Thank you for sharing so many of your arrnagements, and providing such clear video to boot. I think I've looked at more Ken Middleton on Youtube than anything else. Your instrument reviews are great fun to watch, also. I picked up a rosewood tenor in June, having no idea what I was getting myself into. It's been great fun & you are an inspiration.
There are 2 sections (verse and chorus) and each is repeated. I did 4 separate audio recordings and "glued" them together using Audacity. I then got the audio in sync with the video and there you have it.
The secret is to play it at exactly the same speed and don't move the microphone or the tone will change with each recording.
Excellent piece, very bright, I've only ever heard this piece once before played really fast, on fiddle and banjo. I like the slower version on the uke.
Thank you very much for that comment Alan. I was going to enter this for the Bushman contest, but I changed my mind. Perhaps I shouldn't have done that.
Sweet! I love bluegrassy notes. Flawless playing as usual, and fancy camerawork too! (I couldn't tell if you were wearing leather britches or if it's just the title of the song...) 5*
It just seems effortless when you do it. I download your tabs occasionally and all I come up with is an awkward approximation of what you play. Ah well, it's nice to hear someone who plays so well. Thanks for all you do, Ken.
very well ken! :D

I don't think I have recorded one. I usually record a fast MP3 and a slightly steadier version for the video.

Beautiful and elegant.
I could listen to a LOT of this.
Nice video work and a beautiful instrument, too.
Man, there are getting to be some
high-quality pieces of art around here!

Flying fingers on that fret-board. Very nice Ken!

Thanks. They could fly a bit faster, but I wanted to make it as clear as possible to watch.

I like your various camera angles. You must have a good setup for making your videos.

No, I just use a simple compact digital still camera set on video mode.

How did you get the various angles within the same video? Are you using multiple cameras? Are some of these done later, sort of "lip-synced" style?

Thanks Russ. I find it very hard to make the ukulele fingering clear on the video.

It could be played faster, but you tend to lose the tune. I agree, it is better played a little slower.

Good grief, Ken. Another favorited video from you! The arrangement was so - what's the term - just right for that tune and at the optimal tempo.
I appreciate the extra camera work, too. It adds a feeling of depth to the whole experience. Just lovely, lovely.

Not quite flawless, but I appreciate the comment.
And no, I wasn't wearing the leather britches. In fact, I only wear them when I need to sing really high notes.
