  • Not even Luke Skywalker could stop them...

    NOT EVEN SUPERMAN...

    society is going to lose.

What did the woman say about places around the world?

  • 0:52 I AM YOUR FATHER, LUKE SKYWALKER!

  • Was this the last film Christopher Reeve did before the accident?

  • They look like a bunch of Polish kids.

  • whenever I see Newt Gingrich and his wife together I always think of them as the couple that escaped....except Newt and his wife were defected to begin with and therefore were kicked out of the group.

  • Mark Hamill wishes he had a Lightsaber now....

  • Wooooooo......scary white kids......

  • Did any of you guys figure out which were Lily and Dorothy? And it's also weird that one of them (the one with the bow tie) never gets to speak at all, just scream from those weird eye drops. I don't get the point of that part at all. I did enjoy the movie though.

  • they ruin good movies by RE-making it :'( STOP IT ! get your own ideas come up with new story lines nothing will ever beat halloween pumpkinhead friday the 13th nightmare on ELMstreet and hell raiser those where legendairy pin face almost made me shit my pants as a kid :) any way after manny years i see they lost there inspiration or 80% if it at least :/

  • i remember seeing this film on tv when i was around 10 years old.the image of the f ucking children trying to destroy the wall is still imprinted on my brain after a decade

  • Mara-the big bitch!!!

  • @MyMetallica16 You should check out John Carpenters ''In the Mouth of Madness''

It's rare gem, starring Sam Neil.

  • OMG I haven't seen this in years.. I miss the 90's

  • This movie was very entertaining but unfortunately forgotten.

  • I'd watch this just Superman and Luke Skywalker

  • 0:29 Midwich? What is this, Silent Hill!

  • @Zero771 Silent Hill is filled with lots of references to popular horror novels and authors. Take a look at the original Silent Hill video game. You'll see what I'm talking about. Midwich is a small town in the novel Village of the Damned. In Silent Hill, Midwich is the name of the elementary school in the town of Silent Hill.

  • @Quicksliver6 I think I know that, how else would I have known Midwich was in Silent Hill. Thanks for telling me what I know, derp.

  • @Zero771 Geez, I thought you had only seen the movie or maybe that you didn't notice the references. I didn't know that it was a joke. I just wanted to help. You don't need to be a jerk. That's no way to treat a lady. I'm impressed that you're a Silent Hill fan, but I don't care for your attitude. If we were talking in person, you wouldn't talk to me like that to my face, coward.

  • @Quicksliver6 You just owned him, y'all.

  • Those kids used to give me nightmares...as a kid.

  • Adoro esse filme desde pequeno

  • Superman vs Luke Skywalker.

  • this movie sucked. watch the original

  • i'm disappointed. the narrator didn't say "THIS YEAR" in an over the top grainy voice.

  • I don't remember Mark in this film.

  • the pictures of the landscape was great but the rest was shit. ugly little kids and stupid villagers...

  • Just cover the kids in whipped cream and kirstie alley can just eat her way to safety.

  • Superman and Luke Skywalker in the same film!!

  • This is one of the few remakes I feel are actually better than the original. Thomas Dekker's character and performance were great.

  • This movie is crap in billions, of ways it should never have been remade at all.

  • wow i didn't know saskue got busy rebuilding his clan already now all the kids have that Shaningan. ik ik its a bad joke lol

  • why the hell didn't you use the force, luke???

  • @h777 He did. It's in the form of a brick wall.

  • They Look like lady gaga's sibblings...LOL

  • @saintoctober28 no...cant be hers. these girls actually look like girls.

  • luke skywalker, superman and creepy whiteheaded kids its what was necessary to make me traumatized from this movie in my chieldhood!

  • Kirstie Alley was in her mid-forties when this movie came out, and her vagina wasn't near as wrinkly!

  • :53 LUKE

    and superman!!1!1OMG EPIC

  • Poor cast, poor script...bad remake of a classic.... I wish they would leave these classic films alone.

  • Christopher Reeve just can't walk away from a good mystery.

  • i use to watch this movie when i was very little..I was really scared of this movie.

we called them "dolls" i dont know why ahahahaha

  • hey look it's near from deathnote

  • who'd win? superman or skywalker in a battle to the death lol.

  • @TheEXpothead Luke Skywalker, but only if he could construct a special light saber that had kryptonite embedded in it.

  • @danning1 haha true :)

  • Jaws created a widespread fear of sharks... Village of The Damned created a widespread fear of albinos, lol

  • Horror novel see video book trailer

  • I personally think this remake is utter tosh, it was not worthwhile doing the original Village of the Damned was better than this crap. The sequel film to the original called Children of the Damned was ten billion or even eighty billion times better than this crappy remake, in billions of years I cannot really think why it was thought to be, necessary to remake this film. I seriously hope Children of the Damned never ever gets, a remake or if Children of the Damned is ever remade t is better.

  • this film is shit

  • @makedonia1903 I agree mate the sequel film, Children of the Damned was ten billion times better than this old crap have you ever seen Children of the Damned and what is your opinion on it as a film. I sincerely think Cildren of the Damned should never be remade in billions of years. This remake is a load of old crap and it was not worth the time and money, that was spent on it I say if it is not broken do not fix it. I would stress not to, remake Children of the Damned, in billions of years.

  • @rojblake82 See here is the thing, The generation that saw this movie ( being me ) and not the Children of the Damned or Village of the damned of the 1960's can't relate. When i see the trailer or even see the movie Village of the Damned in the darkest room possible with headphones on my head and focused into it, i can not feel the things you feel when you saw that movie looooooong time ago.. Just like when i saw Event Horizon again this year it was crap compared to how it scared me 97'

  • @rojblake82 So even if Those 1960's are good which i know they are, i can't see the horror that you feel because you saw them way back when they were scary to you same for me with Chucky, Freddy Krueger and lets not forget Leprechaun

  • lol wow this actually used to scare this crap out of me when i was young!!! so funny looking at it now!

  • Great cast in a great little horror film.

  • Good thing we have abortions! yay!

  • Remember watching this when i was a kid and my dads friend had a daughter who looked exeactly like the main girl in this film. Had the bleach blonde hair and everything. Used to be scared s**tless by her lol. Was my least favorite playmate.

  • i watched this when i was 7. im scarred for life

  • I want to watch this again! terrifying movie during my childhood years.. :D

  • It's not a very good movie but it has one of the strangest and most interesting cast mixes of any movie I've ever seen. That alone is worth a rental on dollar night at Blockbusters.

  • Superman & Luke Skywalker join forces against an army of little blond girls! ;)

  • Superman's eye laser vs the children 's

  • one of my fave movies

  • this movie not scary at all maybe 8 -12 age

  • THESE KIDS WERE SO CUTE yet creepy good thing 1 of them is good

  • This one still scares me lol

  • @strawberrychewbar hahaha clever yeah it would make a brill advert lol

  • A very underrated remake!

I loved this one when I was younger and still love it today!

  • to me this movie was underrated i liked it better than the b/w one these children were much more sinister in my opinion the only grudge i have against both movies and the book is the end they shouldnt of died it was just a waste of genius

  • Luke Skywalker AND Super Man united against the alien children. Quite a movie!

In the end, Skywalker's feeble skills was no match for the power of the dark s...Ehm, I mean the alien children. Luckily Super Man was able to get the job done.

  • A TRULY AWFUL REMAKE OF A CLASSIC MOVIE (1960), TAKEN FROM A CLASSIC NOVEL. ALTHOUGH THERE ARE SOME REMAKES ARE A VAST IMPROVEMENT ON THE ORIGINAL (D.O.A, FOR EXAMPLE), 9 IN 10 REMAKES ARE ATROCIOUS, E.G., 'ALFIE', 'BEDAZZLED', THE ITALIAN JOB. THIS MOVIE HAS A LOW-BUDGET, MADE-F0R-TV, FEEL TO IT, AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO UNDERRATE SUCH A FILM!

  • @GOINGINSAINSBURYS I saw this at the movies and was wondering why I even bothered.

  • Comment removed

  • the Chemtrails...???

  • Look around you...Today on the Streets.

This is not a Fantasy Movie this are the real X Files.

Dark Eyed, Dark Haired People... gets very often Blond Childs, in Our Time,or not !

  • a Pro abortion film

  • this trailer would make an excellent advert for contraception

  • These kids are Evil & Out of control. It is not Safe in Smallvile & Luke Skywalker A fomer Jedi turn Priest lost his Will of the Force, No longer merntored by Yoda & Obi Wan Kenobi, The Field is corrupted By Devilish Children Controlled by Lady Gaga.

Only one man can save them. This look like a job for SUPERMAN.

  • just finished watching it now....i love this movie

  • I've seen this film last year..it was so eerie!!!!!

But it's a very good film!

  • the original blows this piece of shit away, i just wasted $9.99 buying this crap off of PSN. It's as if Carpenter pocketed most of the budget and skimped on everything to cut corners and cut costs. Lame effects, he co-worte the shit soundtrack, the location/town is lame, the camera angles are lame, the editing is lame. This piece of crap makes me realize that if not for the decent special creature effects in The Thing, he'd have no career, so he needs to thank the special effects guy from THING

  • @flarbton I agree with all you say, but the 1978 Hallowe'en movie is a cult classic which has spawned multi-million dollar horror machine (although nothing comes close to the original)...John Carpenter is a sort of sub-industry, but he seems to have survived somehow...his production of The Thing was just awful, the 1951 version was far superior and quite frightening, too...

  • @Bez1960 The original The thing is a classic. The Carpenter is another classic, dare I say superior, not only for the creature aspect of it.

  • @Losemyillusions Well, I know it seems to get a lot of brownie points when it's rated, but somehow the original was much more frightening (well, to me at least) although neither film seems to follow the book very closely ("Who Goes There?" by somebody-or-other)...still, in the end it is down to personal choice. I never believe I'm 'right', I just believe I'm right in as far as I go...other peoples' opinions are just as valid as mine.

  • @flarbton You don't know shit about movies: Halloween, The fog, Assault on Precinct 13 and Escape from New York were all directed BEFORE The thing. And if The thing is now considered another cult classic, it was a box-office bomb when it was released, so I highly doubt John Carpenter owns his carreer to The thing. When you don't know shit about a subject, the best is to just shut the fuck up.

  • @flarbton What about Halloween, Escape from New York,The Fog,They Live??

Ok JC had some flops mostly in the 90's ,granted, but his hits are masterpieces!

If you deny that than you are not objective.

  • Superman versus the extraterrestrial Nazi's.

  • Superman, Luke Skywalker and Kristie Alley, the 3 strongest forces in history.

  • Ah, Kristie Alley when she was thin.

  • @anonymoussingerben She reminds me of Marla from the Gremlins movie

  • So gut ist der Film gar nicht...

  • Yes, it's Mark Hamill. He played Luke Skywalker

  • 00:54 is that Luke Skywalker? lol

  • so, leslie nielsen had a lot of work in this town huh ?

  • He boned em all.

    LOL

  • Lindsay Haun was a beautiful girl in this film. She plays Mara

  • Luke Skywalker (who decided to give up his Jedi knight career and become a priest in the town) should have used the Force to block out their psychic attacks and then cut them all down with his light saber.

  • lindsay haun and thomas dekker we soo tiny in this movie

  • First of all John Carpenter never disappoints me (he made Halloween, The Thing, Christine, Prince of Darkness, Memoirs of an Invisible Man, In the Mouth of Madness, Ghosts of Mars...) So, I knew this movie will be great in advance.

Village of the Damned proves that horror movie can be scary/intriguing without that bloody and brutal scenes - real horror masterpiece!!!

Christopher Reeve and Kirstie Alley were perfect!

  • my favorite horror movie of all time saw it when i was 12 loved it, loved it, loved it

  • idk about all that it was a hell of a lot better than most of the other remakes i've seen lately.

  • This remake is atrocious, check out the british original ,much better.

  • please i get so tired of hearing crap like this. yes it's a remake and 99% of the time the original is better but this remake was anything but "atrocious" get off your high horse. for future reference you can recommend an original or the original being better without being an arrogant clown.

  • Save us, Superman!

  • ahahahahahh dude wtf

  • I think Luke Skywalker would have had a better chance of success.

  • Why does some many people hate this movie? It looks great, like all of Carpenter movies that I've seen so far.

  • use the force luke....

  • wow, this has not dated well...

  • my mom's pussy hasn't dated well either

  • good reamke, probably better than the old one, well at least to me.

  • good one from JC,Christoper reeve was great in it too,it's a honest shame what happen later on to him.

  • The Force is strong in these children but not so strong in Mark Hamill. And the lead girl is creepier than Esther from Orphan IMHO.

  • "You can't stop us, you know. Don't try" I think no other child could perform the leader so well as Lindsey Haun did! I love this movie!

    *-*

  • children of the damn corn village

  • village of the damn people

  • Carpenter's best film by far.

  • The original is horrible.

  • The fuck are you talking about? The original is a classic. It surpasses this version.

  • Skywalker gets owned by a little girl using Jedi mind tricks on him. Is that what Alannis Morrisette meant in that song "Ironic"? C'mon Luke, use the Force dude!!

  • @PadstackPaul Too bad his daughter's force is stronger than his. She's got killer powers and he can only summon a stupid brick wall XD

  • SPOILER ALERT: Kristy Alley cooks and eats them all at the end. Problem solved.

  • ...Are you sure she even stopped to cook them?! Maybe Kirstie invited Sally Struthers over for, pardon the pun, dinner...

  • it's on tonight at 11:45 on itv1 if anybodys bothered

  • this movie is underrated!!!

  • @JRodFilms it is not

  • Superman and Luke Skywalker fight extraterrestrials posing as children.

  • don't remember how this movie end.

i'll have to watch it again.

    carpenter is the master

  • Haven't seen this movie in forever. I think this was the last movie Christopher Reeve was in before his accident.

  • lol

  • holy shit was that fuckin mark hammil? i must see this shid

  • Christopher Reeve(probably wrong spelling)

  • mark hamill is in it too...i looked it up...

  • oh yeah, the priest. had to watch it again.

  • I think poltergyiest

  • Thats impossible. The Little girl in poltergeist died 10 years before this was made

  • No, it's not Heather O'Rourke, she died in 1988 at the age of 12, so I know it's not her.

  • what does that little girl play on at 0:35...its driving me crazy!!

  • Lindsay Haun. She was in Color of Friendship and Broken Bridges.

  • Lindsay Haun, I didn't even relize she was in this movie, it has been forever since I've seen it, this was before she became famous.

  • the original one was better

the problem with new films is that they put to much whoo wha oh no oh my god whats happening whie wha... i strongly reccomend you to watch the black 'n white version. much better

  • Yes, and the 1963 sequel has amazing cinematography!

  • This movie was excellent. The critics got

it wrong! excellent movie with Reeve's

best performance ever - yeah I said it - he

was amazing in this movie. Props for Chris!

  • they remade this i wonder if theyll remake the second one

  • isnt Mark Hamill in this film?

  • w00t go luke get em wit your lightsaber

  • that girl near the end was hott :P lol

  • Was this before or after Kirstie Alley was fat?

  • she was just gettin there

  • My favorite John Wyndham novel is Day of the triffids. Thats a good book.

  • is the story line of this film ment to be based on a true event or legend?

  • Are you serious? :S

  • Yeah, it's based on a true story. It actually happened twice.

  • what happened???

  • how can it be true?

  • heh

    8/10

  • That kid is adorable in a creepy sort of way.

  • hey can anyone put all the parts of this movie?....its been 7 years since ive last watched it and i want to watch it again coz i rely like this movie...plss...

  • lol mark hamill alias luke skywalker and superman aliias christopher reeve are in this movie

  • FOOLISH CHILDREN!

You're fighting Superman, here. Of course you'll lose.

  • O_O creepy kids!

  • im getting really tired of people putting down 'americans' ya im an american, i didnt ask to be one, but i am, so judgemental, were not all as obnoxious as you think, i welcome ALL into this country, i hate that were so separated, humans i mean, peace to all

  • I agree, not all americans are rude.

I didnt ask to be an american too and yet Im always classified as a stuck up person when talking to other people from other parts of the world.

I didnt have a easy life and I hope some people from other parts of the world will understand that I believe everyone of the human race in my eyes is equal unless provoked by evil.

  • A lot are because we live in a society focused on ourselves.

  • fricken creepy lil kids. especially the "dead" one.

  • Yeah but the americans have gave us some really great shows and movies.

    Thats hours of entertainment

  • why do the americans always remake british classics and steal our shows, its just annoying

  • because us americans are too lazy to make our own classics and we have a shitty president and we just love to make scapegoats and blame anyone who we dont like for something they had nothing to do with (i may be an american but i am not afraid to talk shit about it, id wipe my ass with the flag if i could, but i do hear where you are coming from. original looked cool, remake looked shitty)

  • People do remakes not just americans. And not only british films are remade. Village of the damned needed a remake because such a great story had to be told to the modern audiences. Most people don't know about the original one. Films don't need a spesific country to be shown in, they should be universal.

And even if the remake is bad, at least it gets people interested in seeing the original...so nobody loses.
