  • this is so damn hard.. I read and watched lots of videos for it's technique, but still cannot do it..grrrrrrrrr!!!

  • i been able to belly roll since i was a little gurl

  • thats awesome.

  • Looks easy but i couldn't do it im practicing tho :) thanks for the tips love.

  • woww nice boddy <3 yum

  • damn that looked hot xD

  • This really helped.......and you look great!

  • Thank you this helped me SO MUCH! :) I can now roll my belly.

  • Oh my Dalli lama on a stick! I can do the whole bottom part and kinda roll... even make myself look about 7 months pregnant! But this... This is inhuman. Lol

  • Nice Body. Nice Moves. Good Techniques...

  • Wow, I'll need a lot of practice.

  • thanks. finally know how to do it now!

  • its so HHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!

  • do u use air when u do this?

  • @HorseLover10672 You contract and release your abs independently from your breathing.

  • @HorseLover10672

when you stick out top abs, you inhale, and push that top part out. Then to continue the roll down the belly, you exhale and stick out the lower abs. It takes a lot of work and practice, but it is worth it. Just try to do the belly flutter! That's when things get really tough. It's all about practicing your inhalation and exhalation timings. You can do it, because I did!

  • haha it looks a bit freaky .. but sooooo cool!

I have to practise a looooot!

    But it's a really good instruction though:D

  • I think it's going to be a soccer player

  • HOW THA HELL CAN U DO THAT!!!!

I guess pratice does make perfect

  • I learned how to do that when I was 5. Never seemed to benefit me at all.

At 45, I can still do it, But I also learned how to do it left to right. ; ) Upwards downwards, side to side. Come on baby, ride girl ride!

  • looks cool, wish i could do it.. although while watching this i have to admit i was waiting for alien to pop out of there! lol, nice vid i must go practice now lol

  • Very nice explanation^^ thnks

How long did it take for you to get like that?

  • Iv'e seen tons of belly roll how to videos since it is the move ive had most trouble doing. Most seem to be directed toward those who already have a natural hability to isolate these muscle groups. This is the only one I have seen so far that suggests the "lean over" technique which to me makes sense. Plus knowing that it took you 4 months to master this really gives me hope that I will too. Eventually...

  • Thanks so much! I've been wondering about this! Will try. :3

  • thank you for breaking it down.

I have a really hard time with the belly rolls,

so I really appreciate this. :D

  • thank you, its a bit difficult but i guess it will look natural after

  • ok this is hard...lol

  • i can do the belly rolee ahaha but dis dnt luk lyke it at all

  • your belly is so beautiful cassie!!!!!!

  • man i can't get my top ones to push out only my bottom ones

  • wow o.0

  • IS this a work out for your abs if you do this?

  • I just can't push the top out for the life of me, I can only push out the bottom and now I feel flabby.

  • i cant seperate it :(

  • nice instructioon! :)

  • can you pls show me how you clean ur bellybutton

  • thanks casie! good tip to lean forward. I'm currently going o classes and it is a little rough, but none the less, practice is needed :) Thanks for beeing sweet

  • damn how u move top and bottom abs i cant do dat

  • it looks like a babby moving in her

    stomach:D LOL

  • i don't like her voice

  • Comment removed

  • dats makes me sick! even doe i belly dance azwell but watchin oda ppl doin it makesme wanna throw up!=[

  • AWESOME yet...creepy! lol But SO COOL! THANKS!

  • Good belly exercise

  • Thanks!

whicked video, don't have it quite yet, but this video made it easier to understand.

  • My stomach makes ugly sounds when I bellyroll, is there a way to avoid it?

  • It happens to me to sometimes but I find it usually when i do it on an empty stomach. Eat something an hour or so before you dance and it should quit gurgling :P

  • how do you separate the upper and the lower?

  • Just practise moving the whole belly as much as you can, after a few days you will be able to feel the upper and the lower muscles.

    Excuse my bad English.

  • Its kind of hard to do at first but once you 'find' the muscles it gets much easier. I figured out how to control them by laying flat on my back and laying something heavy on my stomach like a book (or my cat haha), then I tried to move one end of the book/cat without moving the other. Move the cats head, then move the cats bum. :P

  • woah! good trick! I'm gonna try that!

  • thank you sooo much! this video has really helped me!!!!

  • For me, it's easier if I drink lots of water...

    Go girl

  • that is so cool but creepy!!

it looks like you got a creature trying to claw outa your stomach!!!

  • wtf

    ? i can't do that =\

  • how did u get ur body 2 look flat?? jw

  • whoa... its easy to separate ur lower and upper. i didnt know thts all u basically had to do. i learnt itt

  • Thank you for a very clear and step by step video, and for mentioning that it took you four months. I am a perfectionist and expect to learn things NOW, so I needed the reminder that this will take time a practice. Thanks again.

  • i tryed i cnt but dat shyt iz hott

  • this is hard how do u seperate da two?

  • i use to do that when i was a kid so i belly dance since than hahaha awsome

  • hahahahahahah this is awesome

    your such a babe

  • this is hard...lol

  • how do you seperate your upper and lower?

  • Is there an exercise I can do to isolate those muscles? How do you get your diaphragm to balloon out?

  • this is a hard bit of belly dancing, so darn hard

  • wow, that really get's me insecure, i can't really seem to separate my upper and lower abdominal muscles while doing that... IWANNA DO IT!!!

  • you dont have to be skinny to do this right

  • when im sitting on edge of bed i can sorta do it,standign up..there no hope rofl.

  • JELLY FISHH :D

  • im getting there, more practice i think. thnx for the help! :)

  • esta mae esta sola.... im gonna keep on trying..

  • god instructional video iv'e just always been able to do it idk y but i breathe in when im moving my rib cage out and then i try and push the bottom out so yah this was relly good +)

  • do u hav to hav abs to do that? lol

  • I still cannot stand up straight while doing that ....

  • Technically, you are never supposed to be able to stand up perfectly straight. It's impossible. You should always have your pelvic floor muscles (along with butt) tucked under, with a slight slouch.

  • I managed to control the upper and lower muscles separately the first time I tried it, but I can't pop my chest out at the same time like Rachel Brice can, even now, a few months later.

  • Hey thanks for your video! I'm doing your exercises, I can control the belly, but I can't separate the top, I just can't move it... Can you give me any advice to move the top, please? Thanks!!!!

  • Tried...Can't Do It! lol

    I'll Stick To Hip Rolling.

  • Great stuff! Can you find a way to shed a little more light or your beatiful middle so we can better see it? Video is kind of dark.

    Thanks!

  • you have a huugely relaxing and melodic voice!

  • wow i do gymnastics and i can do that its really easy one day i just did it it was pretty wierd and i do it when i drink water to freak ppl out!

  • um that rolling your abs some people can even do it with out practice strange people lol

  • wooooow that's sooo awesome

  • Thank you sooo much. :)

  • well at least I never thought how to belly roll!I just did it!!!and the very thin girls' belly rolling is lame!also the very fat girls' belly rolling is lame!so it's better to have a nice belly!I dont know how to explain it better!

  • it's not hard!i could do that since i was a little girl!it's about the body!u have it or u dont have it!:P

  • What are you talking about "the body you have"? It has NOTHING to do with the gody you have. It has to do with your adbominal muscle strength.

Not everyone's belly roll is going to look the same but anyone can learn to belly roll.

  • exactly.. it took me three months befor i could even call it something like a bellyroll, but its learnable, now ive been doing it for a year and its improving all the time

  • three months is pretty good. It took me five.

    I'm now practicing belly flutters.

  • I can say there are a buttload of Belly dance instructors that would be very upset with what you just typed here. True bellydancers of the early eras of the crusades were NOT EVEN SKINNY!!! NO WHERE CLOSE TO BEING SO!! Nor did they wear the skimpy little sparkly outfits. They were covered from head to toe and veiled. The only things exposed were their feet and their hands. So "pretty belly" for doing it properly is NO WHERE NEAR a requirement.

  • wow! you make it look so easy!!! its soooo hard but i will keep on trying though! thanks! =)

  • how do you push forward your top muscle

  • SexXxy

  • can't do itttt!!!pls give some tips about pushing the top out! :)

  • I don't know about her, but I don't push my upper out. I pull my lower in and breathe normally. When your upper is relaxed and your lower is contracted, it gives you the bump in your upper abdominals.

  • omgggggggggg i CAN'T SEEM TO DO IT RIGHT

  • Watch the light it's very dark.

  • Question for Queencassie. What were to happen if you were to continue to bellyroll despite having just ate or drank something? Just curious,

  • i couldnt pust the top part out at 1st but i can do it now thnx alot!!! xx

  • lol dat was hard, but i do hiproll but da first minute i tried dat n let me say me can't do dat yet

  • wow that¡s really hard, I do it backwards, but I'll follow ur advice and practice every day!!

  • i cant do it ]:

i cant push the bottom part out

  • kwel but looks gross

  • congratulations queencassie. Who ever writes anb bad comment about this must be one of these sad ppl that have nothing to do and pretend to be experts. U get my full marks. and yes ur voice does sound perfect to teach because ur relaxed and yet detailled. if u still have problems with the other direction of belly roll i will find some one to tape that only and help u like u help other people. congratulations

  • u CAN DO belly rolls forward , backward and "SIDEWAYS" altough in traditional the sideways arenot referred to as proper belly rolls. Most people confuse the forward belly roll with the backward...but hey theres no need to confuse just learn it both ways :) and queen cassie here got one direction. I must must post a video of the other direction which i mastered pretty well so it can compliment queen cassie's awsome video

  • i am a belly dance teacher and i can confirm that your video is so helpful. You must be a great artist aswell because u know what u r doing. lovely dont take notice of the bad comments..jealousy is everywhere hunny

  • Great instruction, cassie.

  • Wonderfull.

I've just started Bellydance and I love it.

I also love all the helpfull video's you and others have made.

    Thank you very much!

  • thanks! helped me alot. I need alot of practice but now I have a good way to do so :)

  • OMG thats sooooo kreepy but uber kool good job!!!!:)

  • this bellyroll is easy but i would like to know hot to make bellyroll in the opposite way?? can you show that bellyroll if you can do it please because that is really hard.. o and btw nice belly;)

  • amazing tips on how to bellyroll..its very tough but yeah i guess it takes practice...i'll start doing this everyday now :D

  • Thanks! Not only was this video really helpful, but (bonus) it also kind of tripped me out. Fun times.

  • they're so hard

  • tell me about it i have been trying for ages i just cant seem to get it lol wat is the secret

  • haha, "just let it hang". well put.

  • I know how to do this its really not hard.Just suck your upper stomach in & then suck your body up & try to release your lower stomach first

  • i can suck in the top and let the bottom hang, but i just can't suck in the bottom afterwards. help please (:

  • I'm backwards I leave the top out and the bottom in

  • This is very helpful. =]]

  • is there any preparations before doing this?

  • how do u prepare the muscles for this tecnque?

  • Well you don't have to do any sit ups, which is good news. Just some light stretching to relax the muscles, by attempting the movement a lot you will gain the muscle memory for it. Be sure to not eat or drink immediately before practicing the bellyroll.

  • That was great, thanks a lot! :) Too bad my stomach is full of apple juice.. *burp*

  • lol!

  • DOON'T TRY THIS AFTER THE DINNER :P !!! ( it's not a good idea..trust me, my stomach is crying LOL )

  • How can your stomach be crying?

  • awesome, u hv serious control over ur belly!!

    fergiehk22

  • how do i move the ab muscles seperatly?

  • I can finally do a belly roll now, yeah!! Thanks for the helpful info!

  • That's great! You're welcome!

  • well..i can suck my upper muscle and that's it. i cant such the lower muscle without sucking the upper one... HELP!!!!

  • That's a great start, when you have the upper muscle pushed out just slowly relax the rest of your stomach so that your whole stomach is pushed out. Just practice that movement and it should help.

  • I think it's easier to just say, "Pull in your upper abs and let it drop." It works for me and looks exactly like that... although it's essentially what you're doing. But still.. hm.

  • i'm able to do the move, but i get really nauseous while doing it does that have something to do with pulling in the muscle too much?

  • I used to get nauseous too when I first started, until I realized I was going to fast. Perhaps slow down some more, stretch beforehand, and don't practice on a full stomach (food or water). Also don't practice for too long a period either, that happens to me if I do it for too long. Take plenty of long breaks.

  • how do i move the upper belly muscle...dats my only problem

  • Can you suck in the upper? Or can't move it at all? You can focus on the lower by sucking it in and pushing it out, or just suck in and push out the entire stomach to gain muscle memory, and then proceed to the upper.

  • what a nice belly u have ;) really u can do it right !!! i like !!! u can do it with the music !? I'd like see u in a complete arabic belly dance can u do it for me and send it to me please !!!!!! large kisssss ;O

  • thanks Cassie, it went to my favorites :-)

  • you look very hot doing it, really good.

  • the instruction wasnt very through but it looks cool

  • i can do it better since i'm like 8 yrs old, without any training.. (i don't wanna blame u, don't get me wrong) i just think this is some crazy ish.. i don't know why i can even do that..? how's it even possible?

    lol

  • its too great, i shll go to ma room and try now and ur tummy is beautiful

  • How about coin tricks? Can you flip coins with belly roll?

  • i can doo thatt.. its soo cool

  • wow ure really good, tnx, i can belly role but not as good as that- looks like theres summin in ure stomach, but ive only been practising for a week, so ill keep tryin xx tnx

  • wow that i very hard my stomach just sticks in and out but im trynig the best i can

  • i can't seem to separate my lower and upper tums! when i push out... the whole blob goes out like santa clause's tum! any suggestion on how to isolate? what exercises do you do? *frastrated*... help! :p

  • To start with do just that, pushing out and in your entire tummy. You will start to gain muscle and your muscles will start to memorize the movement. Then lean over and try to suck in your lower half as if you have stomach cramps. This is a tiny movement and not sucking in all of it. Practice just very tiny separations if you can move just the top or bottom, focus on it first, then progress.

  • We had a party last week and compared your instruction to the awful woman who left the video response. everyone agreed that yours was helpful and hers was useless. Good job and thank you.

  • yu kno yu can get paied for this? persue it!!

  • great job

wow, you have a sooooo nice belly, wwooww =)

your belly roll is very very goood!

please make more vids from your nice tummy, like belly-roll or puff it out!!!

    pplleeaassee =)

    you are sooo geat:)

    so long........

  • Whoa neat! Hehe I like your voice :P

  • Lol, thanks!

  • Well at least I have found a way to get rid of some of my bloating. It made me fart loads of gas right out. Yeah!!!

  • queencassy- thank you so much for posting this. It really helped me out.

    By the way ^_^

my last post was for the girls who were still having trouble tith those belly rolls.

  • You're welcome, glad it helped!

  • hey!

just wanted to say that this vid really helped :)

  • That's great!

  • I can't do from the lower and up..I can only do from the top and down...This is soo hard !

  • It's ok if you can only do it one way, some ways are easier than others.

  • cassssiiieee! it's been months now, and my belly roll still sucks! I can do one of them (I think the regular one), very badly, and then the reverse belly roll is even more pathetic, still just looks like I'm sucking my tummy in and out.

are some people just unable to ever do them? or do I have to practice even more? (I don't practice every single day, but I do practice!)

  • I think you just need more reptition, mine started out very faintly. I f you can just grasp the main movement, keep taking it very very slowly. I think most have the potential to do it with a lot of reptition, time, and practice. There are also those who probably can't, but don't get discouraged.

  • like my abs are rolling and i can also do this one but it's harder to me and i realized i use my breath to do it any advice on how to stop doing that?

  • That's perfectly fine, you are just doing it backwards which is just another way of doing it, it looks just as great. You can still keep practising both ways as well. I am currently practising the backwards way myself.

  • Hi cassie... the belly roll well i never practiced when i tried i couldnt so i just dropped it a long time ago i was trying cause i was bored and i was able to do it i was surprised but my belly roll it's different yours it's from the top abs to the lower abs it looks like your whole torso it's rolling mine it's from the lower to the upper abs and only looks

  • how on earth do u separate the two muscles?? ahh im frustrated..lol

  • You have to move very very slowly, like in slo-mo, that's how I started out. In my first bellyroll vid, you can see my bellyroll isn't very pronounced, just the tiniest movement. As I practiced more I was able to separate my muscles more. Even the tiniest movement counts. Just start by pulling in and pushing out your whole stomach to get used to the movement, then try to focus it on the top part of your stomach, and then the bottom part.

  • All sizes can bellyroll, it just might look a bit different, but if you have the movement you can still see it regardless of size. I think there are some vids somewhere of heavier girls doing bellyrolls and it looks the same as mine, though maybe closer to undulations. Just practice the movement any way you can, and don't get discouraged if it's really slow or not as pronounced.

  • very nice instruction. great rolling! thanks for making this.

  • By Your leave,Your Highness. If only the chambermaids had made Your Royal bed, then Your Grace could have shed yet more light upon the Royal Belly. It would have so enhanced this lowly subjects comprehension of the lesson. Yet I remain so honoured that you have so graciously simplified so complex a subject for me. Thank You my Queen.

  • ahh i can sorta kinda do it now, but i can't find the way to push out the upper muscles

  • Can you push out and suck in the bottom muscles? Or is is just pushing out? Can you pull in the upper muscles?

  • yep i can but every time I pull the muscles from the bottom, the upper muscles go with them, is like I couldn't separe them

  • Is it just the when you pull in the bottom muscles? Can you pull in the top muscles separately?

  • nope

  • Hi. ^_^

Have you ever tried it sitting in a chair while leaning forward? That's how I started to figure it out. It's a really good way to help you relax the separate parts of the belly (remember that the abs are naturally activated when one is standing). when you get good at it sitting down, then you can work on the standing version. ^_^

    I hope that helps =\

  • ahh now i get it thanks

  • very hot body
