  • @hamtalker2007 Nope Its the K4UKH 147.125 repeater on UK hospital

  • @hamtalker2007 We dont use the 76 machine for skywarn anymore not since it had major problems a few years ago.

  • Cool, Yeah i use GR products for radar since it ws a long night i didnt get screen shots of it so i had to get other radar pics from people that i knew would have some of that time frame..

  • well it is squeezed down into the small window

  • that tornado hit mastester station....i live like 3 blocks away from there....it wuz a scary night cuz u couldnt even see nothing so u didnt know if the tornado wuz gonna hit u!.....one of the houses that wuz damage looked like a barbie house from the back...

  • I have to say..2008 has been pretty disappointing as far as spotting. What gives!?!?!?! I swear in Fayette Co., I didn't see anything close--other than a few mammatus clouds.

  • what frequency is the radio on

  • Fayette County ARES/Skywarn operations is on 147.120.

  • God i remember this so fukin scary!

  • I was at my house and a transformer blew up it very loud

  • One of the nastier radar pictures I've seen. You can definitely see high winds and sheer markers in there. Looks like the radar picture we got here just before our July 04 tornado that missed us but we still got 100mph straight line winds.

  • omg i go to tates creek middle i kno ppl who go to southtern middle scary!!!!!

  • tornadoes confirmed in the county sw of us and north east of us. From what i observed i would assume we had one but it was dark and of course couldn't see a whole lot was damage in Lexington but NWS said it was just straight line winds

  • Did anything really touch down?

  • nice

  • i live in danville. nuthin happened.

  • We used to live in Lexington in 2005-2006. I can't help but wonder how Lighthouse Square Apartments fared, since we used to live there.

  • LOL yes... That it is. Great radio :)

I was just thinkin of emailing you man its been a while... Ill shoot ya one here soon time for work ..

  • nice video of what skywarn spotters do

  • Oh.

  • Wheres the actual warning?

  • I didnt have the Noaa on. since i had the phone on and working the radio too, plus trying to keep an eye on the storm... it gets to be a bit too much going on I do have the text listed in the about this vid thing tho.

  • I live in Winchester and we had a tornado warning a few minutes after this. It was a very weak f1( I think it was even downgraded to an F0)it was on the ground for less than a mile and damaged a few barns out in the country side. Still terrifying to hear a tornado warning for the county you live in. I thank god those storms weakened before they got to central ky.

  • it was intense, and im suprised the NWS didnt class the lexington damage as tornadic.. from what i witnesed first hand id say we did.. and once the NCDC releases the radar archives ill be redoing the clip here with radar imagry

  • Clark County was under a warning to in like 30 some years, I was asleep and I wish I would have been to see it on LEX 18

  • Clark county had a confirmed tornado

  • I know, my house though was not near it

  • Going over the 5 min of video i did shoot before changing to audio i found in one lightning flash you can see a funnel prolly about 2 miles wsw of where i was
