  • Your dog needs to work a little harder on his part. Listen to Fahey's dog and compare. Fahey's dog tapers off the volume before being told to be quiet. Your dog quits abruptly only after being told to. Fahey's dog apparently realizes that barking at that moment was bad and therefore backs off. Your dog probably needs to go to an actors school to get the right feeling of embarrassment into his bark.

  • @lucasfibonacci1 You're absolutely right, I'll tell my dog. Just hope he has a sense of humor and doesn't get mean on me!

  • Awesome cover, dog included, perfect. So there is only one question left: What kinda trolls came to watch this? There are NO negative comments but 4 thumbs down with only 7 up (I just made it 8). I don't get it...

  • @rnrdemon Thanks! Some people take pride in giving thumbs down, independent of the content (they don't even look and listen)... Live and let live!

  • Played very much like John played it - I've always loved this song since I first heard it in 1972, with a virtuoso performance by Fahey's dog.

  • @richw9090 Thanks. I recently read somewhere that the dog was really unintentional but was kept on the recording by the producer.

  • Great playing, and that guitar sounds good!

  • @MKurki Thank you!

  • somthing about how you told the dog to stay quiet, and continue to play makes me smiel, and get really happy. Once again, amazing preformance.

  • @sk8ter765 Thanks. Maybe the dog was less happy...

  • haa, i like the dog part :).

    nice playing

  • Great Job Bert, one of my favorites!

  • Thx!

  • Nicely played. Your resonator guitar has a very mellow sound. I assume it's a spider and nor a biscuit bridge?

  • Thank! Actually I don't know the difference between a spider and a biscuit bridge... It's a Japanese model and I did change some things to improve the sound. One of those was the bridge which is now a piece of plastic really (was a wooden bridge originally).

  • Excellent stuff, well played. The barking dog was a nice touch ;-)

  • Thank you Stephen. Btw, looking forward for you next upload... long overdue!

  • Right you are sir ;-) I added a new one yesterday & hope you like it

  • I do!
