tachi).

  • all is true but his one encounter led him to use his wakizashi and his opponents waki. which he stole from him during the dual... that was the only time Musashi ever used two shoto at once

  • Interesting.. I never heared of that. Do you know which encounter that was or where I can read more about it?

But thanks very much for the info.

  • The reason he would use the daito and shoto is because samurai carried both a daito and a shoto. If he had two shoto, he would have used them. If anyone carries two shoto, they can use them. And Musashi said that using two swords should be done when faced with multiple opponents. For a one on one, one sword should be used so you do not have so much to think about. Most of his famous duels were against one opponent.

  • you have impressive accuracy.

  • very cool!!!

  • Your left hand isn't far off man... you showing potential.. Wont take that much it seems for you to become ambidexterous with those kodachis

  • crazyy i wanna own a kodachi, my family only has just 1 full length samurai sword, and i cant touch it xD

  • that was really cool! Nice.

  • That's a pretty long kodachi, I'd rather a smaller one, but each to his own.

  • that was freaking awesome.

  • that was entertaining my friend :) 5 star
