  • Can anyone tell the name of the original painting.

  • i thought you made a very nice transition from one season to the next

  • Amazing, but I preferred it when it was in black and white.

  • yea...I was with you until the yellow green deal you got goin on at the bottom

  • I love it , it's great !

  • First, this is a beautiful painting and thanks a lot for sharing. Question: when you used the simple brush, did you dip it in black paint? Thanks! (I am NEW to oil painting and to arts in general)

  • Absolutely gorgeous!

  • it was great rite up until 3:20

  • I dont know much about this ..but i thought it was better black and white

  • And clearly none of the people watching this video have seen this episode... where Bob Ross does a version of this same painting.... and then also puts a color glaze over it. It's his art, and it's wonderful either way.

  • @chelsey267 really can you tell me what season and episode it was from?

  • what was the episode name of this painting? I've only seen it once I believe it was in the last series

  • @tecumseh22 Golden Rays of Sunlight from series 28.

  • whats this song ?? plz

  • i watched this episode!

  • you know for all the people saying "no yellow" and stuuf like that; its what HE saw not what you see, ok? by the way, very nice painting! :D

  • that is a really good pic. well done

  • you're not supposed to paint the path.

  • @electroshokk909 like....yellow.

  • Great instructions sir. The painting looks great.

  • Thats so amazin :) Well done.

  • Thank you

  • Idk I think it would've looked better without the color at the end... I liked it black and white better...

  • How many times? YoU

thid id the best lesson for new people come to color to try...

:-) I have a galery works of mine... and my friends that was brave to do Forest like you .. like me... Like a great Teache - Bob Ross!

    Thank you!

Have a wondesfull rime & a lot of time for that!

    Best regards,

  • haha love the intro

  • I liked it when it was black and white, but it still looked beauiful at the end :)

  • What's the music??

  • He does it in Black And White cuz he is a rasist

  • I like the painting and enjoyed the video. The painting looks very retro, to me (like from the 1960's). Before you added the color, it made me think more of Tim Burton than Bob Ross, though :).

  • How did you do make the glaze?

  • I also like it black and white, it was perfect, but good job anyways youre very talented

  • At first when adding the colours, I was like the rest of these people and thought Black adn White was better. But At the end I noticed what you were going for and it looks incredble, even beautiful...

  • Love this painting.....also love the music. Makes the video!

  • liked it all.....

  • Nice one. But i liked it till it was black and white. Don't like it colored.. :(

  • really nice! i love this concept.

  • I love it. The black and white was cool but had more of a depressing feel to it. I personally like the colors. I wish I could paint like this.

  • i like the part when he made the sun shine through :D

  • How did you achieve that blue wash? Are you perhaps using acrylics? I assumed you were using oil.

  • well.... the black and white one.

  • i would totally buy that from you. if i had money.

  • Can you tell me what the name of this episode was? Or the name of the painting?

  • @STGshenanigans I also would like to know

  • painting was done at 2:40

  • Them trees don't look happy or little.

  • WHAT IN THE HELL WA HE THINKIN? AND I THOUGHT THE BLUE WAS BAD

  • coijao go to fine-art.com search marc allen

great christmas gifts for the home

  • it would have looked better if it had like orange leafy things or something, not green, because it looks too much like winter/fall to do that.

  • I personally really liked the painting just in black and white....but its not my painting. You have much talent....very nice job. Bob Ross always stated....that it was your world...you paint what you like. And in your world..came the blue and yellow....

  • yellow was the biggest mistake ever

  • Very beautiful, though have to agree I think the yellow was a mistake

  • This is very beautiful! Great job! :)

  • B&W while depressing was much better. had better atmosphere.

  • omG that sh*t its amazing .. no way wth its he doing oooh he just ruined

  • Wow, what a lot of whining about what he "should have done". It's his paining, he can do whatever he wants to it.

  • @imyalova There's such thing as an artists mistake. He over complicated things. Should have left it black and white my man

  • it's the idea that the artist has... it's the emotion that he added with adding that green yellow... that blue... the way the light shines through shows life and makes the painting not so dark..both are dramatic and beautiful truthfully but neither one is any less beautiful

  • 3:08

NOOO YOU'RE RUINING IT WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!

  • black and white was SOO much better snowy woods at night.

  • You have to watch some more Bob Ross!

  • I think it's great, man...

i seen someone else's that attempted, it.

And was rlly disapointed, that it was basically a copy.

    No originality, at all.

Yours is Awesome, because you made it your own. it's not a poor quality replica, but an awesome original. And it looks awesome. Rlly kool the way you made it colored in the end. Great job!! =]

    I'm inspired. <3.

  • you make it seem so simple. lol

  • I thought it looked better before the color, honestly. Sorry.. I thought you were making a winter scene. I loved the cold atmosphere. I thought the bottom was going to be a frozen river/lake. Nice job, though!

  • that looked lovely in black and white. you could really appreciate the subtlety of the shades. i appreciate the finished product, but still....

  • Trial & error, live and learn.

  • it looked better before the color was added

  • am i the only person who thought i looked awesome either way!

like seriously, how many of you could have painted something this spectacular! really!!!

    fantastic job!

  • Very nice, but deff keep it black and white next time. It looked so much classier. music is awesome, what is it?

  • I liked it better in black and white - it was kind of ominous. But it's okay in color too, I just wish the color for the ground was more green than yellow

  • the blue was ok but whats with the yellow?

  • The black and white was amazing. Great job. 3:03

  • whats the song name?

  • i agree..better in black and white.it had point of view.

  • GREAT JOB

  • あんまり上手くない。

  • black and white looked amazing... killed it with the color.. good ..

  • The song is "Christifories dream" by David Lance if I remember right, anyways great painting I'm 27 and thinking of starting to paint myself

  • really good

  • ma chlopak talent

  • does anyone know what this music is called and who wrote it?

  • that was amazing, so that was just white gesso over black, and i will have to agree i liked it black and white better too, sorry it just seemed so perfect that way.

  • I did this painting too, and I tell you it looks great in only b/w,but Iadded the blue over it,only to realized, I should of left it in b/w But I'll do another one for a gift. Bob Ross Rules! Don't we all Love him, I think he lives through us all. I never get tired of watching, and listening to him in his "Joy of Painting show"

  • what was this painting called that bob ross did?

  • I don't remember this painting... hmm... it did look better in black and white...

  • I painted this painting once. Love it.

  • I don't remember Bob doing this one...

  • it's a really nice painting, but why this video title? it should definitely say "TRIBUTE" somewhere in the title of this vid.

  • imo it was perfect in BLUE!

  • I like it.

  • black and white will always outmatch fucking colors

  • get over the color people he was just changing it to show what could be done to it stop the video before he does it if he bothers you that bad lol

  • 3:11 noooooooooo it was PERFECT black and white! :(

  • startin very well and increasing, finishing really bad.

    Poor canvas.

  • it was wonderfull before the blue and green ...you`d really made me cry ...why did you do that ?? it was simply perfect before ....

  • I WANT THIS PAINT..

  • wow, it looks incredible good

  • I actually think it was at it's most powerful at 2:00, just before he started fiddling with the filbert in the foreground - painting is as much about what you leave out and allow your viewer to fill in for themselves...

  • @cobbybrook agreed

  • Loved it right up until the glaze.

  • Does anyone know the name of this music?

  • @jtrace24 Cristofori's Dream

  • @enemyzero13 Thank you!!!

  • wow!!!!!

  • he didn't ruin it, but i agree the fine details were thrown away in doing the color glazing, I would have prefered to see the blacks rebolded and tightened up after the glazing.

But then agian I didn't paint it, now did I?

  • Beautiful painting and music: great combo :)

  • it only looked good black and white I have no Idea why you would make it look so dumb with the blue and green.

  • I think it looked better in black and white because it looked like a winter wonderland. It had a stronger sense of depth in black and white. At 3:04 it was the prettiest painting ever. Maybe I'm just a black and white kind of person..... idk

  • i agree 100%

  • @mcalli95 or greyscale, black and white

  • i agree, it had more detail in the bushes as well

  • Hahaha Cristofori's Dream by David Lanz I CAN PLAY THIS SONG ON THE PIANO!!! yay what a kawinki-dink

  • way better without color!

  • umm no afro = not bob ross!

  • How long has he been painting?

  • Marvelous job!

  • Personnal Opinion;

    shouldn't have added the color.

looked very dramatic as a black and white piece.

    nice painting

  • Wonderful painting ! What is the name of the music played with it ?

  • @LogansGrandma62 Cristofori's Dream - David Lanz i like that song alot

  • liked it before the color is on!! the color is alright, but the black and white is just a lot more sophisticated!

  • How is this Bob Ross.? And what is that splotch on the painting at the end ? Good otherwise

  • Soo....Wicked!!!

I Was in "Ahhh" the Whole 4Mins!

    Brilliant!

  • i liked it without the colour.

whats the name of this piano song.?

    if anyone knows, please answer.!!

  • its someones art, its neither good nor bad he did a good job

  • I liked it without colour, but also thought something magic was gonna happen after the blue, but once you stuck the minging orangey yellow on then did whatever it is you were doing with the white splodge at the top, it began to look half finished :s

  • I agree with many other commenters... it was beautiful before you put the color on =/

  • i agree!

  • The black&white version war nice, but I also quite like the colored one, I don't think it absolutely spoiled it, but it made it...different in atmosphere

  • there is nothing wrong with this painting...it is full of atmosphere and definitely no overdone

  • what the hell, dude? it was freakin amazing until those weird snow balls. it looks like crap by the end.

  • No, it looked cool with the snow. Then he painted blue and green all over it and THEN it started to look like, crap. Very cool painting at the start though.

  • @mturtle660 I agree! The trees looked fantastic and I was hopeful that he would do the snow really well but then he just sort of... left them alone.

  • black and white create a deep, now is flat

  • You spoiled it when you put the colour in. Should learn when to leave it!

  • Perfect...!!!

  • looked better with black white and gray shading

  • @Adkasicky

agreed. it looked so much better before the color.

  • i love his music!

beat the devil out of it!!

  • why would you ruin that painting with puke yellow? it was fine black and white

  • @shotgunspinach alle am meckern,- ich find das sau geil,-das zu können, macht laune. sehr chillich!

  • it was the shit when it was black & white...

  • oil?

  • Clearly some did not read the discription where it said color glaze finish.

  • oh, no... 3.05 finish

  • Beautiful painting, nicely done. It's like it transitioned from winter to spring...

  • it looked soo nice in the black and whit it looked llike a snowy afternoon

  • better in black and white. seriously.

  • @slacker21688 yeah it looked cool in black and white. i thought it was trees near a river or something on a moonlight winter night..

  • @slacker21688 YES .YOU ARE RIGHT .

  • I will have to admit, you had one heck of a nice painting before you covered it with blue and green. I would have paid money for it! But now I wouldn't hang it in my garage... sorry :-) your talented though

  • black and white is so much cooler!!!

  • fake, you are not Bob Ross

    You wish

  • I prefer it without the green, but either way it's beautiful.

  • beautiful!

  • what was the name of this song? sounds familiar.

  • cristofori's dream by david lanz

  • honestly, the add color at the end wasnt a good idea, the green, anyway. however it is AWESOME

  • wtf. kiddin me

  • Brilliant, wouldn't mind having that up on my wall! :)

  • I must agree that I liked the black/white version better. Reminded me of Opeth's album cover art for Blackwater Park.

  • black&white is better!

  • its very good i wish i could paint or even draw for that matter

  • Just remember, Art is relative. :) Drawing and painting is just like talking or singing. Everyone does it a different way.

    Peace out. :)

  • what the hell did you cover it in crappy looking color for!?

  • Thanks for posting! They aired this on J.O.P. the other day. I tried from memory last night, but did not get it quite right. Now I can watch yours. Thanks again!

  • thats really neat..it looked dashing before he added the colour, looks just as good after though!

  • you should have left the color out

  • the color took the powerful mood of the forest away!!!! this was so inspirational!! you made it look so easy. very nice =]

  • I love it! It's a beautiful painting!

  • I LOVE IT!!!

  • Come on people!!!

Many of you are saying that he made a mistake by adding the color... what happened to "There are no mistakes, only happy accidents."???

    -Bob Ross :)

  • what an asshole!

  • simply amazing

  • He had to have a big heart he inspires me to wont to try painting makes it look so peaceful Im sure he had a loving soul he was just great look forward to watching him every week on my local pbs station thank God for dvr cause it comes on at 5 am

  • I love it.

  • I am amazed!

but I have to admit when you were adding the colour I was like: NO!

    leave it!

  • speechless

  • wow!
