  • dont like to bother killing them before they die from suffocation, eh? just close the box so you wont see them squirming and all is well, eh?

  • @stoneeh my sentiments exactly, that was just wrong and cruel - just toss it in the coffin? no water compartment- was there no other way?????

  • Gaff from the Bottom up, not the top down

  • cant wait to we go get dat dolphin is it heavy

  • Caught a 40 lb mahi mahi yesterday around that same spot..... got hooked off some weed lines and a lobster trap

  • beautiful fish haha... how far off are you?

  • We were a couple of miles off shore following weed lines

  • tasty treat! nice.

  • ES embicherarlo no achocarlo!!

  • nice missed gaff

  • beautiful fish.

  • nice, clear water. cool seeing the fish coming to the boat. should have had it on the first gaff, though. if you want to see some other great mahimahi/dorado clips then click on the "hawaiifishingaction" tag above this message and check out our videos. let us know what you think. thanks.

  • dolphin

  • uh-duh

  • yea i go out from sands cut. And the dolphin will be anywhere out past fowey. determining the season will usually help you with how far out you have to go. for example summer time there will usually be little size dolphin and everywhere. but winter it will be right along the edge in like 150-350 ft deep. thanks

  • that first gaff shot was pretty ugly haha but nice fish and we all miss a gaff shot here and there

  • That is near the Seaquarium and I am sure that the Flipper wouldn't be too happy ..

  • Classic. Dolphinfish are tough to snag, they're so flipping swift.

  • The guy with the gaf suxxxx

  • I don't remember how far off the coast but after you get beyond the "edge" of the Gulfstream, I don't think it matters--just find the weed lines and hope for the best.

  • I have "rethought" my comment on location and am reposting. It was off Key Biscayne but was a few miles offshore. It takes about 30 minutes from Mashta Island at Key Biscayne to get out past Fowey. We look for weed lines or debris--dolphin (fish)lurk under and along the suface where the weed and debris occur. It may be from 1 to 5 or more miles from the edge of the Gulfstream.

  • i go off of key largo, same strategy, weed lines and debris, we have to go out bit farther to get the big stuff like that, how deep were you? we have to get out about 4 miles or so to get off the shelf and then it starts getting deeper from there

  • awesome thanks. Also how long would it take to get out there from mashta island...where the regatta was held on 3/10/07 and how many miles offshore are we talkin about?

  • hey where'd you catch that and do you mind if we fish in your spot?

  • that looked like a male Mahi mahi

  • You are CORRECT! Unfortunately there is no prize but you have a quick eye.

  • Thank you you're too kind

  • Muy bueno.Enhorabuena por la captura.
