I loved the intro since the Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory had this one. Pokemon had the late 90's version. See georgesk117's video if you want to know what I mean.
@hehehehe3124 I was saying that will be nice if they where still using that logo this very day would be nice instead of seeing the new Warner home video logo.
@decadesmusic I think it's because the music is the exact same one used in the first warner bros. movie intro. You know when the logo looked something like this:
I have this on my Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Ace Ventura, and Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls VHS tapes. I've also seen this on Major League 2.
Seeing this Opening on VHS is the best, I have a bootleg VHS copy of The Matrix that starts with this Opening and goes right to the Movie, no previews or anything.
This Opening is vaguely Satanic, I'm guessing it was made on an old Amiga in like two hours by a guy named Bob somewhere in a WB backlot
This logo is from the movies i've got as follow:Lethal Weapon, The Fugitive, Goodfellas, but is from the WHV logo in 97,and Batman Forever, great 80's logo,5 stars for this logo.
I have this on Batman: Mask of The Phantasm, as well as Thumbelina. My other tapes (Batman and Innerspace) have the 1985 Warner Communications variant.
I had this on my old Gymboree video and Pee-Wee's Big Adventure too. I loved this intro and after that I loved it when Bugs Bunny was on the Warner Home Video logo. Now it's gone. Bring this back
The Great Mouse Detective Previews (1992 Print) Part 1: 1. Green Warnings 2. Aladdin Sneak Preview 3. "Feature Presentation" 4. 1992 Clean Walt Disney Classics Logo 5. Walt Disney Pictures Logo Part 2: 1. Walt Disney Pictures Logo (Silent) 2. The Rescuers Preview 3. "Coming This Fall to Home Video" 4. Beauty and the Beast Preview
Loved this logo as a kid! When I saw this come on, I knew I was in for a great movie or a great batch of Looney Tunes cartoons. Thanks for this post!
I don't rent many movies, but I think the only place I've ever seen this ever is on a VHS of The Song Remains the Same that I used to have. That could be my memory going wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is the logo that was used.
I have this on Batman Mask of The Phantasm adn Thumbelina (correct spelling?), my Innerspace and 1989 Batman tapes have the Warner Communications version, and my Batman Returns tape has the still version of the Time Warner version.
so stop your god damn whining about me being minorly wrong about a god damn byline modification (time warner to time warner), all associated with time warner you dumb ass
The current Warner Home Video logo is a major disappointment in comparison to the suspenseful ring of the 1986-96 version. I'm even thinking of writing Warner Bros. a letter and requesting this one be revived. This version actually plays the fanfare heard before many of Warner's films from the '30's and '40's, so it's also kind of authentic at heart. I sorely miss this WHV format.
