I got engaged in january and came across your video of you playing the greatest piano version of Somebody. I told my wife-to-be that this is the song i want to do our first dance to. We have always been big DM fans and this song is a real tear jerker. She was crying when i played it for her.

LOL I always thought of this as something of an "anti love song" since the end lyrics make fun of love songs: "I want somebody / Who will put their arms around me / And kiss me tenderly / Though things like this / Make me sick / In a case like this

Ill get away with it" ... anyway, take away the lyrics and just have this beautiful melody and you make the anti-love song into just a pure love song. Very nice

you miss the point completely---- those things like this make me sick, in a case like this, i'll get away with it. the thought of being in love so helplessly and so romantically is somewhat grotesque to this individual, but when meething the right person he is taken a back. for many of us that feel the same way as he that love can be sickening, it may also be the most endearing emotion as well. if you have only found the correct individual

Mmm, I respectfully disagree, having listened to so many Depeche Mode songs, the lyrics are frequently self-referential, and in this case I interpret the "I'll get away with it" section of lyrics to be the singer stating that he's getting away with singing a gooey song. Not the voice of the person in love but rather the voice of the performer to the audience. Well, that's my just interp.
