  • katie "yeah cuz she looks much difference than most actresses that we come to". really katie!? and i thought i was bryant who the obnoxious one!

  • @LaneeDaDiva If you think Gabby Sidibe is big, she doesn't even come close to the 'real' Precious described in 'Push'. The 'real' Precious is as tall as 6'7" and weighs up to 400 lbs. with a skin complexion dark enough to match new black clothes sold in department stores. I guess they couldn't find any 6'7", 400-lb., black-complected women who could perform as well as Gabby, lol!

  • WOULDNT SAY IT TO ME!

  • No, genius, because she is untalented and a HORRIBLE example for young negresses to follow. You brain dead race obsessed morons are so silly.

  • Obese negro woman. That must have been hard to find in Harlem. What a joke.

  • thank god she didnt win an Oscar

  • @jessejames1729 Look what happened to Sandra Bullock after she won the Best Actress Oscar...Her husband cheated on her...In a sense, if Gabby Sidibe won the Oscar, the 'Oscar curse' may come upon her like it did to Sandra Bullock...

  • @glennrickard1958 hey retard he didnt cheat after hes been cheating for years, get a clue before you respond, why r u sticking up for this fat load anyways

  • the only people that is fat and ugly is the load in the interview!

  • is that a gorilla??

  • @jessejames1729

Go stick your penis in the toaster.

    See what happens.

  • you really hurt my feelings with that comment

  • @jessejames1729

Shut your damn mouth, your just a lonely little douche bag that sits and wanks what he thinks is a penis all day.

  • @jessejames1729

    You're Darwin's biggest obstacle.

    ;)

  • no that fat load in the video is

  • @jessejames1729

Go crawl back up the Devil's asshole. After all, that IS where you came from.

  • the more u get pissed off the funnier it is to me ,so lets stop this soon

  • @jessejames1729

I'm not pissed, I enjoy insulting you.

    Stop soon?

    Running out of comebacks?

  • no im just watching seinfeld , it a funny episode

  • @jessejames1729

    Haha.

    Tool.

  • ONCE AGAIN DONT WATCH THIS!THEN

  • Darwin? lol I think Flabby Gabby is the missing link. I feel bad for the people who had to sit next to this horrid 'girl'. My god, the smell of chicken grease alone must have been nauseating.

  • In today's PC world, we're supposed to act as if this silverback gorilla is beautiful and talented, simply because it makes ugly negro women feel like it's ok for them to be so hideous. Sad.

  • WOULDNT SAY IT TO ME!

  • @AjmortShows Sure I would! Now go get some syrup for my pancakes

  • @Alfrunk dont compare yourself to my dead grandmom by telling me what to do

  • If it wasn't about color ,well how come Precious wasn't white, that's because white folks wasn't going allow this shit to happen to they're image.

  • That makes no sense, you moron (and learn to spell). The book was written about a black girl, that's why she was black. GET IT?

  • Blacks don't care about their image for God's sake - you people glorify crime and murder in rap music all the time.

  • WHAT YOU MEAN BY YOU PEOPLE?!

  • @AjmortShows You people=black people. The ones who glorify rape and violence in your 'music' and 'culture'.

  • What's wrong with you?

  • movie is very raw, i criedd, laughed, was in shock, I had nightmares about moniqes character. She must of went to a dark place as actress for that role. Precious is a very strong protaginist, not sure how many people could survive a situation like that is real life and still fee" here"

  • be honest (if u read the book), could you imagine working with someone who been thru that??? i mean, it IS a film, if im an actor, i dont want to do the an actress what PRECIOUS went thru for real...kina cruel, no?

  • i think that's a pathetic outlook.

it's like condemning the actor who plays Artie in Glee because he is not disabled in real life.

you cannot just push pure talent to the side because of one characteristic that does not fall into line.

the film's budget did not allow it to just visit neighbourhood to find a girl who best resembled the character of precious.

i think the casting was held decently; if you're going to combat the actress, Gabourey Sidibe, then why not condemn the casting of Mo'nique?

  • lalaleeka (part one): i'll be honest, "pathetic" kind of hurts. my comment wasn't meant to be a blanket condemnation of artistic portrayals of disability just for the fact that their actors are rarely disabled in real life. while i can empathize with the frustration of the blind and deaf community over the recent casting of the girl from little miss sunshine as helen keller, for example,

  • Do you understand the concept of ACTING? This is why Flabby Gabby isn't a good actor - she isn't acting at all, she's playing herself, which anyone could do.

  • WRONG! Gabby's personality is 180 degrees away from Precious. This is what makes her such a fine actress: she actually is ACTING!

  • @Alfrunk

You haven't seen any interviews with Gobourey do you? For your information she is a very lively, happy and funny person. The only reason you say she is playing herself is because we want to see big people to be unhappy and depressed. We are influenced by the media that we can only be happy if we are a certain body type. If you are not that way you have to change. FUCK THAT SHIT!

Next time if you want to bash somebody do some research first!

  • lalaleeka (continued): i also see the importance for the production's financial success in securing a well-known actress instead of a lesser known one from the actual blind or deaf communities. what upset me about this interview was the dismissal that sapphire seemed to show for the abilities and potential of the kind of girl that she writes about. but i haven't read "push," so maybe her dismissal is justified! i don't know. i hope it isn't. what do you think?

  • Didn't The Color Purple, also a novel, deal with some of the same themes? No one is chasing Alice Walker with a strait jacket.

  • Okay, I've never been big on Katie Couric, but I really didn't care for how she kept dissing on Gabourey's looks in such an obvious fashion! She could have commented that she isn't a "contemporary beauty" or is a "departure from the cover-girl norm". She basically called Gabourey butt-ugly, which she isn't! I think Katie was overcompensating for her own feelings of aesthetic inferiority to the up-and-coming young dames of journalism. SOUR GRAPES!!!!!!!!!

  • You seem to spend a lot of time watching and commenting on vids about it to be so bitterly opposed to it... Does Elvis talk to you?

  • This is a voice for every young person Male or female that has been in those same shoes. It is hope and it is light for those who don't think anyone cares...

  • Comment removed

  • Just read the book.....No way i se the movie now.....Cant imagine it to do the book justice.

  • I agree. The book is... wow. Sometimes I had to put it down because it was just so explicit. But I love the book, one of my favourites.

  • I love it! Can't wait to see the movie.
