Nice Rainbow Shark, I used to have 2 blacks ones but they died when I was moving :( Now i have a white one. His kinda mean and kicks the other fish out of behind the rocks, but he can be nice sometimes too. I just started posting videos of my tank check him out, I had him for a little more than a year, can't wait until he gets bigger. Maybe ill get another one when I get my Bigger tank.
thanks we bot one more ad got more fish a bigger cave and he hogged it up and no one goes in it. we also wanna no, if we catch grumpy and put him in a jar for a punishment for a while??? does it help
i have 4 rainbow shakrs2 of them are normal and before we had 3 and there is one who takes this little cave over and when people get too close to it it attacks the poor figshies but we call him grumpy and the lately there is a rainbow shark that has been killing fish at my dads work and my dad brote that killer rs home and know grumpy and kiler shark are attacking it is horrible im worried my dad says we havet to kill them do u guys have any ideas on how to make theese too fish STOP attacking???
@EPIKreligion To be honest with you, you should only ever have 1 shark per tank. Sharks are incredibly territorial, which is why one of them is hogging the cave. The only way to resolve your issue is to create more areas that the sharks can call their own, or get rid of 3 of them, and just keep one.
Cool Rainbow Shark, stop by and take a look at mine. I have two, one is an Albino Rainbow Shark. I also have three Red-Tail Black Sharks in my tank too. There are actually several different species in my tank. Come on by an look at some of my posted videos, some pretty interesting items to be seen.
Ash I have a rainbow shark too little guy was so skinny when I bought him now he's a lil fatty basically now owns the tank and bosses around my tiger barbs :P
@500bmw1 Aww bless! My tank is 125 litres. He's been alright really, he sorts out the other bullys in the tank such as the spanner barbs. I'm pretty sure most of my other, less agressive fish would be dead without him :)
@Reconciliasion They may vary in colour over time, could be a factor of age, what environment its in such as the water temperature, I recommend 24-25ºC. Could also have something to do with diet, try and vary it as much as possible. Feeding bloodworms will give an improvement in colour of all of your fish. As for the Angelfish, he should get along OK with them, as long as you only have one shark. Thanks for the question, please rate the video & subscribe. Chris
@Reconciliasion Haha, my Rainbow Shark would never let me hand feed him, too much of a wuss :( . That sounds hilarious about the trumpet snails :D. Thanks for the comment. please check out my other videos and subscribe. Chris @ OnlineFishTank
@MrAndrewMitreski This sounds quite normal. What colour has it changed to. Check your water parameters and just keep an eye on him in the next few days. If you see any strange behaviour or have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
i just got a rainbow shark and put him in my tank with a bala shark and silver dollar. but he has been hiding in this hut in the tank. any advice/info?
@catchsurf1 He is probably still trying to find his place in the tank. If the Bala Sharks are currently bigger than the Rainbow Shark, it will feel somewhat threatened. His confidence will build in time, and it is good that he has found his own territory, although it isn't usually recommended keeping two different breeds of Shark in the same tank, unless the tank is pretty big.
@catchsurf1 For one, I hope you did research on the fish. Bala sharks need groups of 5+ in a 125+ gallon tank. Silver dollars are schooling fish just like the balas. 2 different kinds of "sharks" should not be kept together because the red tailed sharks and rainbow sharks are aggressive.
@FreshFilbor Hello, the tank is 125 litres in size, you can see further details in my other videos. How big is your albino rainbow shark? Thanks for the comment!

what do YOU feed your rainbow shark
SteveDaBoss100 1 year ago
@SteveDaBoss100 It mainly feeds on algae wafers and flake food as it floats to the bottom of the tank.
