Used the IBM 735 typewriter [primary output-device] with the famous 'golf-ball' 1972-73; octal machine-code programmer. Today's office-software utilising mercury delay-lines, magnetic-stripe cardboard...
Great show with the very hip English early 70s look. I think this was one of the first show that got me interested in getting into the computer industry. Those computers they were using as props weren't much different than some of the ones I was operating and programming in the 1980s
I loved this show. The Andersons made some of the greatest trash tv ever. So cool that the purple hair of the girls on Moonbase was never explained (or even noticed)
@pindaric But the producer did try to explain it. They're supposedly anti-static wigs so that their natural hair won't interfere with the computer equipment they all operate. One imagines they're standard-issue stuff, all the same wild color so as not to be confused with a "regular" (fashion) wig, or engender any competition between the girls for the best ones/best looks.
Fresh released Unidentified flying object Files really are on ufosecretXnet (replace X with . ) . Its just definitely worth it all, believe me dude. These definately are really ridiculous! Introduced Feb 12, 2010!
It's been nearly 30 YEARS since I've seen a full episode of this show---and yet the Opening Credit Sequence--(and the Lead Character's Hair!) are the things I remember about this show the Most!
