@tecaltabiano If you believe that homosexual couples should ever adopt normal children, then all I have to say is that I am ashamed of you. Maybe I need to get out more often, but you need to stay inside. Like, for the rest of your life.
There is no point in gay marriage. It is absolutely pointless. The concept of marriage is meant to create a safe, loving, caring environment for children to grow up in. Homosexuals are unable to procreate. The only thing gay guys do is stick their dicks up each other's assholes.
I believe that they can do that just fine without getting married.
f) Gay couples (just like many infertile straight couples) can't reproduce by themselves. Thankfully, for gay couples (and infertile straight couples) there are alternatives like adoption, womb renting, in vitro, sperm and egg donors, etc.
@staikotatos ... So what you're telling me is that ONLY gay people want to do is have sex. That is the most untrue statement I have ever heard. There are so many straight guys out there just wanting to have sex with girls and they still have the right to marry. Gay people have the right to marry because as the Pledge of Allegiance states With Liberty AND Justice FOR ALL. Not being able to marry the one you love is absolutely wrong. Representative John Kriesel is a smart man & makes valid points
@NHSviking14 I seriously couldn't care less about what this guy says. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with him, I'm expressing my own opinion. I'm not saying that all gays do is have sex with each other, or at least, that's not the point I'm trying to make. I'm saying that the main reason people get married is to raise children. Marriage will force both parents to raise their child, even if they don't love each other anymore. Gays don't have any reason to stay together if the love is gone.
@staikotatos There is NO purpose that comes with marriage. Nobody asks straight ppl if they plan to raise children before they get married. Plenty of straight couple marry and not have children. Do it for whole other reasons. Some are just in love, and get many rights that come with it that protect their bond and themselves. Gay ppl are just like any other individual, work, find love and want same rights. Plus, they can also raise children. Many do and marriage also protects their children too
@staikotatos And the way you address gay people in your first comment only shows what a dickhead you are my boy. You shouldn't spread hate and be proud of yourself. Do you think that is ok? Soon enough you will be very sorry for saying things like that. Gay people have done a lot of good for the society. Take others children that people abandoned and raise them like theirs. I have gay friends and they are friendly, helpful decent ppl. I respect this guy in vid. He is a real man and so am I, n u?
@lukosius1221 The way I address gay people? I never said they are stupid or greedy or insulted them in any way. I'm only stating facts. Gays take others' children and raise them as their own because they have no other choice. They aren't good samaritans, they just have no other options when it comes to raising children.
You are the only one spreading hate. I am merely expressing my opinion. You are the one who tries to threaten and bully others. Are you mad that not everyone agrees with you?
@staikotatos "The only thing gay guys do is stick their dicks up each other's assholes.
I believe that they can do that just fine without getting married." (was your comment). Now, do you think this is a respectful way to talk about people, any people? You don't go and talk about people like that if you want to have your opinion go ahead, but not this way. And you don't need to love or even like gay people. But you should respect them the least. And they must have equal rights. No qst about that
@lukosius1221 I do respect them. At least as much as I would respect a retard, or a schizo or any other mentally ill person. They should have equal rights, but like it is pointless to fight for a blind man's right to get his driving lesson, there is no reason in gays getting married. Again, I'm not saying it's wrong or evil or whatever bullshit Christians say. I'm saying it's pointless, and so it is. Respectful or not, that's what happens. Gays have sex for the sake of sex. Nothing more.
@staikotatos There is such thing as love and such things as morals and I doubt you know much about those. Marriage is a complicated matter that involves both politics and personal issues. And gays have sex, just like straight ppl sometimes have sex just for the sake of having sex. But when people want to marry they don't just have sex for the sake of it. It's so much more.. A lot more. And I am proud to stand for it cuz it's the right thing to do. Piece.
@lukosius1221 I don't doubt the existence of love and morals, however, two people can love each other outside the bonds of marriage. Straight people sometimes have sex just for the sake of sex, yes, but that's not all they do. Straight couples get married so that their children will grow up in a loving and caring family. Gays can only have sex for the sake of sex. They can't have kids, so why should they get married? Can't they fuck each other in a normal relationship?
"There are many efforts under way to tear apart the foundation of our society, which is the family." - Kalley King Yanta, a former anchor for a Minneapolis-based television station, and an anti-abortion-rights activist
That statement is so insulting and hateful toward decent gays and lesbians, and it's a BIG, FAT LIE that these anti-gay religious bigots still get away with saying.
Sacrifices are always welcomed....as long as OTHERS do the sacrificing. Former KKK enthusiasts and current Teabaggers agree, don't they?
The party of NO and of NO COMPROMISE consists of nothing but self-serving, self-righteous bigots and narcissists. Their average age is about 60, and their "values" are hypocrisy, greed, bias and selfishness.
The future has no place for this kind of social blackmail mentality. Perhaps the future has no place for the party formerly known as GOP.
Mr. Kriesel, you are an honorable man. Thank you for your support to do what is right. You are correct, history will show that this was the last human rights struggle. It gives me great hope to see that a republican is standing up for what is right and knows that freedom does not come free. I too am in the Army, a Minnesotan, and gay. I am forced to live outside the US with my partner because I cannot sponsor him to live with me ANYWHERE in the US. I would challenge anyone to tell me or o
Stop trying to bring a single religion's beliefs in as evidence against real-world debates. Homosexuality has no negative outcomes in reality, stop trying to make them up.
Level-headed Christians:
Please come out and create a movement against your ignorant hateful brethren, who are giving your beliefs a bad name. Show us what wholesome and logical people you are, and that you aren't all bigots.
@Sandworm3 I guess it's all the same with you Christians, with your illogical beliefs, sociopathy and superiority complexes.
In all honesty, I've met plenty of level headed Christians who can use reason and do not think of themselves as superior because of their beliefs. I beg those people to come on here and show us that they exist, so people like Sandworm cannot slander the name or teaching of Christ.
@Sandworm3 Explain to me how being gay is destructive without using a the Christian God. Explain it in a way that any religion could understand, because not everyone Christian, and their beliefs are just as valid as yours, and who will always be around.
And, in front of all of that, you call atheists nasty, vile and wicked, when the majority of child molesters and serial killers have been Christian men.
John - I really appreciate the value-defining moment for our country and yourself. Its moments like these that defines who we are, it defines our prospective and our principles. But, it is time to kick the crutch and realize that every time you speak, you can't lead with your moment what it means to unrelated conversation and lawmaking to benefit society. Being a victim, focusing on victimhood and values surrounding victimhood is what Democrats do.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This is so odd. The mantra is here that love equals the right to marry. No, the laws of marriage are all there, one man and one woman. An ancient institution that makes society and family life work and needs no adjustment or inclusions. The fact that they love each other or not isn't the question. What these elected fools propose is more a self esteem issue that gays need to legitimize their lifestyle. Not a justice or fairness issue as they preach, but a self esteem issue. Vote up!
@sandworm3 Do you think that men can't love men? That they don't marry for love, but to feel good about themselves? Because I don't think you've met some of the dedicated gay couples that I have. I know gay couples that are completely in love, straight couples that aren't, and vice versa. Not all couples marry for love and that goes for gay and straight ones. Gay couples don't need to legitimize their lifestyle because there's nothing wrong with it.
@FrostyShakeIt Actually that is why this stuff is forced through the media so much as to "legitimize" or "moralize" the behavior. Look at the six states where this is legal. The rate of marriage is very very low. The answer? Because this behavior in it's very nature is very promiscuous. Marriage and life long committment isn't the dersired outcome, it's moral acceptance.
@sandworm3 'an ancient institution that makes society and family life work" So you're saying the law needs to tell you how to be straight? you're saying if gays get married, straight people will cease to exist?
it's the same stupid fucking argument that says without the bible, we have no morals. because, without the 10 commandments telling you not to kill or steal, somehow you're just going to go automatically do that? you need help, because you can't think for yourself and project it on others
@Thrashaero Through the law we become conscious of sin. Romans 3:20. We also know that there is none righteous, not one. We are only justified freely through God's grace through that redemption that came by Jesus Christ. Romas 3:23 Sorry, how you feel about it doesn't really matter. Your feelings don't change the reality of what is. Besides, that behavior truly is detestable, no disagreement in that. Read Dr. John Diggs article to AMA about this behavior. Ya, it is vile alright.
@sandworm3 ????? no, i'm conscious of what is moral and immoral through using my brain to figure out what causes harm and what doesn't. not bible passages that include genocide, slavery. sorry, how you have been indoctrinated about morals doesn't really matter. your feelings don't change the reality of what is. besides, your behavior of letting a 2,000 yr old book that's been translated countless times think for you is truly detestable, no disagreement in that. blind faith is vile.
@Thrashaero yeah, precisely the problem fella. Your hedonistic mind determines your morals. What an ego, take God off the throne and put yourself on it. Exactly the opposite, your unbelief doesn't change the reality of moral law and created order of things. The vibe I am getting from you is same with all atheists - Nasty, vile, wicked and under judgement. I always hope for a speck of decency in this cess pool but am rare to find it. Regards.
@sandworm3 my hedonistic mind? what, like religious people don't have those, in fact have a track record of a damn sight worse with their boy fucking ministers, extortionists, faith 'healing' negligent parents, and other forms of coercion for brainwashing to make their desires a god over others? of course i'm under judgment when self righteous assholes like you are doing the judging, hypocrite. what an ego, pretending you know what god thinks. of course i'm vile relative to you, projectionist.
@Thrashaero I don't have to pretend, the word speaks to the atheist direct so we know what God thinks. "The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. Romans 1:18. Unregenrate heart and reprobate mind. Refuses to do what is right: Thank God for everything. Read further and we address the shameful acts that men such as yourself are "turned over" to. Flaming lust.
@sandworm3 first of all, the 'word' was written down and completely thought up by people. so no, you don't know what god thinks, or anything SUPERNATURAL. you know why? because nobody can simply point to an old book and say 'that's what god thinks'. especially a book full of as much contradictions and downright disgusting nonsense as the bible has. I haven't turned over to 'flaming lust', you presumptuous asshole. I'm just calling you out for needlessly arguing to prevent rights of others.
@Thrashaero Like I said, your unbelief is a product of a reprobate mind. Scripture is explained in 2 Timothy 'all scripture is God breathed'... I believe that, 66 chapters by various authors all woven and knit together perfectly. Everyting in the bible points you to Christ and His plan of salvation. Time to wake up, get out of the snare, quit being so hung up on alien made up identitys (homosexual) and make your identity in Christ, that is finding freedom.
@Thrashaero Yea, He's talking about two prostitute sisters and their depravity. God carrying out a judgement and using these two women as examples not to imitate. Kinda like you. Do me a favor, if you are going to try to turn scripture on me at least have the decency to understand what your reading instead of quoting your kooky youtube sources.
@Thrashaero I omit that, you aren't capable of properly understanding the scriptures. Need to take care of that reprobate mind and unregenerate heart first. Where does this begin? Jesus Christ. Repentance and faith in his finished work at Calvary on your behalf. Laying his life down while we were yet sinners.
@sandworm3 It doesn't matter what your book says because in America we have this. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" When you legislate laws based on YOUR religion that IMPOSE themselves onto OTHERS that is FORCING them to live by YOUR religious dogma. That breaks this part of the 1st amendment which GUARANTEES SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.
@KayoteThunder I don't think you understand that statement. The church and state were laid out to compliment each other, not be pitted against each other like your kooky wishes would be. The founding fathers intended the church to hold the governement accountable and the government to hold the church accountable. You suggest alien doctrines and alien family structures, I thank God for the rights we have, a voice of discernment to a culture that is wayward... Yep, wayward.
@sandworm3 They were not laid out to compliment eachother. They were laid out with BOUNDARIES to keep them SEPERATE! I am not pitting anyone against anyone you added that yourself. Alien doctrines? Gay marriages and gay relationships have ALWAYS been around they are not alien. There have been gay members in families as well that is not alien either. What YOU are promoting is BANNING people from doing/being something because YOUR RELIGION says so. That is against this amendment!
@KayoteThunder Destructive behavior. Predisposes those participating to high risk depression, chemical abuse, and physical sickness. Hey, pal, i'm just the guy saying the bridge is out ahead.
@sandworm3 Red herring fallacy. Trying to divert the attention onto something else rather than be exposed on how what you are doing is against the constitution will not work here. Face facts on what you are doing or with all due respect fuck off.
@KayoteThunder The fallacy is that your behavior and self esteem issue behind it somehow equal a constitution issue? I don't think marriage is what this movement even wants. Funny how the marriage statistics in states where this is legal are very very low. The real issue is self esteem and legitimize a highly promiscuous behavior. 90% of these so called unions admit to multiple partners. 85% done and over within 3 years.
@sandworm3 And so what if they do? It is there marriage decide what they can and cannot do with it. That is up to them to set their own boundaries on what is ok and what is not ok because it is their marriage and nobody elses. I know plenty of gay people who have been married or have been life partners for years much longer than 3. Where are your citations for these sources anyway? Why should anyone believe you? This has nothing to do with self esteem again you are changing the subject,
@Thrashaero Wow, first time ever I have bore the title of too many negative votes, I am perfectly ok with that. It is better a man to stand alone than be unified in error.
@sandworm3 oh yes, because you're so correct for being an unreasonable bigot. keep patting yourself on the back while you keep grasping at whatever fake rationalizations to convince yourself you're right, boy.
@Thrashaero Always the go-to point. Silence that man, call him a Bigot!! Just because I don't approve of the behavior doesn't mean I don't value the person, fool. Everyone is entitled to respect being made in God's image, I reserve the right to be discerning about destructive behaviors. Want to get explicit and outline what's so perverse about these back alley behaviors? Let's see how talking about 'gay bowel' can further your cause, boy.
@sandworm3 of course it's always the go-to point. you're a bigot, plain and simple. when you deny someone basic rights on the premise of religious views that are 2,000 years old, meanwhile apparently you have no problem with slavery being abolished and a bunch of other old testament laws that no longer apply because they are simply ridiculous or insane, that makes you a cherry picker as well. I also reserve the right to be discerning about destructive behaviors and call you out for it.
Any matter of religion has no place in the debate that Rep. Kriesel was taking part in. It's a matter of whether or not the State has the authority to tell its people that they cannot do something, and there just aren't enough politicians out there who aren't given pause when faced with that decision. We're supposed to be a nation of freedom; of what we can do. Not what we can't do. Rep. Kriesel got it right.
The truth of the language of sexuality is also missing in sexual relationships
between people of the same gender. Homosexual acts themselves, not the person with a homosexual orientation, are objectively & gravely immoral because there is no communion of body and spirit which facilitates openness to the procreation of new life. Homosexuality undermines the truth, fullness & wholeness of sexual communion. The Theology of the Body
@teton99 How do you know? Who are you to judge and advocate laws (thought Republicans were the ones who wanted the government out of the personal lives of American citizens) and spit on the grave of that brave young gay man who died for our country??
@teton99 If you're saying that homosexuality is immoral because sex should be about procreation, then should marrying infertile women also be illegal? They can't produce children, so having sex with them for pleasure would be 'wrong.' Should masturbation be illegal? Because it's pleasurable and doesn't lead to procreation and therefore would be 'immoral.'
Please try not to feel good next time you're having sex. It tends to take the morality out of procreation.
This is a civil matter not a religious matter so fuck the bible fuck god fuck Jesus and fuck the virgin Mary and fuck Christianity it's a stupid waste of time you'll see you spent your life following a book and when you die the only place you go is 6 feet under or in a furnace
The good Christians of the world have cured me of Christianity. These fundamentalist republicians are ignorant of their own scriptures: read 16 Ezekiel 43-52 to find out the Sins of Sodom (actually read the whole chapter in context). Gay marriage or dead Christianty your choice. Doug Matley

@krandaman1 Scare tactics, wow your way off. Humans should have the right to chose. Lets stop putting people's options in a small box. I know what I'm saying. Gay marriage is not the only option open for discussion when it comes to marriage. Lets stop being followers of trendy media topics and get minds of our own. Its extremely childish. Right? Right.
@krandaman1 I support polygamy, although I'm in no immediate rush to become a polygamist, people should have the right to choose the type of marriage they want, to me it is still black and white, with this whole marriage issue. Its either this or that. If the man wants to marry two women and they both agree on doing so, who am I to stop him from living his life the way he wants to.
Homosexuality is a mental illness and it needs to be classified as such. Many Jews are promoting homosexuality. The Jews of today are imposters. They are not God's chosen people. The true Jew is the "Black man" of the African continent. Jews are parading around the world pretending to be God's chosen people, when God's chosen people are under their 'feet". Would God choose a people like these Jews who are blood-suckers of the poor, murderers, liars, thieves, and promoters of homosexuality? No.
why can't we stand up and do what is right in loving our fellow tax paying citizens! If we don't understand gay people is one thing, but don't make them second class citizens because of our belief of what sin is. THOU SHAL NOT JUDGE! Let's not be sinners ourselves. I am a straight male republican and I would NEVER vote to penalize others regardless of their life style. It doesn't affect your or my family. Let's allow them to have a legal family as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@GIDAN2987 You need to get out of the folks basement - if I'm the "biggest dipshit [you've] ever spoken to.
As far as the lemming comment, they are actually sighted. (Gotta stop quoting the Westboro Baptist Church without giving them credit!) Can you argue without going reverting to 3rd grade? Thought not. You are a bigot. Deal.
@GIDAN2987 You make a lot of assumptions. My age, my intellectual capacity, my bible knowledge....all to disctract from the fact that you are MISSING the POINT of this video. So, in your biblical superiority, YOU are then allowed to speak for Jesus? "Easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle", I say! If you indeed feel I am spewing, then why does it goad you so? I stand by what I say, (without personal attacks) Kriesel is right, You, are quite simply wrong.
People are born with Pedophilia too and want to sex up little kids. I'm not against gay rights I just think this can be a slippery argument. God does not create every person that is born or everyone would be born perfect. He created the process of birth but what we do with our life is really our choice.
People should have the right to marry who they want to marry. Christ said not to judge and to love one another. Denying rights is not showing love.
@misssexylake Well, it depends if you believe in a god in the first place, but that's a moot point. Either way, we're all members of the human race, and have the right to live our lives as we feel we should.
@595o You see pedo and completely miss the point. Well let me put it this way. Being born black as in god made black people damn sure didn't stop slavery so being born gay will not stop people from them equal rights. Some bigot christian think that being born black is a curse from god and some may think the same of being born gay. I've heard a bigot atheist use evolution in the same way to put down black people and in their hateful mind it can work on gays too. The argument is slippery.
@misssexylake 1.) In your belief one god created everything and is able to control everything, ie. he is omnipotent, also he knows everything even in advance of time, ie. has omniscience. Therefore directly or indirectly (depending on where you draw the line between god and not-god) he created everything and everything is perfect. See what I did there?
2.) There can be no consenting relationship involving pedophilia, but a consenting homosexual relationship is possible therefore your comparison was bad and that was what I tried to point out to you.
@misssexylake "God does not create every person" You sound like a cherry-picker selecting the things that are good and attributing them to God while either ignoring the bad or finding a scapegoat (satan, free-will, liberty...) to place all of the bad upon.
Homosexuality does not lead to pedophilia (no study supports that it does). Pedophilia is a crime of aggression, like rape. Homosexual sex is primarily, so I am told by those I trust, about love. There is homosexual rape, but that's rape.
@drfoxcourt you sound like someone that likes to put words in mouth of others. I never said one lead to another. Just saying that someone is born that way or that god made it will not lead to people accepting it.
Ya know... There are few things that can bring tears to my eyes, bad or good... But it's even harder for good things to make me cry... And this is one of those times that I'm shedding tears of joy and happiness...
Conservative Christians illustrate both their hatred & hypocrisy when they jingoistically claim their values make us the land of the free where they are the primary opponent of liberty rights as demonstrated in this MN vote.
This bill violates the 'just governance' argument in the DofI demanding government protect people's rights equally as well as violating the explicit limitation of government power expressed in the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
@MikeHeath1 Many Conserative Christians don't even follow the teachings of Christ when it comes to their values so of course they will get equal rights wrong.
"But if you forget for a few minutes about the result of the vote, and the fact that we live in a time where civil rights are something to be debated, it’s comforting to watch it and feel like it is just incredibly easy to be reasonable, rational, and compassionate. And then you remember the other stuff and maybe have to excuse yourself for a moment."
Truly an Honorable Man. My hat is off to you Rep. John Kriesel.
Love and Compassion will always win out over repression and tyranny. Good luck with your Political Career. Run for President, I'll vote for you. And I'm a Democrat Veteran.
Don't know if it's been said yet, but thank you Mr. Kriesel for your huge sacrifice while defending our way of life. I never thought I would ever be as moved and inspired by anything I saw on YouTube!
Mr. Kriesel, I just have one thing to say. You hit the nail on the head of this issue spot on, and I couldn't have said it better myself! I just wish more of your Republican colleagues saw it in their hearts like you did.
I don't know if I've ever felt as proud of a politician as I did while watching this man speak — proud to live in a country where people like him have the strength of resolve to stand up for the right thing. I find it easy to become disillusioned and detached when it comes to politics, but his words are nothing short of inspiring.
This is fighting for freedom. This is what America should always be about.
Thank You John, I never thought I would ever vote for a Republican but in your case, I would have went door to door to campaign for such an upstanding man..... I always thought there were good people on all sides, all religions, all races and all facets of life, you are that person for me.........
So well said...why should people who claim to care so much about family values...want to deny perple the fundamental right to form families...look up 'Loving vs. Virginia'
@North2016 Yes, but who will stand up and the fight the TROLLS? Get lost. This is a beautiful moment in American history. Go raid some Glee forum or something.
That's exactly where conservatives are trying to take us...dictating American's lives and impeding the pursuit of happiness...nice to see Kriesel take a stand in a way that is NOT fascist.
Foderick, what makes you think your version of morality is any more righteous than someone else's? Gay couples demanding their unions be recognized doesn't affect you at all, but denying government recognition of gay marriage will have a dramatic affect on them. Yet you act as if they are imposing on you?
@Psycatalyst Loads of out of the closet gays in gop, don't forget about the Log Cabin repubs.
But everyone knows who you're talking about, the Restroom Republican hypocrites that scream hate for gays but are in that rest area stall looking to hustle Larry SuperTuber Craig for some pole smoking. Had to be a few in that crowd of clowns in MN.
Then I realized something that made me lose my new-found faith in humanity all over again. The fact that not a single Republican in that chamber voted no.
As a former member of the US Army and an Independent I appreciate his courage in standing up for what he believes. This is true leadership, but at the same time it is political suicide. The Republicon party is falling apart. It is a party of political showmanship and no ideas. It no longer represents the American people.
@Salguine There is, no doubt, corruption in both parties, but I believe the Democrats are without a doubt more interested in the well being of their fellow man and understand that living in a civilized society means we all must be able to attain a reasonable standard of living. We are social creatures and our well being is dependent in part on those around us. Republicons favor an every man for himself approach to life; a life of subjugation and not cooperation....
@mordred612 .....I want to do well in life, but not at the expense of another person. I don't believe in a nanny state nor do I believe that is what Democrats stand for. I want my neighbor to have an interest in a better life for his or her family because if they do not I, too, will suffer in the long run. Poverty breeds crime so we must eliminate it to the best of our ability. “Poverty often deprives a man of all spirit and virtue; it is hard for an empty bag to stand upright” Ben Franklin
@mordred612 But they're very good at scaring stupid people into thinking they represent their best interests. Even when everything they do runs contrary to that.
@KnightRaymund Fear is a powerful motivational tool. Republicans use issues like pro life, gay marriage and taxation to scare their base in to believing we are losing our freedoms when actually they are no better at protecting them. Consider Ron Paul's stance on personal freedoms. He doesn't believe the government should be active in our lives to a degree his own party isn't comfortable with. He is marginalized because he will not fall in line and accept their ideas of freedom.
@TheCaptainLulz That is the problem. Most people fall somewhere between the far left and right. Political polarization is good for both parties and if a strong third party emerged Democrats and Republicons would suffer losses. The Democrats are the lesser of two evils in my opinion and as I said before there is no doubt in my mind the Democrats are more socially conscious than Republicons.
Who is that weird guy behind him giving the crook eye while he's talking?? How rude!!

b) Many gay couples, not only do they want to get married, they also want to have kids and raise them.
c) You forgot lesbians.
d) Not ALL gay men have anal sex. In fact, only a minority has it constantly. The rest prefer to resort to safe sex.
e) Marriage is not only about kids. It's also about love and commitment between the two peopel in love.

I'm not saying that all gays do is have sex with each other, or at least, that's not the point I'm trying to make. I'm saying that the main reason people get married is to raise children. Marriage will force both parents to raise their child, even if they don't love each other anymore. Gays don't have any reason to stay together if the love is gone.
staikotatos 1 month ago
@NHSviking14 And I'm not saying gays shouldn't have the right to marry, or they should be denied any rights. I'm only saying it serves no purpose.
staikotatos 1 month ago
@staikotatos There is NO purpose that comes with marriage. Nobody asks straight ppl if they plan to raise children before they get married. Plenty of straight couple marry and not have children. Do it for whole other reasons. Some are just in love, and get many rights that come with it that protect their bond and themselves. Gay ppl are just like any other individual, work, find love and want same rights. Plus, they can also raise children. Many do and marriage also protects their children too
lukosius1221 1 month ago
@staikotatos And the way you address gay people in your first comment only shows what a dickhead you are my boy. You shouldn't spread hate and be proud of yourself. Do you think that is ok? Soon enough you will be very sorry for saying things like that. Gay people have done a lot of good for the society. Take others children that people abandoned and raise them like theirs. I have gay friends and they are friendly, helpful decent ppl. I respect this guy in vid. He is a real man and so am I, n u?
lukosius1221 1 month ago
@lukosius1221 The way I address gay people? I never said they are stupid or greedy or insulted them in any way. I'm only stating facts. Gays take others' children and raise them as their own because they have no other choice. They aren't good samaritans, they just have no other options when it comes to raising children.
You are the only one spreading hate. I am merely expressing my opinion. You are the one who tries to threaten and bully others. Are you mad that not everyone agrees with you?
staikotatos 1 month ago
@staikotatos "The only thing gay guys do is stick their dicks up each other's assholes.
I believe that they can do that just fine without getting married." (was your comment). Now, do you think this is a respectful way to talk about people, any people? You don't go and talk about people like that if you want to have your opinion go ahead, but not this way. And you don't need to love or even like gay people. But you should respect them the least. And they must have equal rights. No qst about that
lukosius1221 1 month ago
@lukosius1221 I do respect them. At least as much as I would respect a retard, or a schizo or any other mentally ill person. They should have equal rights, but like it is pointless to fight for a blind man's right to get his driving lesson, there is no reason in gays getting married. Again, I'm not saying it's wrong or evil or whatever bullshit Christians say. I'm saying it's pointless, and so it is. Respectful or not, that's what happens. Gays have sex for the sake of sex. Nothing more.
staikotatos 1 month ago
@staikotatos There is such thing as love and such things as morals and I doubt you know much about those. Marriage is a complicated matter that involves both politics and personal issues. And gays have sex, just like straight ppl sometimes have sex just for the sake of having sex. But when people want to marry they don't just have sex for the sake of it. It's so much more.. A lot more. And I am proud to stand for it cuz it's the right thing to do. Piece.
lukosius1221 1 month ago
@lukosius1221 I don't doubt the existence of love and morals, however, two people can love each other outside the bonds of marriage. Straight people sometimes have sex just for the sake of sex, yes, but that's not all they do. Straight couples get married so that their children will grow up in a loving and caring family. Gays can only have sex for the sake of sex. They can't have kids, so why should they get married? Can't they fuck each other in a normal relationship?

Stop trying to bring a single religion's beliefs in as evidence against real-world debates. Homosexuality has no negative outcomes in reality, stop trying to make them up.
Level-headed Christians:
Please come out and create a movement against your ignorant hateful brethren, who are giving your beliefs a bad name. Show us what wholesome and logical people you are, and that you aren't all bigots.

Vote up!
sandworm3 6 months ago
@sandworm3 Do you think that men can't love men? That they don't marry for love, but to feel good about themselves? Because I don't think you've met some of the dedicated gay couples that I have. I know gay couples that are completely in love, straight couples that aren't, and vice versa. Not all couples marry for love and that goes for gay and straight ones. Gay couples don't need to legitimize their lifestyle because there's nothing wrong with it.
FrostyShakeIt 4 months ago
@FrostyShakeIt Actually that is why this stuff is forced through the media so much as to "legitimize" or "moralize" the behavior. Look at the six states where this is legal. The rate of marriage is very very low. The answer? Because this behavior in it's very nature is very promiscuous. Marriage and life long committment isn't the dersired outcome, it's moral acceptance.
sandworm3 4 months ago
@sandworm3 'an ancient institution that makes society and family life work" So you're saying the law needs to tell you how to be straight? you're saying if gays get married, straight people will cease to exist?
it's the same stupid fucking argument that says without the bible, we have no morals. because, without the 10 commandments telling you not to kill or steal, somehow you're just going to go automatically do that? you need help, because you can't think for yourself and project it on others
Thrashaero 3 months ago
@Thrashaero Through the law we become conscious of sin. Romans 3:20. We also know that there is none righteous, not one. We are only justified freely through God's grace through that redemption that came by Jesus Christ. Romas 3:23 Sorry, how you feel about it doesn't really matter. Your feelings don't change the reality of what is. Besides, that behavior truly is detestable, no disagreement in that. Read Dr. John Diggs article to AMA about this behavior. Ya, it is vile alright.
sandworm3 3 months ago
@sandworm3 ????? no, i'm conscious of what is moral and immoral through using my brain to figure out what causes harm and what doesn't. not bible passages that include genocide, slavery. sorry, how you have been indoctrinated about morals doesn't really matter. your feelings don't change the reality of what is. besides, your behavior of letting a 2,000 yr old book that's been translated countless times think for you is truly detestable, no disagreement in that. blind faith is vile.
Thrashaero 3 months ago
@Thrashaero yeah, precisely the problem fella. Your hedonistic mind determines your morals. What an ego, take God off the throne and put yourself on it. Exactly the opposite, your unbelief doesn't change the reality of moral law and created order of things. The vibe I am getting from you is same with all atheists - Nasty, vile, wicked and under judgement. I always hope for a speck of decency in this cess pool but am rare to find it. Regards.
sandworm3 3 months ago
@sandworm3 my hedonistic mind? what, like religious people don't have those, in fact have a track record of a damn sight worse with their boy fucking ministers, extortionists, faith 'healing' negligent parents, and other forms of coercion for brainwashing to make their desires a god over others? of course i'm under judgment when self righteous assholes like you are doing the judging, hypocrite. what an ego, pretending you know what god thinks. of course i'm vile relative to you, projectionist.
Thrashaero 3 months ago
@Thrashaero I don't have to pretend, the word speaks to the atheist direct so we know what God thinks. "The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. Romans 1:18. Unregenrate heart and reprobate mind. Refuses to do what is right: Thank God for everything. Read further and we address the shameful acts that men such as yourself are "turned over" to. Flaming lust.
sandworm3 3 months ago
@sandworm3 first of all, the 'word' was written down and completely thought up by people. so no, you don't know what god thinks, or anything SUPERNATURAL. you know why? because nobody can simply point to an old book and say 'that's what god thinks'. especially a book full of as much contradictions and downright disgusting nonsense as the bible has. I haven't turned over to 'flaming lust', you presumptuous asshole. I'm just calling you out for needlessly arguing to prevent rights of others.
Thrashaero 3 months ago

Do me a favor, if you are going to try to turn scripture on me at least have the decency to understand what your reading instead of quoting your kooky youtube sources.
sandworm3 3 months ago
@Thrashaero I omit that, you aren't capable of properly understanding the scriptures. Need to take care of that reprobate mind and unregenerate heart first. Where does this begin? Jesus Christ. Repentance and faith in his finished work at Calvary on your behalf. Laying his life down while we were yet sinners.
sandworm3 3 months ago
@sandworm3 It doesn't matter what your book says because in America we have this. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" When you legislate laws based on YOUR religion that IMPOSE themselves onto OTHERS that is FORCING them to live by YOUR religious dogma. That breaks this part of the 1st amendment which GUARANTEES SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.
KayoteThunder 3 months ago
@KayoteThunder I don't think you understand that statement. The church and state were laid out to compliment each other, not be pitted against each other like your kooky wishes would be. The founding fathers intended the church to hold the governement accountable and the government to hold the church accountable. You suggest alien doctrines and alien family structures, I thank God for the rights we have, a voice of discernment to a culture that is wayward... Yep, wayward.
sandworm3 3 months ago
@sandworm3 They were not laid out to compliment eachother. They were laid out with BOUNDARIES to keep them SEPERATE! I am not pitting anyone against anyone you added that yourself. Alien doctrines? Gay marriages and gay relationships have ALWAYS been around they are not alien. There have been gay members in families as well that is not alien either. What YOU are promoting is BANNING people from doing/being something because YOUR RELIGION says so. That is against this amendment!
KayoteThunder 3 months ago
@KayoteThunder Destructive behavior. Predisposes those participating to high risk depression, chemical abuse, and physical sickness. Hey, pal, i'm just the guy saying the bridge is out ahead.
sandworm3 3 months ago
@sandworm3 Red herring fallacy. Trying to divert the attention onto something else rather than be exposed on how what you are doing is against the constitution will not work here. Face facts on what you are doing or with all due respect fuck off.
KayoteThunder 3 months ago
@KayoteThunder The fallacy is that your behavior and self esteem issue behind it somehow equal a constitution issue? I don't think marriage is what this movement even wants. Funny how the marriage statistics in states where this is legal are very very low. The real issue is self esteem and legitimize a highly promiscuous behavior. 90% of these so called unions admit to multiple partners. 85% done and over within 3 years.
sandworm3 3 months ago
@sandworm3 And so what if they do? It is there marriage decide what they can and cannot do with it. That is up to them to set their own boundaries on what is ok and what is not ok because it is their marriage and nobody elses. I know plenty of gay people who have been married or have been life partners for years much longer than 3. Where are your citations for these sources anyway? Why should anyone believe you? This has nothing to do with self esteem again you are changing the subject,
KayoteThunder 3 months ago
@Thrashaero Wow, first time ever I have bore the title of too many negative votes, I am perfectly ok with that. It is better a man to stand alone than be unified in error.
sandworm3 3 months ago
@sandworm3 oh yes, because you're so correct for being an unreasonable bigot. keep patting yourself on the back while you keep grasping at whatever fake rationalizations to convince yourself you're right, boy.
Thrashaero 3 months ago
@Thrashaero Always the go-to point. Silence that man, call him a Bigot!! Just because I don't approve of the behavior doesn't mean I don't value the person, fool. Everyone is entitled to respect being made in God's image, I reserve the right to be discerning about destructive behaviors. Want to get explicit and outline what's so perverse about these back alley behaviors? Let's see how talking about 'gay bowel' can further your cause, boy.
sandworm3 3 months ago

1donofrio1 6 months ago
@teton99 If you're saying that homosexuality is immoral because sex should be about procreation, then should marrying infertile women also be illegal? They can't produce children, so having sex with them for pleasure would be 'wrong.' Should masturbation be illegal? Because it's pleasurable and doesn't lead to procreation and therefore would be 'immoral.'
Please try not to feel good next time you're having sex. It tends to take the morality out of procreation.

No.

Denying rights is not showing love.
misssexylake 9 months ago

595o 9 months ago
@misssexylake "God does not create every person" You sound like a cherry-picker selecting the things that are good and attributing them to God while either ignoring the bad or finding a scapegoat (satan, free-will, liberty...) to place all of the bad upon.
Homosexuality does not lead to pedophilia (no study supports that it does). Pedophilia is a crime of aggression, like rape. Homosexual sex is primarily, so I am told by those I trust, about love. There is homosexual rape, but that's rape.

Big thumbs up for John. Way to go, man. I can only dream that your fellow Republican's will wake up and follow you.

Rep. Kriesel, you have ABSOLUTELY done the right thing. Kudos to you.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
I have no sympathy for you representative Kriesel, you chose to fight and kill brown people unless you truly are that NAIVE to think otherwise.
This is a ridiculous waste of tax-payer time, including this man and the REST of the Republican party.
North2016 9 months ago
@North2016 Yes, but who will stand up and the fight the TROLLS? Get lost. This is a beautiful moment in American history. Go raid some Glee forum or something.

@North2016 Actually, I think the Trolls sided with Hitler.

@North2016

Yet you act as if they are imposing on you?
watsonsd1 9 months ago 2
This is a bold man for standing for what he believes unlike the other republicans which consist of mostly closet faggots.
Psycatalyst 9 months ago 2
@Psycatalyst Loads of out of the closet gays in gop, don't forget about the Log Cabin repubs.
But everyone knows who you're talking about, the Restroom Republican hypocrites that scream hate for gays but are in that rest area stall looking to hustle Larry SuperTuber Craig for some pole smoking. Had to be a few in that crowd of clowns in MN.
Neoconhater 9 months ago
@Neoconhater All true. Don't forget since its MN you get local lunatic Michele Baaaachmann in opposition too

Wow, this is the kind of thing which really restores my faith in humanity. What a fantastic man.
darkslavechaos 9 months ago 68
@darkslavechaos Yeah, I thought the same thing.
Then I realized something that made me lose my new-found faith in humanity all over again. The fact that not a single Republican in that chamber voted no.
bigbenhoward 8 months ago
As a former member of the US Army and an Independent I appreciate his courage in standing up for what he believes. This is true leadership, but at the same time it is political suicide. The Republicon party is falling apart. It is a party of political showmanship and no ideas. It no longer represents the American people.
mordred612 9 months ago 42
@mordred612 The Democratic party doesn't represent the American people either.
Salguine 9 months ago
@Salguine They represent us better than the republicans do...are you kidding? They were one of the first to stand up for gay rights.
CheetahKurtsa 9 months ago
@Salguine There is, no doubt, corruption in both parties, but I believe the Democrats are without a doubt more interested in the well being of their fellow man and understand that living in a civilized society means we all must be able to attain a reasonable standard of living. We are social creatures and our well being is dependent in part on those around us. Republicons favor an every man for himself approach to life; a life of subjugation and not cooperation....
mordred612 9 months ago 3
@mordred612 .....I want to do well in life, but not at the expense of another person. I don't believe in a nanny state nor do I believe that is what Democrats stand for. I want my neighbor to have an interest in a better life for his or her family because if they do not I, too, will suffer in the long run. Poverty breeds crime so we must eliminate it to the best of our ability. “Poverty often deprives a man of all spirit and virtue; it is hard for an empty bag to stand upright” Ben Franklin
mordred612 9 months ago
@mordred612 But they're very good at scaring stupid people into thinking they represent their best interests. Even when everything they do runs contrary to that.
KnightRaymund 9 months ago 4
@KnightRaymund Fear is a powerful motivational tool. Republicans use issues like pro life, gay marriage and taxation to scare their base in to believing we are losing our freedoms when actually they are no better at protecting them. Consider Ron Paul's stance on personal freedoms. He doesn't believe the government should be active in our lives to a degree his own party isn't comfortable with. He is marginalized because he will not fall in line and accept their ideas of freedom.
mordred612 9 months ago
@mordred612 theyre catering far too much to the lunatic fringe right, and yes, theyre coming unglued because of it.
TheCaptainLulz 9 months ago
@TheCaptainLulz That is the problem. Most people fall somewhere between the far left and right. Political polarization is good for both parties and if a strong third party emerged Democrats and Republicons would suffer losses. The Democrats are the lesser of two evils in my opinion and as I said before there is no doubt in my mind the Democrats are more socially conscious than Republicons.
