I retract my last post. Performed with MM in the Catskills. She is MARVELOUS!!! Post was my impression of Judy Garland's talent as a singer. My dear friend, Jackie Vernon, opened for Judy, and had asked me to see her at The Palace. Frankly, after watching half of her performance, had to leave.....she, in my opinion, was horrendous..........

Michaels is not one of the best female impressionists, but one of the best period. This clip is not a good example of her great talent. Though she has Judy's mannerisms down pat, her singing impression is not on par with the others she does, such as Streisand. Wish she was still in the public eye as much today so people could see what real talent is like.

@jlucci1177 You're right, her Judy is not as good as the really accurate ones she does, for example, Rosemary Clooney, Streisand, Eydie Gorme. I think she attempted it because people wanted to hear Judy, as is often the case when impressionists perform.

she is truly a wonder.. but she falls in and out of Judy.. her Dorothy is truly spot on. you can see it in a love boat clip here on youtube.. she is with debbie Reynolds..

Marilym Michaels is the greatest comic impressionist of teh past half-century. No one comes close. Her impersonations are dead-on! She does more, a greater range, and unlike others, she can do more than mere speaking voices. She SINGS exactly like the greatest female singing stars of the age. She is awesome. The best!

Thanks for posting the VERY TALENTED "MM"! I grew up watching the KopyKats (aka "The ABC Comedy Hour. Every week were legendary guest hosts like Orson Welles & Tony Curtis. I actually met Mr. Curtis at a party and mentioned the show. He was sooo flattered. The other impressionists from the show were Frank Gorshin, George Kirby, Rich Little. & Joe Baker (who did an excellent Lou Costello). Will it be available on video? I'd pay top dollar, because there was so much TALENT to enjoy.

I wish CopyCats would have been on the air longer than it was---it was really phenomenal. I think there were about 3 other impersonators besides Ms. Michaels and Mr. Kirby, but I don't remember who they were. Maybe one of them was Rich Little???
