  • لا الله الا الله سبحان الله الخالق الباري المصور له الاسماء الحسنى

  • chuck norris trying to light a match

  • Damn nature, yo' scary.

I love thunder storms. <=[ don't get a lot of them though.

I guess that comes with its perks, and its downsides.

  • nature sure is a badass

  • Wow did a tornado came to you?

  • 0:20 - "Uh....I think it saw us!"

  • omg harry potter is in there fighting :0

  • @dbskmickey14 LOL :D

  • Wow - on a flight back from Minnesota to Newark, we flew past a T-storm at sunset - it was amazing and beautiful.

  • 0:20, spectacular

  • It's cool to see lightning from an airplane, planes usually don't fly in thunderstorms they fly aways from them but close enough that you can see the storms and at night they're beautiful

  • amazing, so beautiful but so scary,so far but so close, sometimes natures gives displays that can only be described by experiencing them yourself..for this there is no words, thanks for sharing it was amazing to see it but still feel safe at home,on the ground =)

  • wow so cool,,i like it :D

  • damn nature, you scary!!

  • cool

  • I dont know if I would be loving this or freaking out.. Probably both. lol I gasped the same time you did.

  • That lightening was a bit too close lol, I would be praying if I was on that plane.

  • Awesome! XD

  • Maybe she saw something on the wing!!!!...."nightmare at 20000feet"...have a look!

  • That's so awesome!! So beautiful of a lightning storm from an airplane! You can really get a good view. Super lightning shots! Especially at 0:21 and at 0:41, that bolt seemed to last quite a while! Wow....

  • WOW! Stunning!

  • oh my God oh my God.....OH MY GOD

  • it looks like you are suspended in air. it does not look like you are moving! so cool!

  • thats cool as hell

  • omg! amazing vid dude :D

  • I am mad keen on planes and weather but a very very nervous passenger so I would be midway between paradise and hades on this one. One bit would be praying its knees off the other running out of camera kilobytes.

  • that would be scary (and cool) to see from a plane!

  • thts soo cool!! omg

  • I would have cried...

  • Beautifull, really good video.. like it!!

  • Wow... I've never seen anything like that!

  • heaven's party there or? ^^

    omg that's scary... :(

  • that is sooo scary ! i probably would of peed in my pants !

  • The plane is safe in this kind of weather...the lightning will just go around the plane, the only reason to go around a thunder storm is the turbolent wind.

  • Wow that's amazing and also bloody terrifying....excellent video!!! xxxxx

  • AMAZING....but I would so want to fly faster out of there! lol. When the lightning reached outside of the cloud I lost my breath for a second!

  • Perhaps the best video I've ever seen on youtube

  • lightning got out of cloud at 0:21

  • sweet! that looked like the one in calgary in july 13th at night

  • Beautiful to watch eh...

  • awesome!

  • that looked wicked!

  • It's amazing how you can feel terrified yet in awe after seeing those lightning discharges. The night sky combined with the lightning is what really impacts.

  • Its amazing what a different perspective can do to something as plain as lightning!

  • It about the :15 mark, I would be putting down the shade and hoping that the movie would start really quickly

  • me too

    damn that was really scary!

  • Or tell the pilot to push the engines as fast as they could go

    -response to TX200000000

  • Well the pilot too wants to go fast but he must follow the rules from the FAA that states aircraft below 10,00Ft must not exceed 250 knots but once past 10,000Ft they can go to the desire speed of the pilot plus if he powers the engines to full throttle then the aircraft could go into overspeed.

  • Interesting...I was just thinking to push the engines to full throttle to get the plane out of harms way.

    -response to UAL4ever

  • Nah...if the plane isn't emitting any charge, the plane is at a safe distance. Every pilot will avoid that kind of weather by circumventing the storm. However, if it's too high or too wide, they'll go through the least turbulent part of the storm.

  • woops, meant to mark that as a thumbs up, sry.

  • sweet.that looked like a couple of positive strikes at :20 and :58.

  • relax bitch, 's just some lighning

  • Then be in a plane flying through, around, or over a thunderstorm and see how tough you are then

    -response to sergage

  • There are small antennas, called static discharge wicks on the wings which will dissipate static electricity that builds up on plane flights. The wicks are also designed to safely discharge any lightning bolt that hits the plane back into that atmosphere. With that said, being in a jet airplane is one of the safest places to be in during a thunderstorm. :P

The psychology of going through a thunderstorm (especially in air) is scary, so I won't blame him for that.

  • Oh OK. That's what those little things are...you learn something new every day.

    -response to KEKinc

  • The only threats I would see in a thunderstorm while flying by it are the turbulence and high wind speeds. ;)

(Sorry for double posting; I reached my 500 max char. limit)

  • i second that kekinc

  • waw!

  • Really sweet flash out of the side of the cloud. Pause at 00:20 and see its power. Pause at 00:21 and you can see where it hits the ground. Thanks for sharing.

  • i would be soo scareddd. but this was amazing..

  • nice video

  • wow that scary! i remember seeing lightning like that in a flight to manila. didn't have a camera though : (
