  • So did you have it on the 2nd setting the whole time?

  • @madgameman1

No. the hammer spring leg came off the trigger and was binding the bolt carrier up.

  • Where did you get that Galil style handguard for the saiga 12? Ive been looking for one forever now.

  • @greencell0

I dont remember. Someplace out of South Carolina makes them. You have to use a Galil rear handguard retainer and file or machine the nubs off and weld a cap onto the front. I actually sold that shotgun a year ago and the guy who bought it took the galil setup off. No. I dont know where he is.

  • Mike, I believe you about getting this thing working, but I was wondering if you could post a video of this shotgun working with low brass loads. A friend of mine linked me to this to dissuade me from buying one saying it would only handle stout loads. I think he's wrong. Help me out here. I want to believe it, but I also want to see. :D

  • @MeatSmudge

You just have to open the gas port up a bit. 3/32" in 3 holes gives plenty of gas to cycle puny American field loads. Look at some of my other vids where I am "TRYING" to hit a clay pigeon.

  • Shit, I hope not that this shotgun is chosen by any army..

  • @Anonymus0809 y not? its a great reliable gun but as a militry shotgun it NEEDS powerful rounds to cycle it if theyre to weak it wont work properly russia uses it with many previously eastern bloc countries great gun few weapons surpass it in its class if any

  • @TheAlexagius yeah I can see that this is a reliable gun... I would NEVER take this with me in any war

  • @Anonymus0809 so his gun is broken or he is feeding to light a load i wouldn't take a broken gun with ammo mot ment for it

  • bolt action shotgun... :D

  • Damn that has to suck.

  • :15 you can see how he flinches when he pulls the trigger haha

  • When shooting the low brass game loads from Walmart, you need to install the weaker piston spring so that it cycles properly. You can buy the low brass kit at Carolina Shooters Supply.

  • @B52Page

Most Saigas need work to the gas ports. . I opened that one up to 3 qty 3/32" ports and it ran like a raped ape with whatever I put in it and it made the adjustment on the gas system actually do something. Putting a light spring in it is asking for cracked pistons if you get a full strength round.

  • Glad you were able to remedy the problem with the mainspring. I've watched a few of your videos, and it's insane to me how people attack you and your style. Keep doing what you do. I've found that the S12 loves buck and slugs, and SGM Tactical 8 rounders. Take care.

  • just for the record so anyone watching this im pretty sure you can set the ejector clip to a variety of thicknesses that may be the problem he is having i had that happen on one of my guns scared the hell outa me.

  • it's the factory piston switch it for a better one and it'll fix ur prob

  • @HOPPINBOB88

It was the hammer spring. FWIW the factory piston is the "best" piston for the late 2 port guns . The aftermarket ones bleed off gas for the early guns with ports that were too large.

  • Glad you fixed it :) Good hunting.

  • Not a fan of the galil style handgaurd... or the folding stock for that matter.

  • crap ammo plain and simple !! Oh a Saiga 12 has a adjustment for that Dummy

  • @mtnman19631997

If you had any idea what you are talking about your opinion might be worth something. Unfortunately you do not so your opinion is worth less. Hammer spring was laying over the trigger wrong and hitting the bolt. .

  • imagine getting pulled over while having a arsenal of high powered guns in your trunk

  • @brieman2

I dont have to imagine it. It has happened to me before.

  • @brieman2 Yeah, you usually end up leaning up against your car bullshitting with the cop about guns for 20 minutes until he has to check in.

  • @brieman2 I specifically remember the time I had a 75rd drum for an AK on the passenger's side floor of my car (illegal here) and a state trooper pulls me over, looks down in with his flashlight, "is that a drum mag for an AK?", "yyyyyep...", "Damn, those thing have been getting hard to find, I found a place online that had a bunch and I bought myself 4 for my birthday."

  • man, even their shotguns look like AKs...

  • do u know how 2 use a gun?

  • How da fuck do U not see it jam?

  • @420TupacShakur Cause he's looking at the target dipshit.

  • what kind of optic is that?

  • @SuperDwang

    Belorussian PK-A

  • It's a freaking peace of crap mag thats jamming it. I had a promag too crappppppp! Do youself a favor and goto mdarms.com and get the 20 round drums they kick butt. and are about to go on sale for $75! soon.

  • @olDRAKElo

I don't like the drums. Stock doesnt fold when theyre attached and theyre too wide. The 8 round Russian mags are expensive but worth the money. In any case it wasnt the surefire mag causing the problem. It was the hammer spring.

  • @olDRAKElo The local gunshop owner loves the promags- he says that once they are fitted right, they work better than surefire. THey just need a small amount of material removed.

  • i have to say you are a very patient man... i would be screaming and throwing things!!!!! great videos

  • thats a pretty good looking saiga.

  • How many rounds does that hold?

  • @VertPimpin

Thats a 12 round magazine. They make 20 and even 30 round drums for them,

  • FLINCH!!!!! haha i do the same thing

  • I still thought it was a good gun when all the bugs are corrected.

  • are you running a recoil buffer?

  • @spermyzskeet

No. It was just the hammer spring riding over the dis-connector causing the bolt carrier to hang up on its way back

  • @mikeandnatasha oh.. I used to run one in my saiga 12 and It was not ejecting the shells.. but if that worked, good deal

  • That must have been very frustrating.

    Slower than even a bolt-action.

  • waiting for anger to set in and you to throw it at something... lol.

It is a shame that it did not work, i always wondered how fast those kalishnokov style 12 gauge shotguns cycled.

  • @8888Duke8888

Generally they work well. Its when the dumbass operator installs the trigger spring wrong that they have troubles.

  • you must have gotten that at wades

  • smoke! ahhhhhh fire =DDD

  • Is that why the shells weren't ejecting all the way?
