5 weeks of teacher training? Compare that to the three years most of us who have secondary education degrees have. I don't think TFA teachers are any more effective, and they don't have any training in the CRAFT and ART of teaching.
What makes TFA teachers truly believe that they are the only instruments of change? So a person without a teaching degree can save the world? I highly doubt it has done much where I live besides 1) replace teachers that have worked with our community children for years; and 2) inflate the egos of Ivy School and lower-rung Ivy School grads... and trick them into believing they are saving the lives of children in poverty!? Give me a break.
