This is my main guitar, I have had her since I was 15, she has a seymour duncan Humbucker in the treble position, and I love it. I prefer it to the top of the range Gibsons. It gives me "MY" sound. it really is a great guitar.

This kid is serious about guitar. Look at what's leaning against the wall. My one tip is not to move around too much between styles or types of guitar at this stage, that's the mistake I made - a bit of classical, lots of folk, fingerstyle and plectrum, electric and acoustic etc. etc..  It was all a bit of a mess. I let my basic enthusiasm take over and I lost focus. But great that you're so keen. All the best. (Oh yes - and his age, barres just weren't in my repertoire. Great effort).

At this age I'm almost done learning eruption by Eddie Van Halen and I'm writing my own songs for my band. I'm not bashing the kid, I'm just stating your standard doesn't apply to everybody. We all learn at different rates. But he seems like a beginner and beginners don't need 5 guitars, I'm almost advanced and I only have 3.
