i wish they didnt make the new sho a luxury sports sedan, i wish they would have kept it like the other sho's, (family sports sedan) which in turn would make it more affordable
Hmmmmm, do i now make the same amout of todays dollars as yesterdays? GUESS NOT, so my logig is it is overpriced...if my wages supposedly greaw as they figure the cost of the cars in new dollars i would not complain of the price...and just so you know i di own an 89
38K.....HAHAHAHA lets talk 28K top of the line maybe. Yea Ford, lets price the car out of the range of the basic family car plus market just like the T Bird return and then complain no one buys it... bunch of DOPES.
HAHAHAHA when you factor in inflation its the same price as the 89-99's and it's a full class size better, far nicer and more powerful. dope.
the SRT8 Charger is the same price, is no faster and has a pretty low quality interior with far less amenities (did i mention it gets about 5mpg worse?). A Maxima with sport and technology package is the same price, as is a Lexus ES350 with leather and HID headlamps.
40k today is what 30k was 10 years ago and 20k was 20 years ago, its not overpriced.
@JML857 join a union or find a better paying job. the 99 SHO cost 29k loaded, and it's a smaller car with way less amenities, 38k is not unreasonable and they're selling quite a few SHO's. If this car was built 10 years ago, with the crap thats available on it, it'd cost a heck of a lot more than 38k to buy. If you want a 28k car, go buy a Fusion Sport.
$38K is for this top performance version for the enthusiast, not for a "basic family car". You've gotta know about something before you attempt to cut it down. You only embarassed yourself.
THe title of the video is "2010 Ford Taurus SHO Commercial I made"
The base on the SHO is $38K without any of the sports tuned suspension, the larger, yet still sub-par brakes, the tight ratio electric (read no road feedback) steering, no close ratio rear end. etc. This is a Rube Goldberg throw-everything-at-it vehicle if ever there was one. In 18 months all the so-called goodies in this beast will be on every Hyundai you can buy, so hold on a year or two, and let the price come down....it will!
This is obviously made by someone who is a bowtie supporter who is jealous that this car has things that GM or even some of the japs have thought about putting on them. The first thing you need to do is shut your mouth and re-post when you have actually had the chance to drive the vehicle. I bought my 2010 SHO 8 days ago and I can tell you - the sport tuned suspension is standard, not an option. You obviously don't know much about this car, and your post supports that. Get a clue, then post.
DId you notice how Ford tries to make you feel GOOD about paying more for PAINTED rims?
Anyone with half a brain knows what those shitty rims will look like after having hot brake pad dust rush over them all the time...From the reviews, the rotors themselves may be grinding down, as this Ford's puny brakes overheated on every test vehicle!

I love the ending you created. It modernizes the old motto ford used! Fantastic, i wish ford would use this, its exactly what they need right now!

chanc812 2 years ago
Yes, it's not real. The sound is from the original ad for the Lexus SC400, so it's a V8.

Man, that is sad when a guy can buy a car and NOT know what he got...
DIRECTLY from Ford's website:
OPTIONAL:SHO Performance Package: Performance Brakes, EPAS Calibrated Steering, ESC Sport Mode/True Off 3.16 final drive ratio, 20" Premium Painted Luster Nickel Aluminum wheels with Y-rated Goodyear Eagle F1 performance summer tires (P245/45YR) and tire mobility kit.
...ESC=electronic suspension control SPORT MODE with disable feature. Real drivers know why you turn it off and when! HAHA!
