Yea what the fuck man, parents you grew up in the fucking 70s and 80s. The golden ages, why the fuck do you let your children listen to all this new crap?! No one in my fucking town knows good music, no one.
@JBinOtown why the fuck would they interview Courtney love? she had nothing to do with nirvanas music besides ending nirvana and ultimately being the cause of Kurts "suicide" no one cares about that stupid cunt not even her own daughter she is a piece of shit, she blew like 50 million of Frances cobin's inheritances on drugs and her undeserved life style she should be in prison not traveling the world blowing Kurts money, maybe thats why they didn't interview Courtney love
what the fuck are they talking about, give the music industry a kick in the balls?! WTF the album sold more than 25 million copies, imagine for example the album costing 10 dollars, so they made about 250 million dollars from record sales alone, HOW IS THAT A KICK IN THE BALLS? LOL
@4468266452247 Because it was pretty much a whole new genre of music. The music business execs want to fund and produce what they think will be commercially successful, whether it's original or not. When Nirvana came along, their sound was very unique, so producing such an album was considered risky. Then Nirvana's success exploded off the charts, something no one was expecting....

@Optio10 - EXACTLY! Right on. - I'll repeat what I just wrote a minute ago: I'm 42 years old and knew Nirvana before they were "Nirvana." I feel lucky that I was young then and not now because today's music has taken many steps backwards. Where is today's Nirvana? Or Pixies? Or Alice in Chains? Or Radiohead? - The music of today is horrible. It's industry CRAP. Watching a half-naked "artists" like Rihanna, or Katy Perry, or Lady Gaga do the "dry hump" dance to crappy songs just saddens me.
5:47 :L:L:L Kurdt Cobain is a fucking genious, smells like teen spirit is rediculously overplayed, but is yet still a brilliant song, and i have absolutely no idea how the fuck music went from bands like nirvana, melvins, pixies, portishead, kyuss, sonic youth, NIN etc, to shit like justin bieber and the jonas brothers. thank fuck for the bands/artists that aren't in the shit infested charts around these days, the good music, cause otherwise we'd be completely fucking screwed.
@hesalumberjacknhesok Don't blame the artists. Blame the business. They decide who gets signed, who gets the marketing and therefore who becomes popular. After Nirvana broke out all the business saw was $. And they went and tried to sign what they thought was "the next Nirvana" But what they did was untap a gazillion awesome original bands. It was a total fluke. That's what happened back then.
@Optio10 yeah you're right. it's all about money nowadays, and that's all it was ever about. it's all controlled by greedy suits, unfortunately. oh well, at least we still have some great bands to listen to. :D

@IntstantRameninacup What the fuck is slipknot rebelling against that every other metal band before them hasn't done? Ever heard or seen Mr. bungle in the early 90's? That's what slipknot wishes they could be.
@Optio10 They associate music with fucking music, music today has no meaning behind it, no rebllion, the parents are fucking jamming out to lady gaga with there kids... anyone want there generation remembered that way?
It's amazing when you can get a band like this, and despite all the fame they never sell out. It really was able to expose underground to millions of people without actually losing the sound.
You know what's really cool? @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@'s all over the fuckin' place! Isn't that what Nirvana's all about anyways? Just talkin shit and being haters? FYL
Our generation needed Nirvana so much and then they arrived (better late than never!) but like so many other unfair things that weren't there for us, this one got taken away but I'm so greatful for that glimmer of light, it's who we really are...thanks Nirvana !
I will never EVER get bored of Nirvana - thank God for them, their music has helped me through so many difficult times and no doubt, will continue to do so. Kurt went way too soon and all fans of him will always miss him but we should be thankful that he and Nirvana left behind music which will always mean so much to so many people. In my mind, they can't be topped. x
@dalailama123 I feel you, man. I thought Krist was actually going to start crying. I miss the hell out of this band (as do so many of us). I'm 24 years old now and this music helped me get through some of those incredibly awkward and difficult moments of adolescence. I always admired Kurt's outlook on the world (anti-homophobia, pro-feminism, pro-choice, anti-violence). I don't admire suicide and that's not what I'm talking about. I don't want to talk about that at all.
every song on that album was hard kurt was one talented fucker if he didnt and if he wanted to he could have made another album good as nevermind he was a genius at music
@Arthur5041975 Why would you say something like that? Is it because you don't like Kurt's music? That's fine. Don't listen to it. But to be thankful that the man is no longer alive is inhuman and completely cold-hearted. If you sincerely feel that way, then you must be in a very dark and negative place mentally. I feel incredibly sorry for you and I hope that you get some help to work out your issues. However something tells me that you're just trolling for attention and probably won't read this
@Arthur5041975 Get some help, asshole. Your negativity is poisonous and it bothers me to think that you're spreading this shit into other people's lives. Go ahead and make jokes about fucking my mother if that somehow makes you feel vindicated. That kind of thing doesn't offend me as much as you want it to. What offends me is that you would write the kind of trash that you just did on a video that Nirvana fans are coming to to celebrate the band. Fuck you.
I think Ronnie James Dio lied when he sang in one of his "Elf" albums the song "Good Times Music Coming Back". Well... Maybe it did come then, but not now.
I wish the good times music came back again forever!!!
y they say tht kurt tried to find a group of tormented ppl to listen wht his saying. he himself said tht ppl should stop analyzing his lyrics cuz they didnt mean nything. its all about the music
Kurt was the polar opposite of hip-hop. Wasn't looking to sell the most records, develop a clothing line or sing about being in da club or bragging on himself. Refreshing.
@fletchdies. I'm sorry, but what rock have you been under. Nirvana was the biggest band of the '90's. You think Oasis was bigger than Nirvana? You, my friend, are insane.
I love how the Gallaghers knocked Nirvanas dick in the dirt but they knock everything that rivals them, or did. Nirvana could have easily been the biggest band of the 90's and Noel was afraid of that. Nirvana versus Oasis for the band of the 90s...The Verve,STP,Soundgarden, Pumpkins, etc deserve mention but those were the top 2 bands of the decade.
@lollerz16 i do love nirvana and i recomend everyone gets with the lights out but anyway i love them but there not the best band of all time . its like the beatles or zeppelin. and everyone should listen to them crooked vultures coz they on
if nirvana came out today, the same things would not have happened. music today is still decent, but a lot of kids have passed up on rock and moved on to listening to shit music.
if nirvana came out 2day, brand new...the same thing would happen....if u think the younger generation is listening to shit music, this would be a breath of fresh air, n real artistry....i still listen to nirvana today like it was 15 years ago, its still just as powerfull n always will be..n another thing, if they came out 2day, their live show would still be like no other n every1 would wanna see just like before...its literally timeless, its 4ever eteched in history n applies to any n every1
no, i know what u mean...the angst, just the pain a lot of people were feeling at that time, the young generation mostly i think...it was all there at that time n kurt grabbed it n related to it...just expressed himself in his art...i understand u tho, i just saw ur comment n typed somethin back to it, but ur probably right, it would still blow up at any time, but just everything that was in the world at that time
let me remind you, this era is shit. full of wannabe emo + scene kids which gives a bad name to music and those genuinely feeling down and depressed.
nirvana made their era so fucking good we all wish we were living back then instead of now.
i wonder what it would be like if nirvana were still around now, making music. nirvana knocking lady gaga off the charts? who fucking cares. i miss it and i was only an infant back then shitting and pissing my diaper.
@aidenmccloskey "'i wonder what it would be like if nirvana were still around now, making music. nirvana knocking lady gaga off the charts? who fucking cares."
If a generation gets fed up with something they need a revolution, rebellion.. Bands like Nirvana are the voice of that rebellion, they personify it. They say what others are thinking. Its like a tsunami wave that is so powerful that it wipes out everything. Eventually the wave will go away but someday it will be back in the form of another band like Nirvana. No one can predict or stop it..
You're right. But I think Nirvana was suited more to the specific generation it was exposed to in the 90s. Today, the band that wants to do what Nirvana did will have to be in a sort of genre of its own (like grunge, in Nirvana's case). Plus, they have to appeal to the masses and break through the sub-genres of rock to make everybody come together and listen. Haha we need a band to knock the Black Eyed Peas into their fucking place.
We all love Kurt

IntstantRameninacup 8 months ago
@IntstantRameninacup I didn't say there's no rebellion in music today, maybe someone else did. You have to look for it. It's there.
4578a 8 months ago
@4578a Oh, sorry. Didn't bother comparing names. Yeah, another guy was saying that about the music industry.

@Optio10 They associate music with fucking music, music today has no meaning behind it, no rebllion, the parents are fucking jamming out to lady gaga with there kids... anyone want there generation remembered that way?
DAEDREKWARRIOR 8 months ago

Arthur5041975 1 year ago
@Arthur5041975 Why would you say something like that? Is it because you don't like Kurt's music? That's fine. Don't listen to it. But to be thankful that the man is no longer alive is inhuman and completely cold-hearted. If you sincerely feel that way, then you must be in a very dark and negative place mentally. I feel incredibly sorry for you and I hope that you get some help to work out your issues. However something tells me that you're just trolling for attention and probably won't read this
lifeislikewater 1 year ago
@Arthur5041975 Get some help, asshole. Your negativity is poisonous and it bothers me to think that you're spreading this shit into other people's lives. Go ahead and make jokes about fucking my mother if that somehow makes you feel vindicated. That kind of thing doesn't offend me as much as you want it to. What offends me is that you would write the kind of trash that you just did on a video that Nirvana fans are coming to to celebrate the band. Fuck you.

ApacheBoneknife 1 year ago 2
I love how the Gallaghers knocked Nirvanas dick in the dirt but they knock everything that rivals them, or did. Nirvana could have easily been the biggest band of the 90's and Noel was afraid of that. Nirvana versus Oasis for the band of the 90s...The Verve,STP,Soundgarden, Pumpkins, etc deserve mention but those were the top 2 bands of the decade.

if nirvana came out today, the same things would not have happened. music today is still decent, but a lot of kids have passed up on rock and moved on to listening to shit music.
PsychoNinjaFreak 1 year ago 5
if nirvana came out 2day, brand new...the same thing would happen....if u think the younger generation is listening to shit music, this would be a breath of fresh air, n real artistry....i still listen to nirvana today like it was 15 years ago, its still just as powerfull n always will be..n another thing, if they came out 2day, their live show would still be like no other n every1 would wanna see just like before...its literally timeless, its 4ever eteched in history n applies to any n every1

i'm not denying that people would love nirvana and make them popular but in today's era, i honestly don't know if they'd have had the same success
PsychoNinjaFreak 1 year ago
no, i know what u mean...the angst, just the pain a lot of people were feeling at that time, the young generation mostly i think...it was all there at that time n kurt grabbed it n related to it...just expressed himself in his art...i understand u tho, i just saw ur comment n typed somethin back to it, but ur probably right, it would still blow up at any time, but just everything that was in the world at that time
umhi21 1 year ago
that goes without saying... but without these guys, this "era" wouldnt be the same
kurt23407 1 year ago
@kurt23407
let me remind you, this era is shit. full of wannabe emo + scene kids which gives a bad name to music and those genuinely feeling down and depressed.
nirvana made their era so fucking good we all wish we were living back then instead of now.
i wonder what it would be like if nirvana were still around now, making music. nirvana knocking lady gaga off the charts? who fucking cares. i miss it and i was only an infant back then shitting and pissing my diaper.

No one can predict or stop it..
seezarorest 1 year ago 4
You're right. But I think Nirvana was suited more to the specific generation it was exposed to in the 90s. Today, the band that wants to do what Nirvana did will have to be in a sort of genre of its own (like grunge, in Nirvana's case). Plus, they have to appeal to the masses and break through the sub-genres of rock to make everybody come together and listen. Haha we need a band to knock the Black Eyed Peas into their fucking place.
