Deris if you want to compare his range to someone look at the Saxon singer Biff.  Its a limited range but still a great voice for metal. He does yes lack a tenor range anyways for the keeper's stuff. What they should have done in my own opinion not the bot's...would be to down the notes to Deris's range instead of having him force the notes out....my opinion as a vocalist...and the only reason they still do those songs is because fans want to hear it. Deris is aware he doesn't have that range

@999Talia Well you have to remember something...bands at the end of shows usually do a request or a classic from the entire existence of the bands discography as a crowd pleaser...for Keeper's of the Seven Keys era same titled song should be the one they do as the notes for that are mostly in Deris's range if ya think about it as its more mid-low notes than high unlike I want out...which is where the hate between the two sides comes from lol.

Oh one more thing, Kiske is raspier than he use to be but not in a bad way its still pretty damn good. The problem with this is the quality of the recording not Kiske's singing. But, tenor's do get raspier in age as do most singers Geof Tate and Rob Halford are too examples but they are still gods at the vocals regardless as is Kiske. Deris on the other hand is not a strong tenor but still a good singer and composer for what he writes. The old keeper's stuff is meant for Kiske's range.

Kiske sings this song for the first time in 20 years and he sounds incredible, just admit it. Sure he doesn't hit the notes in the same way he did when he was 19, but he comes pretty close. I mean no explanation is needed: 2:39 & 4:03 = power, control and clarity.
