DF: I am all for LisaNova, believe me! But there are multiple sides to every issue. It is a testament to CR's integrity, power and sensible reporting that I can remain completely faithful to him while disagreeing on a key issue. I wouldn't underestimate his importance on YouTube. He is obviously gaining a larger audience, but you'll see that in time. Counter-argue by all means, but don't get ugly. I am smart enough to make up my own mind.

I don't watch most of her videos nor subscribe to her channel but I'm sure she works hard to get subscribers as well as views. I would estimate that she probably puts in 60-80 hours a week for YouTube including promoting (some would call it spamming) herself on other channels. No one is forced to subscribe to her. LA is an expensive town and it's tough for any actor to put food on the table. Give the girl a break.

DF: I am all for LisaNova, believe me! But there are multiple sides to every issue. It is a testament to CR's integrity, power and sensible reporting that I can remain completely faithful to him while disagreeing on a key issue. I wouldn't underestimate his importance on YouTube. He is obviously gaining a larger audience, but you'll see that in time. Counter-argue by all means, but don't get ugly. I am smart enough to make up my own mind.

In as far as we all have personal motives, then I guess they do. Anyways, I think by now we all understand this controversy was created intentionally. The issue here is that CR doesn't care. It's disgusting to him regardless. And I really don't see him as a pawn in anyone's game considering he is a rising YouTube celebrity in his own right. Whether or not CR is a "rising star" is a subject for debate. Him being a pawn in our game is an opinion you can dispute as well Zack. I am referring to the incident of spamming that took place i.e. posting of messages on numerous accounts for the partial purpose of advertisement, regardless of method. CR is against this, I am for it, and many don't care. Spam is a bit hard to define at times, but I also don't think that this is something that LN intends to clear up, and that's fine. Some want an explanation, I don't need one. Its purpose, like most great art, lies partially in its mystery.

CR and CG are quite intelligent. I am definitely a LN supporter through-and-through, I just happen to be a bigtime CR supporter too. Just look at the stats on her channel today compared with the screenshot in your video from only a few days ago. That must say something, since she is fast on her way to getting into the top 5 of all time. Part of her image now is to be a "rulebreaker" or "bad girl" and to poke fun at the pundits. This is how she chose to enter new territory on youtube.. as a 'spamwhore'(?), but a successful one.

The "real subscriber" comment was an inside joke referring to all the people who sling "ghost accounts" accusations at anyone who was on the sign up invite page like CR and LN. CR certainly IS entertaining and that's why I hope to see him putting his talents to work for us again very soon. His integrity is very suspect in my book.

With regards to LisaNova's rep: Since the spam less than a month ago, her Channel views and subscribers have almost doubled, Her comments section has multiplied by 7 or 8. Numbers aren't everything but obviously this has worked for her. As you said yourself, it frustrates you how many people are NOT mad about this. Her rep has suffered with some, but overall is actually stronger than before. One's rep can be largely subjective.

I prefer to think of it as ARTISTIC INTEGRITY. Quentin Tarrantino had his name taken off the the movie, "Natural Born Killers", because the final script was not what he wrote. He could have kept the name on and gotten MORE MONEY, but he didn't. Samething for Reseviour Dogs....if he couldn't make the movie EXACTLY how he wanted, he wouldn't have taken the studio deal and instead would have made it low budget with the money he got from his script work.

Had she talked to the community and asked content creators to support her video with an ad in their comments section, she might have had A) an opportunity to make a few friends in the community, B) an opportunity to earn respect among her peers, C) a winning video in the sketchies contest.

#1. Why should everyone make the same amount of money? This is SHOWBIZ! #2. You really $5,000 is alot of money after all that effort.. not really, especially since she won't be able to keep doing this much longer. #3. She knows whatever she sends in a PM is public. Therefore, how can you be sure, as you said, that it's all accurate, the tone of her meaning etc. This is all part of HER game and you are just falling for it as a key player.

Granted different people are worth different amounts, but I know users who are more talent and make less on the partner program based on her PM.
Everything in that PM is consistent what what's happened so far. Especially the "pros outweighs the cons" line. I'm trying to change that. Also this is partly to show her motives weren't just about making a "funny" vid and highlighting a problem.
