@johnchannetshow Sami people are Finno-Ugric, So they look Siberian, slanted eyes, brown, dark hair, pale skin. almost like Mongolians... But Vikings mixed in them a little in history, so Today there might be some Scandinavian looking Sami ppl.
explain the rock carvings in Gobustan in Azerbaijan and how they connect with the sami culture! Explain the 10000 year old STONE HOUSE FOUNDATIONS and FARMING that the sami was supposed to be doing 10 thousand years ago, but arent doing today. this is rubbish!!
These petroglyphs are more likely to come from a pre viking culture as they are found throughout the coastline and waterways and not on the plains. Samis are nomadic asiatic tundra dwellers with no history of farming or building stone houses, nor of carving petroglyphs. This is lies to cover the truth of the real history.
Im afraid exactly the same petroglyphs exists also in caucasian gobustan in Azerbaijan. Arctic Norway also holds evidence of 6 thousand year old permanent stone foundation houses and farming. As a native arctic norwegian with a documented very long history in the area i take offense to the highjacking of all ancient cultural evidence as belonging to the Sami culture.
well the native americans did come from siberia by following caribou, wich is the same way the sami got to scandinavia. the saami are very similar to native americans, and the norweigans did the same thing to the saami as the american settlers did to the native americans. by the way im 1/8 saami
Thank you, I am Sami, my great grandmother was from Sami, and came to America for a better life. I miss her so much, and this video really makes me reflect back to the time I remember her. I love knowing I am Sami.
at 3:27 it says "in some areas the sami were taxed by 4 diffirent nations at the same time"...
sure that includes Norway, Sweden, Russia..but where is one more nation?? I can't think of any country which collected taxes from Sami...tell me if you know the answer...
@tatatakat
umm.. Well from what i have read thats not true at all.
When i visited lappland i didn`t see any "mongol" looking
Sami. The people were originally caucasoid and always have been.
They share very rare genes for example with Basques.

I'm Native American/Finnish but my friends who live in Finland say I look like a Sami woman. I always found that interesting and had to look them up.
Thanks for sharing this video :)

@Darkstorms15 I agree. Native Americans had been "americanized" same way that happened to Same people.
