the only one that should have died from being shot in this video was the one ass hole we can blame for part of the problems we face in the world today FUCK Ronald Reagan and to anyone that thinks im being a jerk for saying that they should look up the stuff about NWA
nice opinion. two tone could sound a little similar so i cling to the specials, gangsters, the beat, mirror in the bathroom and this. and if you like this check out tricky's back to mine compilation. cheers. oh and to the person who compiled this series of images, it entirely misses the point of the song which is about unrequited love and suicide, not random murders and the burgeoning gun culture of america. the band were english, after all.
Whilst this song indeed is about unrequited love & suicide,
the video is meant to highlight the destruction guns do to
everyday life. It doesn't matter whether it is American, British or African, gun culture should wiped out and if this
video helps change a view minds, then it will be worthwhile. That is the point of the video and Celebrate the Bullet is the perfect soundtrack for this purpose. There is some UK footage there, which you may have missed.
Thx for post. Never a member of selecter but i consider your interpretation of lyrics right. Probably never a comment to american gun-policy. However chorus used as political manifistation would not bother authors?
We should celebrate the bullet, because it has brought us our comfortable lifestyles. If you don't agree, then you have some waking up to do.

Love this song. Don't care what it's supposed to be about. That guitar riff, drum fill and then bass...

Always was and will be my favourite Selecter song, for various reasons, just enjoying and chilling and not in the mood for the political stuff

Growing in Jamaica, Pauline Black was to be my future wife but, alas was not meant to be. Will always love her.
