i have this camer and it dosnt have auto focos while recording! :( and u cant take pics that move or it will be a blur! but i love the feutures of this cam!! like fish eye and minuture mode and stuff! :)

Just to add an important note here: start up time can be drastically reduced by turning off the staup image of "canon" in the menu.

I power on the camer and snap a quick shot in about 2 seconds.

Great camera, great features for amateurs and pros alike.

does this camera have that feature where you click to start the video, and when you click it again it just pauses but stays on the same video? because the last camera I got from canon, as soon as I clicked the start button for video and when I pushed it again it just saves it, it doesn't stay on the same video. This can be a little annoying if for example it was a surprise party, you wanted to film them walking in, but you didn't want the video to have all the waiting time, so you got to pause

my friend has this camera...horrible blurry pics close to every time. blown out edges...just look weird. I had an SD1000....pros used to ask me what cam i was using but its broken to expensive to fix. Idk what to do now. Im not impressed with the 1300 (everything is dull & darker). Idk Im ready to call canon & buy a refurb good camera in the SD's that were fantastic.

@ericgable Well #1. don't take new pictures or videos. Try something called "testdisk" I recover alot of things with this thing. luckily

The 'busy' signal is probably because the SD card inside is a 'slower' version. It requires more time to save it to the SD card. There are currently faster ones.
