Who wouldn't want Domnique for a sister? She'd always have your back, and anytime some woman tries to destroy your life, she'd whup her ass for you...
@w1521 The writers liked to flirt with good ideas, then abandon them. While giving their bad ideas so much attention that it would damn near ruin a full season. It's called ego block.
I agree michael65! That lunch scene is absolutely SUPERB, especially the wide-angle closing shot at the end. It's like a mini play in itself. Two ruthless, high-class predators sizing up their opponent & cloaking their mutual dislike in tactical civility & benign aggression.
One of their best scenes together, classic Alexis & a nice touch of subtlety for Dominique. Adds an interesting dimension to their relationship too, can you imagine Krystle or Sable EVER having lunch with Alexis!
excellent scene between brady and blake, very well written, directed and acted...two calm, cool collected, tycoons matching wits. excellent, just excellent!!
funny how the show over looked Dominique being black and her skin color was never metioned or reference to how blake felt about having a half sister that was black..unrealistic that he woould not cross someone's mind....also very true that had she been white her character would have taken a different turn..well maybe now that there is a black man as the head of the country somethings will change.
That look she gave Alexis....priceless.

Love that final scene with Brady. Made me look forward to seeing him become a worthy opponent for Blake.
How come that never happened? Next thing we knew, Brady was written out off-screen! I felt cheated!

Blake has the guts to ask Dominique to just accept that he doesn't accept her as his half-sister? :-o

They could've made an entire episode out of that charming little lunch date. Classic stuff.

I love Dominique's theme music at 2:20-- very mysterious and sultry...

It's actually a similar theme to part of the score for Agatha Christie's Death On The Nile that starred Peter Ustinov.

hmmmm. I always imagined smooth jazz playing during Dominque's credits.
But I guess this Bad Mama-Jama funk is alright. After all, she ain't no jive turky.
I can dig it.

Now, DNA testing may not have been popular back then, but blood tests also prove genetic relations.
