Glo's got some fun uptempo hits, but she invests the slower songs w/real nuance. So refreshing to hear someone sing ballads w/power & range in their voice w/out the melismatic flourishes that Mariah's vocal style has made ubiquitous over the last 18 years. You can have Leona Lewis & her bleeding love; I'll take Gloria any day!

In 2004 Gloria and her husband closed on some property in Vero beach Fla 3 weeks later we had back to back hurricanes Jeanne and Frances 2 weeks apart. It destroyed her resort and alot of The Treasure coast. We didn't have power or water for weeks. She and her husband volunteered to do a concert to raise money for the victims
