Im sorry to say it, even thoug its a ultra rare track and all that, but this should never have been recorded nor reached my ears - i love this song but I really can't come to terms with this crappy version, Mr. Evans nearly ruined it for good!! Thanks to Bon it has become an imotal classic!

Anyone with a knowledge of AC/DC bootlegs KNOWS that this is in fact the Dave Evans Hampton Hotel bootleg from 1974, the first recorded AC/DC concert. To say that this isn't AC/DC is just ignorant.

Yes this is ac/dc. I have the bootleg cd of this whole gig. It goes for nearly an hour and there's many cover versions on it. One being Honkey Tonk Woman. Their original unreleased song Old Bay Road is not on it unfortunately tho.

If you have engineered live sound for over 30 years...then you should now that the technology back then isn't even close to what it is now. Maybe just maybe this is a raw audio recording not re-mastered...ever thought that...Audio Tapes compared to Digital is billion times difference between them.

He didn't get fired. Evens and the Young brothers (i.e. Malcum and Angus) ACDC band had personality conflicts which affected the band. He left ACDC with a mutual understanding.

This IS AC/DC with Dave Evans. Dave had the tape at one time. It was just a cassette player set up against one of the amps at the Hampton Court Hotel. I know Dave very well, and I know this recording is genuine. Just because you run a studio, doesn't mean a hill of beans to anyone!!

There's a bootleg available called "In the beginning" that this and about 10 others came from. Sound quality on most of them is horrible, but still kind of fun to listen to. You can usually find a copy on Ebay, or various places on the net.
