  • they used his voice too long, you could hear how tired, or ill he was... some like Rooney, don't know when to retire...RIP

  • I didn't know he died. No wonder I was surprised these days to hear a girly-voiced man doing the announcing. So sad.

They should just do the intro un-announced... or get James Earl Jones.

  • @HectorJW2007 - The weekday voice of "Nightly News" is now Michael Douglas. Still, however, you have a point . . .

  • nice guy, always had time to meet guests of staffers...

  • RIP

  • Does somebody know who is the voice for sunday news with Lester Holt ?

  • Not sure, but he should have done the intro for Williams too.

  • Wiki says Les Marshak

  • Wonderful voice.

    And now Michael Douglas. -_-

  • the michael douglas one sucks!

  • Mr. Reig's death leaves Don Pardo, Roger Tuttle and Vic Roby as among the only surviving members of the famed NBC announcing staff - though of those three, only Mr. Pardo is still working, announcing "Saturday Night Live" to this day - however, he no longer works for NBC, retiring from the network a year before Mr. Reig.
