;) The reasons why FWR power supplies exist, IMO, is that a) the company wants you to buy an add-on power supply or b) simpler, smaller, cheaper circuit board.
My middle school had these or at least ones similar. I don't know the model of the horns we had but they sounded like this one. The big difference was we had 2903 strobe plates not light plates. I love the sound of this one!!

@sirenandlights46 They are; I've been umpiring baseball since I was 15 and playing since I was 5.

The reason it sounds distorted is because it provides FWR to the nacs instead of DC.

@Antipwnsurmum yes indeed, it took me a while to figure that one out but I'm glad I finally did

that certainly would make sense, anything to save them money or make them more...

what did you whisper at about 0:04?

I had a friends help with the camera for this test; that was him telling me to go ahead and activate the pull station i believe.

was that set to audible silence or something
firealarmfreak529 3 years ago
yes it was
weathermaniac1 2 years ago
Do you have alarm verify disabled on that panel?
coffeeandsugar20 3 years ago
The 5024 doesn't have that feature.
weathermaniac1 3 years ago
Odd.
Xsk8r114's 5024 did.
coffeeandsugar20 3 years ago
I'm sorry you're absolutely right, i don't know what i was thinking. It does have that feature but I had it disabled while I had the panel.
weathermaniac1 3 years ago
how come it clicks
eli167349 3 years ago
The clicking is from the relays that power the NAC's. When i silence the horn, the one for the light continues to click until the panel resets.
weathermaniac1 3 years ago
the audible silence is an awesome feature, especially with incandescent lights. 5 stars yo'.

Thank you

was that running off of AC power or batteries
eddieeddieeddie13 3 years ago
I had a 24vdc power supply that i wired to the battery leads on the panel.
weathermaniac1 3 years ago
cool
eddieeddieeddie13 3 years ago
audible silence =D
FireLiteAlarms 4 years ago
Then horn gets distorted because the panel's onboard power supply seems to overpower it.
