Another point I would like to raise as far as owning airsoft or firearms. Like M16soldier mentioned, firearms great for hunting, target shooting and unfortunately holding up the local convenience store. HOWEVER! The whole point of airsoft is to enjoy a safe and enjoyable sporting environment without killing anybody (including your friends)

@dawhitecastle 400 bucks won't buy you a real steel, transferable M4A1 Carbine. Hell, you can't even buy real M4A1s as a civilian. The closest thing to those are transferable M16A1s and similar variants that go for $16,000+ on the civilian market. Plus, you have to get the correct paperwork. If you meant a real AR15 variant, those go for $1,200+. Don't forget about ammo, which will run you a good $300 (plus tax) for 1000 rounds. Some countries don't even allow real AR15s to be sold to civilians.

Sooo My WE M4 stopped working. I'm a paintballer, so airsoft is pretty new to me. after charging the mag, and loading it up I put it in the gun. When I try to pull back the charging handle...cocking the gun. It is pretty much locked and I cant cock the gun. Its like one the gun gets gas it freezes up and wont do anything. If i pull out the mag I can use all the functions, cock, pull the trigger and such. Everything works except firing the damn thing. Any advice would be nice

What type of gas are you using? It might be that.

Use either propane or Green Gas. It is what airsoft guns usually take.

Airsoft guns aren't anything like real guns. Guns are great for their purpose, your have to shoot targets and maybe hunting but airsofters get airsoft guns because they didn't want a real gun, It's a whole different experience entirely.

@M16soldier Yeah, really. I would LOVE an airsoft gun with the accuracy and range of a REAL gun, but the kind of kinetic energy required makes it deadly. I know rubber bullets exist, but those can be deadly too. THAT'S the main reason people buy airsoft guns. Besides, many of us DON'T live out in the sticks, where you can shoot a gun and no one else will know/care. Over here, in the Bay Area, if someone shoots a REAL gun, within 5-10 minutes cops are on the scene.

I agree with you, but your talking about milsim, and sometimes its more fun to play with large capacity mags, just because buying enough military capacity magazines to last through a battle would be expensive, and they could get cumbersome to carry. Personally I prefer Midcap, like 120 rounds, you dont have to wind up the mag every 100 rounds, and the bbs dont make a lot of noise when youre moving around. but think what you want, I see why someone would like realistic capacity

This is a nice carbine... Pretty cheap compared to Systema's but that one was originally built for Law Enforcement training anyway. But I dunno, the trigger is oddly placed, it's further down the assembly I suppose?

Systema PTW's are a whole different ball game to any other aeg or GBB on the market.. externally the guns are very similar, internalyl theyre very different

look for a "speed loader" they work in various AEG and GBB magazines, so it should work with a WA magazine as well.

I use the 470 XL loader by Tokyo Marui and love it!

You can buy them at Academy, Walmart, or any sporting goods store for like $3.00 USD.

Just got mine from Evike. Sweet gun, but does not work at all on full auto. By the 2nd shot, the magazine seal breaks, leaving me in a cloud of liquid propane. I was told to lube the mag (which I did) but it did not help.

Open the mag up. There is a gasket on the side and a metal plate held on by 3-4 screws. After you remove this plate, there's a very poorly designed gasket which leaks. I put a light layer of silicon around the gasket and reassembled. Seems to be holding for the moment. Still poor QC from WE

I just bought this gun and it is a fun bit of kit. Better than the L85 A1 i used in my Military service years nah only Joking. It is fun to shoot. I tried to in the Shop on was called WA and the other WE. from looks and feel and performance i went for the WE big difference 510 fps with Green gas. This Model can also take propane gas lol.
