in japan, there is no space for parking. what they do is, the built it either in a tower form or underground. the auto parking system parks the car in to these tower/underground parking space. in addition, your car will not get stolen.

no... they just want to save some space... Japan esp. Tokyo, which is one of the most dense city in the world... so, saving space is crucial..
