Thanks for sharing your secrets. I'd be happy if 20 years down the road I were half the player you are now. You have done a great job teaching people via the internet. I have an openings book from the early 60s that I was working my way through, but to see them come to life and with the variations... There's nothing like it. Thank you.
I agree with what has been said before it doesn't matter what your rating is, your contribution to chess education and the spirit of the game is invaluable. I'm already thinking of becoming a member at Chessworld. Keep it up!
By the way, at 8:29 you look a lot like Garry Kasparov! Resemblance is undeniable
I never gave it to anyone - it was a play on an IT skill's CV - just for fun. But I guess it could be used if you wanted to apply for Chess Coaching jobs.
Very best of luck in the London FIDE tournament next week and all other tournaments. I and many others have learnt an enormous amount from your chess video commentaries over the past year.We all think you should be optimistic about obtaining eventually at least the FM title.
cmon KC, can you be any less optimistic about hitting 2300 and being an FM. you got your youtube following rooting for you. regardless of the output of the tournament next week, the first step in getting the FM title is believing that you have a chance.
Professor !! thanks so much .. i have applied the halloween gambit and with the help of rybka i think i can improve it...my friends were impressed of that opening i can beat them with that opening hehe..thanks sir..
Hi KC. I speculate that people in the future will look back on your style of video annotation and see a milestone in chess popularization and education (as pioneered by you and your fellow youtube chess annotators.) In particular, your own output has been so prodigious it would be reasonable to say an entire generation of beginning players (like me) think of you much in the same way you might think of your Mrs. Hawkins. (It's a positive memory I hope!)
You played Basman? Is there a PGN of that game available anywhere, by any chance? I always find it interesting to watch how good players respond to his unorthodox openings.
I have been watching your vids for well over a year now and never grow tired of them. Just want to say thank you for being so generous with your time and being such an effective teacher. As revealed by this vid, you have a long-held passion for chess, and it is contagious. cheers!
FM is not the lowest FIDE title, it's CM (Candidate Master) at a rating of 2200. But it's not very well known and respected.

That is a good point. I think I would be interested in getting this title first. I noticed some CM's at the London classic tournament I am in.

A 147 in the under 18 event. I don't that that Ronnie O'Sullivan even did that. Perhaps he did. Thanks for all of the great videos.

You should do videos of some of your games from when you were a kid in those tournaments (Lloyds bank?).
Do you have them recorded somewhere? The game card?

You're such an enthusiastic player that I could care less about your ranking; you remain one of the best players to learn from. Good luck next week!
