  • Synced - Utube = bkyTK9tRgHs

  • Good music, but does anyone else think that the singer looks like a child molester?

  • @guitardrumskate That "child molester" is Steve Albini, you show some respect, he is one of the greatest things to come from the 90's, his guitar sound, his journalism and his studio he made to help undergorund bands, he's truley a great musician. And, yes, he does, a little bit, 'specially with that haircut...

  • So apparently a year later and this video is still fuct. You must work for the government...

  • disorder

  • 37 people can kiss my ass

  • Quit complaining about the sync, you fucking crybaby hipster. - Steve

  • Guy in orange looks like fat mike.

  • heskiyaafa baburu

  • This video reminds me why I love music.

  • 1 2 fuck you

  • ...you guys just have to look on his channel - it's there

  • Steve Albini- outwardly such a nerd, the guy has the heart and steel that would melt the likes of Van Damme.

  • What kind of amp they use?? They are handmade i think :S

  • @thirdeye86

there not hand made. its a fender bassman inside a metal case. nowadays he uses marshall

  • albini once asked david yow what he thought of shellac and yow boldly told him it sounds like rapemen with different drums and albini got all offended lol.

  • yngwie fucking malmsteen!

  • @flyingape11 ................gthoo

  • its not out of sync, steve is just so awesome the notes come out at a diffrent time. todd and bob just have to learn to keep up

  • Anyone know what kind of amp albini uses I heard mig 60's but that doesn't look like one??

  • @rssnowblind0 he uses a old 60's bassman. altho nowadays hes more prone to a bit of the old marshalls

  • When I hear a Steve Albini band I never hear a bass guitar, although they use one. All I can hear is a middle guitar instead.

  • Leave the pissy synching. it's a good touch annd yo frkin purfeectishunists fk offf. like lemmons in your scabbs whilee you sleep.sssgdsssssssgdds

  • He and Bob both play Travis Bean guitars. Aluminum necks and heavy as hell.

  • steve albini has the coolist guitar

  • its about 3-4 seconds out of sync

  • For the love of God and all the catholic saints of this world and others one... Somebody can sync this video???? AAAAaaaaaarrrggggghhhhh!!!

  • God, I want another Shellac record already-and I don't want to have to wait seven years for it!

  • This is dope as fuck - even though it's out-of-synch!

Amazing drummer, holy! What a band

  • Is there any other version available that isnt one beat effing behind!

  • excellent track THOUGH heavily influenced by Thin Lizzy's -Killer The Loose

    just compare

  • Does anybody know what kind of guitar steve ablini uses? Or are they custom.

  • @rubster1206 He plays Travis Bean guitars. They have an aluminum neck, which is (part of) why his sound is so distinct. Only about 3,500 Travis Bean basses and guitars were made and general production ended in 1979.

  • Anybody know what kind of guitar he is playin?

  • I will never watch this in sync again.

  • Steve ammazzali tutti!!! Forza Shellac!!!!

  • Cojonudos

  • ik heb een idee over onze eigen nieuwe sound jongens: laten we de plukkerigste band ooit worden!!! jaaaa goed man en dan vertellen we het niet aan onze ouders ok ?

  • if you want perfect quality, buy it

  • @ektoratreyu No.

  • @ektoratreyu I'm buying the DVD just for this track (others a nice bonus). The studio production is a domesticated animal compared to the Burn to Shine beast. Is Shellac always this good live?

  • why does you tube screw up the sound synch on so many videos?

  • I have literally been waiting YEARS now for you to fix the fucking synching on this video so that it can be watched without me wanting to strangle someone. Fix it and re-upload it, you sadist son of a bitch.

  • @Kyomara haha oki ill try it tomorrow

  • @F11L00 No need! @bigairred has already done it. Let's share a coke and enjoy!

  • @F11L00 hahhaa me fucking too,its been like 5 years the same shit ,shellac rock so hard

  • @F11L00 Is tomorrow an enternity ?

  • @FIGHTINGxFORxMUSIC oki i did it

  • @F11L00 It's still way off

  • @F11L00 Tomorrow =/= A year.

  • @F11L00 ye, right.. -_-

  • @F11L00 you haven't fixed shit.

  • @rubensinclair because I'm sure Steve Albini would totally care about this video being out of sync.

    No, wait, he probably wouldn't.

  • @F11L00 Fuck you, you lying bastard!

  • @F11L00 I love how fast he switches from F to G.. I can never switch that fast.. F is a hard chord to switch too >.<

  • I go to this vid. I watch it up to one minute. I go log in cause I wanna comment and the Vid will load to 5 seconds. FML!!!!!!!! I wanna smash my computer now.

  • @Kyomara You should get all your friends to thumbs up or like this video to show F11L00 for responding to your request and being a great steward of YouTube.

  • nice work fellas! i too saw the animal planet episode, anand thats how i found out bout these guys

  • OUT OF SYNCH BUT STILL EXCELLENT

  • Nice song here. To an extent, it reminds me of the Melvins. That must have been a low budget music videom since there wasn't much fancy stuff happening. This was very much worth watching.

  • I see what your saying about this kinda sounding like the Melvins. I think it's the bass line

  • assholes

  • you guys are fuckin' stupid.

  • piercing analysis

  • @xouat youtube is laden with intelectual titans with excellent taste and discerning,no?

  • meh

  • Comment removed

  • somebody sing already

  • so out of it, the only reason I found out they had a new album out was because the drummer's dog was featured on friggin animal planets dogs 101 program. I fail

  • I too learned of new Shellac from animal planet.I'm glad I'm not the only one.Maybe Fugazi will reunite on Man v.s. Food.

  • will always be AMAZING.

  • the drummers dog is on dogs 101 he has an italian greyhound. l0l the dawgy is sooo frail

  • L'audio fuori sincro fa molto Fuori Orario!

  • wow, crazy post. I would have to agree that shellac and Mogwai or just about as different as carrots and cookies. Mogwai sounds like a tool rip off?? weird. ironically albini did record slint's first album, so there is a connection lol. Man I dig is guitar sound. Any guitar nuts want to explain the tone? To me all I hear is treble. I love it. You definitaley know it's steve.

  • Travis Bean.

  • roll that beautiful bean footage.

i just wish it was in sync.

  • sync it up!

  • proper rock band, 0 % of commercial attitude

  • @bigosss666 yeah man.. thats great band and non-commercial

    :)

  • apart from sunchild..the last few posts are real dumb! shellac rock... end of story.

  • damn my friend used to let me jam on that guitar back in our high school friend days, that thing was mean

  • The drummer looks and sounds like it was the first day he ever picked up sticks

  • He is probably the douchiest looking drummer of all-time.

  • yeah

  • what guitar and bass do they use? they sound so damn good!

  • His guitar sounds like it was dunked in water and then someone took a shit on it.. I like how they have that cool vintage equipment up there to make them look more awesome than they are..

  • someones jealous.

  • I don't understand that statement...

  • Then what's a good band princess?

  • Umm, Helios Creed, Psychic TV, Chrome, Loop, Paik, the Telescopes, MBV, Swervedriver, Godspeed You, Mogwai -- a lot of other shit.. this is not it.

  • "cool vintage equipment"? the solid components that they themselves, as electronic engineers, developed?!? just because you don't get the sound doesn't mean that albini didn't influence half the bands you mention, m.l.f. i was in a band that toured with mogwai a long time ago; they're a rip-off of everything steve produced, plus some others. do your homework, newbie.

  • yeah, i've toured with a LOT of those bands you mentioned, as a matter of fact, and i do think it has a bearing on something. and i know who built the components that shellac uses, "for starters". newbie was long before starcraft; all i meant by it is that you at least SOUND clueless. mogwai is a totally different aesthetic than shellac, you can't even compare the two in performance. i think mogwai have gone from a slint/frontier ripoff to a cheap version of tool, sadly.

  • you arent aware of their work i take it then!

  • steve albani is the god of indie/rock productions

  • Comment removed

  • you could have easily corrected him/her without the 'shut the fuck up.' jeeeeeeeeez. meanie face.

  • very nice, too bad it's out of sync

  • was this part of a series where they got bands to play in abandoned houses or something? what was it?

  • Comment removed

  • Its just their band dude, lol, they're super underground and underproduced.

  • yeah the houses are about to be burned down so they gotta send her off, Ya know?

  • They're using triggers, the kick is triggering an Alesis SR-16

  • really ??? good !!! that makes them more and more underproduced !!! : )

  • You guys are great :D

  • Where can I find audio of this version?

  • newest album, Excellent Italian Greyhound

  • This Fucking Rules.! Stuff Got Soul.! Fuck Yeah.!

  • Oh boy.

  • damn the video isnt synchronized with the audio

  • in sync here

    watch?v=hUQdW3fH-cU

  • I love this band because they are so bullshit free, solid as granite instrument work and vocals that have literally no faults.

  • wow thats good musAk

  • is the pickups on albinis guitar made of coper

  • It kinda looks like it yeah, I know he likes copper (copper picks n all) so it's plausible.

  • arido7, your fav's say it all...HA HA

  • To arid07 you need to go back to rock school. Or are one of those there are only 2 great bands Rush and Metallica types? Learn what real rock is then come back with your deep insights.

  • Albini is more historically significant than any musician you have ever heard of. Jazz musicians were writing in those odd time signatures before you born to expand the range of emotion in music.

  • 4/4: The oddest time signature of all.

  • how can he be "historically significant" if not many people have heard of him? i'm not saying he's bad or ought, it's just your comment makes no sense...

  • As temporal distance increases, many significant historic moments, events and figures become increasingly recognized for their achievements. Billy Strayhorn's contribution to Duke Wellington's music and mythos can not be divorced from the persona of his second hand man. . One can not possibly have knowledge of all history from all disciplines that was once obscure, the carefully studied, acknowledge by critical peers and then disseminated more widely to the public.

  • While Rae Eames did have some recognition as the husband the one of the 20th Century's iconic designers. Interviews, journals, and research little room for doubt that Charles and Rae deserve equal credit since the objects were both their creations, not the spawn of the male figurehead. This is not a feminist fad that re-interprets history, but findings that illuminate lesser known writings, creations and decisions.

  • A few more superfluous long words, please.

  • Next time I ll dumb it down it just for you. I forgot that this is about insulting each other and criticizing people's style of writing.

  • First of all, "not many people" you're hanging with, maybe. Second of all, if you establish a genealogy stretching from the first Big Black lps to, say, In Utero by Nirvana (which you don't need a Foucaultian historian to do, this being the age of the Internet and all), you can see that Albini is the undercurrent.

  • Yes AlbinigaziYow!

  • Third: you did know that J.S. Bach was practically an annonymous figure in Europe and otherwise during his lifetime and a coupla following centuries? It wasn't until Felix Mendelsson started republishing his work that his name become remotely familiar. Today he's bigger than Handel, who, at his day, had boys throwing themselves at his balls. Always historicize, dude.

  • yes but me get insulted for wanting have more informative discussions. media machine different back then but please continue with subtle insults. it make me better person. just like you.

  • Are you kidding?

Shellac are a fucking beast, they easily make my top 5 bands, I've never heard guitar work quite like Albini's, and Trainer's drumwork is spot on.

Listen to their recordings, they are surgical with their precision and timing, while keeping that raw energy and dirty sound intact.

  • Thank you for not being over-pretentious.

  • Sucks the sync on this is off cause it`s a great lil tune.

  • Oh, Albini, how I love thee

  • this is soo good!

make me love rock and roll again

  • wow!

  • thanks for this man!

  • help. my ears are on fire freaking fire. congratulations. today this video was selected by the NYC Punk Rock Evolution Foundation. love and fear it. wow.

  • does albini are shittin in its pants when he sings?

    good stoner anyway! great!

  • does anyone know what kind of head mr albini uses?

  • I heard Mr.Albini makes his own cabs and i think its a fender head of some sort boxed in that huge thing. Or it used to be.

  • inside that box is a Fender Bassman IFRC

  • check his setup on guitargeek - very useful site

  • watch?v=Zpp2_VcXD9c

  • Alright, is this video's being out of sync exactly one beat intentional or the result of shitty compressing? It's a weird effect nonetheless, like sometimes you'll be looking at Todd, thinking they're playing in time, then realize they're not at all.

  • youtube shitty compression

  • I would bet it is intentional.

  • Sono i migliori!!!

  • Good !

  • would like to get them really pissed and steal their guitars.

    a plan is forming....

  • Hey, if you do that, wanna give me one of them? I'd KILL for a Travis Bean :D

  • a little extreme perhaps. try mugging a yuppie instead right after fat bonus day...

  • Nah, I think I'd have to be a hit man to be able to afford one.

  • ok who you gonna kill? i mean with those fat bonuses and a cashpoint you don't have to do all that messy business. just look scary and take the cash. Travis over the counter - sorted! sadly no yups near me just arable farmers with no ready cash. oh well - squier tele for me...

  • Ha, I'm in that situation too, don't worry. I've stuck to playing old shitty Harmony guitars that I fished out of music stores & a Squier Jagmaster that I made not suck. Fun times.

  • A Vintage bass, here. Yeah, that's the brand name. Crappy P-Bass copy with Wilkinson pickups, a pick guard that has a naff screw and probably needs new strings and a truss rod adjustment at least :(

  • Is it just me, or is Jagmaster the most unfortunate name for a musical instrument ever? They are quite nice looking, though.

  • Yeah, it's not as pleasant as saying Jazzmaster or Jaguar :D But they are great guitars for the price. And lots of fun to modify.

  • id pee in their amps
