This is a powerful scene. I came looking for this clip after discovering the new information site, "Qwiki", which actually referenced the movie "Wally" as sort of an inspiration for its information display "experience". Do you recall when the captain asked the computer to "define Earth"? That moment made me consider this film, which I felt sort of pioneered the concept with the "WAR" search. The world today is greatly influenced by Nietzsche, sure the line is very canned but it is still true. The enigma of man is that we are capable of good, but instead commit evil, sure we do go to war over nessecary causes but why do we in our sophistication lack the reason to avoid war? I guess human nature will always be our flaw.

One of my all time favorite scenes in one of my all time favorite movies. This little movie that so many people never watched because it looked silly, exposed people to more sophisticated concepts that almost every other movie they could have watched. Fifth Element ranks up there with the Matrix, in terms of all time award for courage of vision. FE expressed the world we live in, and how progressive is Love, contrary to the conservative stance. Matrix expressed philosophical ideas we ignore.
