(continued)an since there is alot more fishing now..it doesnt supprise me that they are smaller because for all the big fish they are catching lots more fish that are increadibly smaller.another point is that if they were getting smaller we wouldnt be getting newer world record sized fish but we still are...now dont get me wrong i know that every day we are polluting the oceans an destroying nature but just remember that there is a such thing as jumping to conclusions to fast
I too think that "Environmentalists" tend to exagerate and jump to conclusions occasionally (which ruins it for those of us who are trying to reach people like yourself with these videos), but in this case the oceans are in very bad shape, worse than we've hinted at in this video, and small fish is a big problem since one full-grown fish reproduces at the rate of a hundred or more small fish. Overfishing is a problem for sport fishers, commercial fishers, and environmentalists.
ok i fish an im all for consevation efforts but it think some of this is BS. i hate seeing that ocean polluted an all but just because the fish are smaller doesnt mean that something is wrong....one thing is that its fishing not catching an if fish are smaller it most likely means that that bigger fish arent biteing, and that you may be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
...That's supposed "Bush just dedicated a huge National Park North of Hawaii" it sounds so strange to say that, that my fingers couldn't even type it apparently....
There are plenty of Underwater National Parks, one is right off of the Los Angeles Coast called The Channel Islands National Park. Push just dedicated a huge one out north of Hawaii. It is a complicated issue though, which is why it causes such a controversy with fishermen and everyone involved.
Maybe the fish aren't getting smaller. Maybe were just getting bigger...

I can't imagine a more ridiculous idea.
"If someone says 'there ought to be a law,' there probably ought't." -Penn Jillette
Mother nature will take her course regardless of what you do.
And you may want to brush up on your grammar if you want people to take your cause seriously.

does not matter who owns them as long as someone cares about them and does what ever possible to stop any further damage and depletion.

underwater national parks? Which nation owns the ocean? (past 12 or so miles that is)
russcarljohnson 5 years ago
true we made a treaty along time ago that no 1 nation owns any bit of open ocean so that would be kind of impossible.
